As for ashtrays..some are so unique, and have many uses. Many crafters, and mom's use them as paintbrush holders...whether it is them working on a project or a child, be it paint or glue, they make clean-up easy!!
Hi Sue! Thanks for all the great things to use ashtrays for!! I had a large cigar one I used for paper clips and stuff like that! I have to go thru my collection and start getting some of them sold! xo :)
Fantastic. The early Pyrex covered dish with the etched metal holder was my favorite. That kind of thing always reminds me of the old fashioned United Methodist Church covered dish dinners I went to as a kid in the 1970's. The funny thing is that some of the "old church ladies" born before the turn of the century were in their 80's and 90's at that time and would have actually received glass like that at their weddings in the 19 teens. When you lifted the lid, I could just smell the green bean casserole or three bean salad! Thanks for sharing.
Thankful I found your channel. Lots of fun going through your videos. My parents Live in Titisville, FL and my stepDad hits every flea market and sale there is. He has bought and sold nearly everything. Amazing what he has found, cleaned up, and the CLEANED UP, if you know what I mean! ;() can't believe what he can buy and sell for. Thanks and appreciate your "hauls". So interesting. Really get an education and makes you look around at items differently. I have that fruit tray in clear glass. I thought it was a bit older than what you stated, (I had no idea, just thought it was from my Nana or Great Gram's era)- one of my favorite pieces. Use to have it on my dresser for jewelry, now back in the dining hutch.
Hi Courtney....love to thrift up that way! Your tray could very well and probably is older..the clear ones where produced firt...thanks for your lovely comment.xo
I have the clear 5 part relish tray..... I used it on my dresser for jewelry for many years, and when I moved, started using it on my bathroom vanity for miscellaneous..... perfume, lotion, lip gloss.... I love them.
Hi Leianna...I do the same thing! I have a relish tray on my dresser for odds and ends and in my bathroom I have a pink depression dish that I use to hold my toothpaste....I love them too xo
Great haul, Michelle! Love the pink Glass bake and the Pyrex covered dish and the metal trays. We're having citywide garage sales in our town this weekend; can't wait! Temps are in the 60's during the day finally; heatwave! TFS.
Hi Elaine...I wish I was there to go to your citywide garage sales...sounds awesome....good luck and let me know what you find so I can live vicariously through you! I was so happy to find the glassbake and the pryex...my house is getting too small lolol xo Michelle Enjoy the spring weather :)
love the info and the colors on those glasbakes! so brillant! I think they ship all the glass we don't purchase right down t you we see all the same wexford, dishes up here in hoosier land too at gwill love the old casseroles too! I found two pieces of jadeite today a lilypad bowl & plate :):) great video Michelle! send us up some sunshine it's been raining for close o a week now :(

