There's so much nerding going on in this video! I love to see it! From the nerdgasms toward the end, to the geek weapons, & the encyclopedia of words 💫 Great video 🙌🏿
I hope y'all are still doing cool stuff like this. I wish I had went with my first choice of biology instead of art in college. I love art, but access to medical and lab equipment would have been very useful. I want to discover or develop an open source way for people to extract and sequence their own DNA without all these companies take store your data and don't give you all your information, so we can skip the process of medical gaslighting and decades it takes to identify rare diseases and susceptibility to conditions that would otherwise be overlooked in our standard medical system currently. Science education and understanding our own bodies should be accessible to everyone.
Have you done any forging in B.C. Canada? Vancouver island in particular still has old growth forest and lots of second growth, there is an an incredible eco system here that you should defiantly try to check out in your lifetime. I have been watching all your videos, thanks for the abundance of knowledge you are putting out for the world and the work you are doing.
Hi Apex Grower I'm in first bachelor of industrial engineer and for our project we have to grow algea. Do you have any tips and tricks for us additional to your already amazing video's? Thank you in advance!
tip 1: if growing algae from the ocean then get water from the ocean, filter it, and use this as the water for making culture media. if growing algae from freshwater then get some water from a river nearby and filter that, use it for the water in your media. tip 2: propagate the culture every 7 days (don't let your culture get old and crash/die) tip 3: keep the cultures continuously shaking
like being a fly on the wall. awesome Apex
Willam wat up bro!
Good to see you back posting and in the lab my G..

So great, citizen science for the win!
I loved watching this. Cross pollination of different Scientist species 💓
I greatly enjoyed this foray into Cordyceps Gene Sequencing with the homies!!! 💜

Just returned from Mycofest 2022 where I learned about this process for the first time, so cool, love how much fun you were having!

amazing! I wish you guys would collaborate with floralogic on mushroom genetics!
Thanks for the inspiring video. Where is "down there" when you referenced living down there and doing science down there? Somewhere south?
Thanks 🔥
She does pretty good explaining with ATGC
You are all just too cool and interesting, I feel embarrassed that I haven't done nearly as much cool shit lol
What exactly can you do now with this dna sequencing information?
This is amazing!!

I love this guy man his work with mushrooms has me envious #oneday
Hey William, do you have instructions on how you put together that flow hood pls?
wow!
Aaaahhmazing!!
anyone have the Primer Sequence for Cordys? They took down the OG article
This some fuck yeah
the energy is exhilarating
More geeky shite! Just keeps getting better! Thanks!
Lol you guys are like crazy scientists
But why do you want to sequence mushroom dna?
What!? You’re not going to quantify!? 🤣 (I don’t even know what that means). S’all cool!
Sanger sequencing seems like the only time DNA needs to be purified, but amplification for breeding naaahhh
the Nanopore is blowing my fucking mind.. im driving up to NY soon to give one a try, yall much closer tho hahaha
how'd yall link with Dr. Boykin? Have you met Sigrid Jakobs yet? Lemme know if yall wanna link!
Shroom geeks fo sure!
