As mentioned its a 1967 Fairlane 500 and not a GT. When I was 16 I purchased a 2 year old 1967 Fairlane 500 with the standard 390-4 barrel rated at 315 HP and 4 speed. In stock trim they were capable of a 14 second 1/4 mi at around 90+mph. I remember the fun changing the spark plugs near the shock towers. Mine was red on red with a bench seat. Joe Taylor, I wonder why it had the antenna in a different spot 🤔 Unless it was an original radio-delete from Ford and the previous owner had one installed during his ownership. 🤷
35 or so years ago I bought a 66 Fairlane 500 with a 302 and a three speed. I yanked the engine and trans out, built a 351C ( 4bbl heads of course ) and found a toploader 4spd to stick back in.