Sounds like you found some lotus bowls/plates awesome finds...Yeah Wexford is just about everywhere...and totally here at my house also...I have to start selling off some of my glasses I have well it seems like millions!!! :) xo Michelle...Yuck on the rain..been raining here also...weekend was pretty much a washout...yesterday Storms galore the sun is out today so I will send some your way xo Michelle
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware yes! thats what I meant Lotus.... :) I love the green jadeite and every piece I get i try to keep I think I have three sets of the two pieces( bowls & Plate )now... they are rare up here ... I've been finding more than we use to a few years ago... :)
Funny you had that PSA about not drinking from the plates. I can remember my grandfather's generation pouring tea from their cups into their saucers and drinking it. Why? I don't know. It was something they did. Like the opalescent centrepiece!
They must’ve continue to produce the fruit tray into the later 80s or else someone’s store must have had older inventory. I received that sane glass fruit tray as a gift (clear one, though) at my first wedding in 1986! 🤗. Great haul! Love it!
Yeah I got kinda lucky with this one..I had trouble even finding out if Indiana made one in carnival glass as sometimes it can just be the oils on it that make it look carnival...but I saw an original box of this one online finally...so I was happy to verify!!! Do you still use yours???? TFW and commenting xo
I still have it but don't use it very often. BTW, I was thinking...just because I received it in '86 doesn't mean the person who gave it to us bought it in '86. It could've been something they had since the 70s and regifted!
Yeah I wouldn't call most pyrex antique although the pryrex craze is on!! (I love it too), but to find and indentify a piece that old was well, awesome!!! :) Thanks for watching Steve...xo
I pass on Kings Crown nearly every Saturday I go Garage sailing, but I had the courage to buy since watching your vlog. Pair of red wash candlesticks for a $1.00.
I loved the divided Carnival dish. Not my favorite color, but it's great for Thanksgiving to put olives, pickles, & celery with cheese!! The color works for the Fall! ☺💖
I always learn so much from your videos! Is there a place I can find pictures of the different Pyrex logos with dates? I watch on my phone and its hard to get a good look at it on video. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!
hi Doug thank you! I cant remember exact websites as I am always finding new ones. If you type in a search for dating pyrex backstamps you should be able to find some very Informative stuff!!! :)
Hi Michelle, I have a question. WHAT WOULD THE SMALL RED TRAYS BE USED FOR? I loved them but not such if they are a table item or something else?!? As always great haul, beautiful things! Thank You!!
Hi vicki....they are called tip trays, but people use them for small snacks I guess or I really don't know..I use mine by the computer for my coffee and to hold my pen, buts these are bigger xo
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware thank you, yes now that you mention it, I do remember them referred to as tip trays. I was just curious because there are are several of them. Thank you Michelle!
Hopefully you are on a roll with the pink and turquoise items!! And Oh my! I bought all 4 of the Beanie Babies at a garage sale for 25 cents each, and I just sold them at my garage sale for $1 each. LOL!! And... no wonder a lady snapped up my green glasses like the ones you showed...Boopie (sp?) for $5 a set of 4. She got two sets...the smaller and the larger. Good luck at the sales this week.
Hi D! How funny about the beanie babies! Those burple and boopie glasses are so MCM!!! People love em and the color. Don't laugh at me or you can if you want..I cant stop thinking about how lucky you were to find those jadite bowls...hmmm :) I probably need some help lolol...good luck to you also..I have enough for my next 2 vidoes...I don't know if I can keep myself out of the stores for a few days!!!!! xo
You are so funny! I know what you mean about the Jadeite bowls. There are always pieces that you keep thinking about---especially when you have left them at a sale. I wish that I could have bought a few more pieces of china at the estate sale last week but they were a little more than I wanted to pay when I already had bought several pieces!
Wow! 1915! they made things to last forever! some great finds. the small rimmed milk glass....I got in a milk glass hunt and walked into a new goodwill I had never been to before and they had like the whole set of five, graduating sizes, plus some if he milk glass I bought the set for about $10 and all the remaining milk glass they had. I love them. I use in my bathroom and my bedroom to hold jewelry. Great video. thanks for sharing. 💝💝
oops not a first commenter I am slipping Michelle lol anyway some stunning carnival glass finds wow that anchor hocking piece before the carnival really unusual
other places are probably better now..although some are not...it is just the fact that their are so many outlets to sell that saturate the market...the market for glassware and such is not what it used to be say 15 or 20 years ago :(
Thrifting 101...Identify & Buy! Vintage Glassware Thats what I suspected, used to Ebay a lot...not so much since market price drops. your finds are so nice..best!
Absolutely LOVE your videos! I’m a new sub, and I appreciate all the information you include and how you view each item. Beautiful work! Just a question. I’m starting a retro bar cart, but I’m not sure how to clean vintage glasses with gold trim. I’m afraid of using the wrong thing and ruining it. Any information it greatly appreciated. Tfs your awesome videos!
Hi Kim and thanks so much for finding my channel!! I appreciate your kind words very much!! I use a product called Peak..its like a silver polish but it works on all kinds of things! I would try that.....a retro bar cart sounds like a great idea!! xo Michelle P.S. a lot of buffing that gold trim would be a good idea also!
Those are cool trays, I never find any of them! Too bad they didn't make a purple burple. I have one of those carnival relish trays in my shop! Great great stuffs!
thanks Jeffery...I knew that dish wasn't worth all that much but it is always sooo hard to pass em up when ya see em for $2 :) Purple burple.....lol...you crack me up...:) xo
The trays are the best! easy to ship and always a great seller!! This is the first time in awhile I have run into them (2x's no less) found a tin bowl...very cool...next video or the one after that!
As for ashtrays..some are so unique, and have many uses. Many crafters, and mom's use them as paintbrush holders...whether it is them working on a project or a child, be it paint or glue, they make clean-up easy!!

thanks Scott...its the memories that make it all so sweet isn't it? The older the piece the more excited I get!!! :)
Love the carnival glass tray.
One of my favourite hauls, Michelle! Love all the different colours and textures and especially the unusual olive dish!
Hi Jan my dear friend!! Thanks as always...xo Michelle. I got lucky was able to find some great stuff over the weekend!!

Thanks Karen xo
Thanks again Michelle!
And thanks again to YOU Rose xo :)
Was that casserole dish in the metal cradle originally yellow, or is it due to age? Love it!
Funny you had that PSA about not drinking from the plates. I can remember my grandfather's generation pouring tea from their cups into their saucers and drinking it. Why? I don't know. It was something they did. Like the opalescent centrepiece!
Thanks Lorna....as always....xo Michelle
Jane Glad to hear Pop wasn't the only "saucer drinker"!
Ya know what??? After thinking about it I can see my Poppy drinking out of the saucer also!!!
I always drink out of my plates, don't you?!? Lol. Love the Pyrex with the metal holder. 💜
Hi Carol...I was thinking I was a cat for a minute :) :) xo

Vintage Pyrex never occured to me that pyrex could be a legit antique. I would have passed on it a garage sale for a $1.00. Now I love it!
Yeah I wouldn't call most pyrex antique although the pryrex craze is on!! (I love it too), but to find and indentify a piece that old was well, awesome!!! :) Thanks for watching Steve...xo
