When listening to carols I am transported back to when I was a little girl and smelling the pine needles on the tree, making decorations, watching my mother cooking and going to the stores of a night to see the windows decorated with animated scenes. I'm 865 years. I love christmas, always have been. Although when I started celebrating it, it was all about honoring Odin. Oskoreia we called it. And there was also Mordranit...but we do not speak of her today. What blind luck there was an important dude being born at that exact day - and now we celebrate his birth instead. I do miss the wild hunt though.
