The best thing about these ladies were they were professionals and not 'diva' on set like these actors these days. The respect between these ladies to the crew and vice versa were remarkable.

What does “these days” have to do with anything? There were definitely divas back then, and there are respectful professionals today. There are both types in any era.
I love the Golden Girls.It is my.favorite show. Up to last week I used to watch them when I woke up on Lifetime tv and when I went to sleep.It was much better than to listen to the covid 19 news.
I love how sweet and brilliant Betty , Estelle and Bea are but Rue has such an adorable spark too
Blanche is criminally underrated! Her sass & campiness was priceless.
I LOVED the Herring Circus story. That was one of my favorite cheese cake moments. Favorite controversial episode was when Blanche was dating an emotionally abusive jerk.

It was such a big hit in Britain. 10 o'oclock on a Friday night on C4. In the days when C4 was the best British channel. Not the joke it is now.
It sounds like the Lifetime cable network channel here in America. It used to be one of the best cable channels here in America and now the network is a joke now also.
So many of the great networks are now jokes, USA and Canada too. Crazy. Since they started doing reality tv it all went downhill.

I also don't understand why they took the show.off Lifetime tv. We used to have it at nite at 10.00pm and in the morning at 8 oclock.It was the best....
It was ended because Bea Arthur called it a day after 7yrs, as she felt it was time!

Bea Arthur wanted to leave at season 5 because she thought she couldn't take her character any further and it would just get repetitive. She stayed on but said that season 7 would be her last.
Seemed like she got it right.
Our own network will not Will & Grace or The Golden Girls reruns anymore. The network I am talking about is Logo. Please somebody tell when will Logo bring back The Golden Girls and Will & Grace. If Logo does not show these shows any more. It is possibility that Logo network is getting ready to shut down.
I think the 7th season of The Golden Girls was not based on reality, it became silly through out the season.
