Recently paid a visit to Columbia Falls, Montana. Went to some thrift stores there looking for something quite specific and found a store on the way to Big Fork and viewed a very 'stuffed' store and there was a cut glass/crystall sugar and creamer. Sort of thought I 'wanted' them but I was flying and space in my luggage already taxed with purchases while there, walked around lots of 'wexford' stuff too and kept going back to the sugar and creamer..a couple of times and decided to purchase the set at $3.50! I thought I might leave it with my family living in Montana....but reworked my luggage and made room and they are now 'here' at home, washed and shine like diamonds. Thanks to you for 'educating' us on what to look for..American Brillian, sawtooth edges, diamond cuts on the handles similar to the large double handled item you just talked about. Learn so much from your posts and how to know what is out there!!! Thank you!!!

Thank you for sharing. I love my crystal. Right now, it is super cheap in our local thrift stores. I just flick a piece with my fingernails to test if it is crystal. If it is, it will ring almost like a bell. Glass just thumps. Also, I carefully feel to determine if it is pressed or cut glass. Cut glass crystal has definite clean sharp edges and is more expensive than pressed crystal. Your water experiment was great.

That was some kind of sale you went to!! Wowza the stuff is beautiful!! The last two estate sales I've been to in NC have been more like high end thrift store prices. The last one I went to I only bought 3 vintage empty hat boxes. They were in okay shape..and clearly not been taken care of very well......but I wanted them to store some hats so I didn't care what they looked like. There were no prices on them so I asked a auction employee walking around for a price. He told me $5 a piece. When I told the checkout lady he had given me a price of $5 each ...she said hateful "WELL lady! It's your LUCKY DAY bc they should be $9 a PIECE!!!" Sooo Rude! Good grief....I don't do drama. It's just an estate sale not a boutique. I haven't been back to that auction company's sales yet. I soooo enjoy your channel.....your finds...your decorating. Keep up the great inspirations!!!

The last two estate sales I've been to in NC have been more like high end thrift store prices. The last one I went to I only bought 3 vintage empty hat boxes. They were in okay shape..and clearly not been taken care of very well......but I wanted them to store some hats so I didn't care what they looked like. There were no prices on them so I asked a auction employee walking around for a price. He told me $5 a piece. When I told the checkout lady he had given me a price of $5 each ...she said hateful "WELL lady! It's your LUCKY DAY bc they should be $9 a PIECE!!!"
