I can confirm din. Finally someone talked about the real performance of the engine. As an owner myself of both the 4x4 next gen everest and raptor Even on normal mode, Iba ang initial hatak ng next gen ranger raptor compared sa next everest and wildtrak. It’s subtle pero very significant pa rin. Add mo pa na may sports mode and baja mode ang raptor to bring in more performance in terms of response and acceleration. So if you ask me if the biturbo is enough- yes (for ph roads at least). One additional thing that I love about it is yung 360 camera is 1 click away na lang from activating instead sa next gen everest and wildtrak where you need to bring up the “driver assist” screen sa infotainment display. At one dealer I have asked for my deposit to be returned. One dealership requires you to pay 167,000php for their insurance.
Great review from a daily driver perspective since most of us here will rarely go off road. I'm from Malaysia and have test drove the V6 version but i have ordered the 2L diesel which suits my driving style more. From my obsessive youtube video binging on the raptor, I think some Thai reviewers did mention that the Raptor 2L diesel have different fuel map for gear 1-3 compared to the normal rangers. But since my comprehension of Thai is limited, be good if any Thai viewers here can chip in. What i would like to ask is on the Fox 2.5inch internal bypass suspension. Is there any noticeable difference with the ones with live valve on the V6? Any viewers here with the experience, pls do share
Just want to share that in my experience on my Subaru XV, the paddle shifter is beneficial for using engine brake when driving downhill because I think the automatic transmission is programmed to maximize fuel economy so it will always be at the highest gear possible. I have not tried this feature yet on my next gen Raptor but I intend to once I get the RFID installed for a trip to Baguio. Nice review. Cheers! P.S. In the city I only get 4km per liter. I am not sure if this is normal or due to my driving style. The Raptor can really accelerate fast. Have not tried it in SLEX and NLEX.
I also use the paddle shifters on my next gen raptor for long downhill rides. very useful tbh. best way to control gears than the usual buttons on the gear shifter.
If you have the previous raptor not advisable para mag upgrade ka, when it comes to performance wala sya malaking pinagka iba aside sa mga additional features na wala sa previous raptor. But if have that extra money to spend GO!
I am still waiting for my unit (haba ng pila) but I am happy to know that I choose Raptor more than Wildtrak 4x4. Based on the videos here in YT, most midsize truck (Navara, Strada, Hilux, or D-Max) in the country easily tackles the Raptor in the highway but never the Bi-Turbo Wildtrak.

I'm sure they tuned the throttle ratio a bit higher than 1:1 to improve response, they may also have tuned the motor itself to respond better, which is needed for the larger tires and the more sporting nature people expect from a Raptor product. I think for the Philippines, the bi-turbo diesel makes the best sense for most situations. The Raptor is relatively affordable, similar in price to a loaded Fortuner that you see millions of on the road. People who buy it will actually care about fuel costs. A customer for a RAM Rebel gas 5.7L at 5 million probably won't care about the 5.5km/L they are getting.
Nice review sir been following you since you released the first video about the raptor. One question i have is, if i by somehow get the raptor over the wildtrack . How does it compare in terms of fuel efficiency. Nag aalala ako sa practicality, Im an engineer and honestly the road condition going to the site is like a medium trail for me it' beside lake mapanuepe 😅. The real deal breaker for me are those fox suspension and of course who can deny it's staggering looks. Parang diko kayang i daily drive don ung raptor grabe terrain. I've been using a 2019 model ranger there for a year and i can say it's noticeably worn down.
Salamat chief for following the videos! 🙏 I totally understand your apprehension based on your used case. my honest take is, you may want to also consider other options if you're looking for a pick-up as a daily work horse. and when i mean other options - that also includes options outside ford. the reason i said that is that the raptor, as it has really been designed for off-roading - i see it more as a lifestyle truck. with it's staggering looks and fox suspension, manghihinayang ka na gamitin sya for "baragan" on a daily basis. on ur case as an engineer, there may even be some instances that ur truck would require a heavier payload, and the raptor has not been designed to do that. i see it more of an adventure truck. unless ok lng sayo na gamitin sya ng todo then eventually might require you to update the suspension to fit your daily terrain - its ok kaya lng not practical. you may want to consider other pickup trucks na ok lng sayo that it will take a daily beating on that terrain. fuel consumption i "suppose" is the same, it really depends on the usage. i hope this helps 😊
As you said there is a noticeable difference between the performance of the engine of the wildtrack 4x4 and the Raptor albeit they have the same engine which is the 2.0 bi turbo engine, how come there is no official statement to that effect by Ford Phils to support your claim.
As an owner myself I can confirm that his experience is same as mine (both have the next gen everest and ranger raptor-both 2.0L biturbo). There is no official statement because it’s still basically the same engine albeit just some performance improvement. The fact that they already market it as a performance offroad truck is enough to expect that they really tuned it for “performance”. Also, doing a bit of research, may nababasa ako na ang next gen raptor have anti lag technology. I can’t confirm if meron ang 2.0L biturbo pero you can google “ranger raptor anti lag” It’s possible that the everest and wildtrak is more tuned for comfort thus the slower throttle response and better fuel mileage. And since the ranger raptor is ford’s performance vehicle they tuned it to be as responsive as the engine can handle
@@ErnestMarvinEsteban Just read some articles from Australia. The anti-lag is for 3.0L V6 Petrol engine Raptor. Btw, if the 2.0 Bi turbo has anti-lag also, it is good.
@@King_Konst again can’t confirm pero kahit wala dama mo yung increased responsive. Feels like ford finally maximized the potential of the biturbo 2.0L.
from my experience chief, surprisingly, it's smooth. drives like an SUV and even a bit smoother maybe because of the fox suspension. i'd really recommend you a do a test drive before making any purchase
Almost the same the old version. You said responsive of causes that's brand-new it comes with the engine the same . Only Fox shock bit upgraded and interiors for in general not surprising
No. I have driven the previous raptor and the responsiveness and the transmission of that engine is underwhelming. On paper yes, it’s basically the same engine pero engineers have a way of improving it.
@@SneakyTechTravels if ever lng po at pagpapalain.. is it practical po kaya for this car to have... kasi OFW po ako... kaya baka bihira lng din magamit... and its a first Car if ever... 😊✌
I really like you're review. It's very informative and in lay-man's term. Anyways, can you put a canopy on this model like a UTE Master canopy just in case you want to load stuffs you don't want expose to sun, wind and rain?
I would never buy a Raptor with only 2.0 Litre engine. To me thats too small, with a turbo... it will give you problems in the future. Because small engine works harder than a bigger engine, and that is proven. If Ford release at least 3.0 in the Philippines i will buy one and upgrade my Ford Everest 3.2 Litre Diesel engine, and at the moment i heard some owners that they are already experiencing issues with the differential with their 2024 Raptor.
Ask ko lang paano ka na releasan ng unit sa day ng launching and also you still have no idea about the price at hindi mo rin alam kung magkakaroon ng ranger raftor sa pinas? Kc nag inquire ako last year sabi sa akin hindi xla nag aaccept ng order kc wala daw xlang idea sa price at kung darating sa pinas.
nakakuha ako ng unit chief 1-2 weeks AFTER the formal launching. during that formal launching, they announced the price. thus, i already have the idea on how much it was nung binili sya. Also, i had the idea that it was coming when i saw it displayed at the MIA show, but during that time, wala pa silang announcement about anything, naka displya lng ung raptor sa gilid pero hindi sya ung product highlight ng ford. That gave me the idea that it will be eventually released and all i need to do is to have patience and wait for the formal announcement. early this year, some dealers were already accepting reservations, ung iba last year pa KAHIT wala pang details kung kelan, i also made a reservation directly to the dealers. During the launch, ford requires to have everyone make the reservation ONLINE, kaya binawi ko ung pera ko sa dealership then I made the reservation online - as required by ford.
to add. may mga tao din na nakakuha during the launch itself (20 units) but i have no idea how and what was ford's basis in selecting kung sino first 20 ma yun. ang napamsin ko lng is that ung iba were sikat at kilalang owners ng mga offroad shops & garages.
Hanggan ngayon nahihirapan ako mag decide raptor ba or everest

Ang engine ng raptor is more responsive than the wild truck and other pick up trucks, kapag tinapakan mo ng more than halfway si raptor boom ang tulin nya iiwanan mo talaga sila 😂😂😂!
Then how come the other midsize trucks like the Strada, Navara, or D-max easily easily overtakes the Raptor at 180 kph but not the Wildtrak bi-turbo? Just wondering though.
I honestly think that it would. if ever kasi yan lang and pick-up na leaning towards performance na magiging available sa local market. fans of speeds or sports cars will love it. imagine a fast vehicle that can easily absorb the harsh roads of metro manila and when out of town can give you the same level of excitement you can get from an entry level sports car. Parang you won't be needing a Sunday car na for spirited driving kasi yan na yun eh. add mo na rin yang front diff locks, live fox suspensions. It's also gonna be the best overloading/offroading vehicle sa pinas that doesn't cost 4m-5m
Isa pa sir .. magagamit ba ang v6 dito? Saan? Sa edsa? Hahahaha. Maski nga long drive halos maeequalize lang kasi wala namang malalaking mahahabang highways dito katulad sa US at other countries.
@@victorfernandoguevarra5495 Exactly. Hahahaha
Well to be fair the v6 does sound better than the 2.0l especially since the next Gen raptor has different modes for the exhaust such as sport and Baja mode. A little bit of excitement while in traffic with good music is nice as you can Rev it whenever too. Plus whenever one does change the exhaust on these SUV and pick up it is either a hit or miss. So a solid engine configuration of a v6 is much more worth the exhaust system upgrade than the regular config of the diesels
You are reviewing a pick-up, show it's purpose, load at least 500 kgs. In that manner, you will be doing justice to its intended use, Not only its new features. Running it unloaded is not convincing enough for me to buy it. Request the showroom or owner to have it loaded
Just buy and load the truck with its payload capacity then you will see. 😁 Then you can make a review. Or either visit a casa, do a test drive and put some load to it.
Hahaha it is what it is with any car brands and their following. I honestly enjoyed the driving of the Hilux conquest as a sporty type handling pick up but you notice that it isn't really comfortable in the long run. Especially as the passenger. You get thrown a lot. So I'm excited to drive this in the mountain bends/turns. Plus being a passenger on it will be its own experience
To be fair they didn't grow up to liking how an actual pick up is supposed to look like which is beefy, robust, menacing appearance and a big pressence on the road. Like with the SUV's so I get where they are coming from with the sleek and sporty designs too but sometimes they look odd too. Especially on the strada's, hilux and dmax

Because on paper, both vehicles with a 2.0 Bi turbo engine have the same horse power.
@@joelvictorlicopa8723
Correct, possible they made a transmission better to Raptor, so that you’ll notice the power delivery.
I can’t confirm if meron ang 2.0L biturbo pero you can google “ranger raptor anti lag”
It’s possible that the everest and wildtrak is more tuned for comfort thus the slower throttle response and better fuel mileage.
Feels like ford finally maximized the potential of the biturbo 2.0L.
my experience chief is 9-11 kms per liter
How's the ride?
from my experience chief, surprisingly, it's smooth. drives like an SUV and even a bit smoother maybe because of the fox suspension. i'd really recommend you a do a test drive before making any purchase
Sir cguro mas maganda yu test on off road dahil yan yumg design..takbo ka nman sa highway..may gulay
I have done that sir and will create one episode hopefully soon for our findings
nice ride sir. hope to get mine soon.
thank you sir 🙏 don't worry, it's worth the wait
Great Review, May GOD be with you always and keep you safe all the time 😇 🙏 🙏 🙏 😇
thank you 🙏
Madali lng po ba mag change gear? Pag naka d kapo?
Can we see a Ranger Widltrak bi-turbo drag race vs Ranger Raptor? Or a 0 - 60 mph?
Ranger loved
How about the fuel Consumption Sir 1 is to 9 or 1 is to 10 per km.?
The same lang ba ang kanilang timbang at aerodynamics?
@@SneakyTechTravelssa highway ba to sir?
Almost the same the old version. You said responsive of causes that's brand-new it comes with the engine the same . Only Fox shock bit upgraded and interiors for in general not surprising
No. I have driven the previous raptor and the responsiveness and the transmission of that engine is underwhelming. On paper yes, it’s basically the same engine pero engineers have a way of improving it.
May be I haven't try the new one
Iba ang new engine bi turb. Ford detuned this biturbo.
Super Ganda idol
thank you sir 🙏
fuel consumption po?
between 9-11 kms per liter po so far 😊
you'll have your sir soon for sure 😊 thank you for watching 🙏
It’s a truck and not a car😂

Kakabili ko lang din raptor same color
congrats sir 🥂
How about fuel economy bro
hovering between 9-11 kms per liter chief
I really like you're review. It's very informative and in lay-man's term. Anyways, can you put a canopy on this model like a UTE Master canopy just in case you want to load stuffs you don't want expose to sun, wind and rain?
thank you sir 🙏 yes! absolutely, i was planning to install a canopy hopefully soon
Kelan dadalhin yan sa Elyu?! 🎉
BOTH KUNI MO EVEREET AND RAPTOR
dapat v6 talaga alldo bi turbo ok nalang
POV night drive naman, sir. Tia
cge, try ko ulit sir. I had shots kaso hirap ung camera dahil sa low light. i'll try to use another camera gear that's great on ultra low ligh 😊

Bi turbo waste of money , it’s the same engine in a wild trax in oz
Mas magnda magtagalog k nlng sir at kaya 5 minutes ang vlog review nyo😊
Dapat merong HUD!
pwede!
To test parakbuhin sa rough road not on highways...mukat mo
Cge boss, ihaharurot natin yan sa palayan at sa bundok
@@SneakyTechTravels ayos yan. Boss
i don’t think it will hit 10k units if they bring here V6 petrol.
makes sense chief 💯 plus the price tag might be too high that it can already be compared with more luxurious pickups or offroaders 😊
Eh may pambili ba kayo? Puro kayo reklamo wla naman kayo pang bili. Hahaha 😂
Isa pa sir .. magagamit ba ang v6 dito? Saan? Sa edsa? Hahahaha. Maski nga long drive halos maeequalize lang kasi wala namang malalaking mahahabang highways dito katulad sa US at other countries.
@@victorfernandoguevarra5495 Exactly.
Hahaha
Then you can make a review. Or either visit a casa, do a test drive and put some load to it.
I always enjoy an owner's review after a year using a car. Bad or good, meron ka pa rin makukuhang good info especially if you're shopping for one.
Lol😂
Appreciate the review. Wasn’t really appealing due to the bilingual language. Very confusing and a turn off. Suggest you do one of the other with Close Captions or make separate videos. Thank you
suggestion well noted. thank you for still watching 😊
