      💜 Thank you so much! That is exactly the way I feel when I am making a video 😊. I feel like all of you who watch are friends so I have a tendency to get off the art information and share other aspects of my life at times, plus I am just a talker who rambles on quite frequently lol. My husband says I can turn a 30 second story into a 30 minute novel 😂. Your support means the world to me! I appreciate it more than I can say! 💜💜

    By the way, I have enjoyed you and all your videos I have watched. Don't pay attention to those who are not kind. Just move on. They are not happy themselves. Like our Mothers' said "If you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything." Just think of all of us who appreciate you.

      Thank you so, so much for that comment! I have needed to be reminded just how many of you enjoy (or at least don't mind lol) the way I make my videos. It only takes a few snarky comments to really bring me down and second guess whether I should even bother sometimes. I just let things get to me too easily. I really appreciate your wonderful support! 🥰💜💜

    😘💕Hi, I’m so excited you are back, I’ve missed your tutorials and I love love love the way you present them. Your tutorials would not be the same without the way you have always done them. ‘Please’ don’t change the way you do things for the sake of a minority of wingers. If we went through life trying to please others we’d not be who we are as an individual and it’s about what makes us happy - I don’t doubt for one second you don’t know that. I hear the excitement in your voice presenting and I also hear the hint of sadness like today. I am excited and look forward to watching further tutorials just the way you have always done them. I admire today’s art, it’s inspired me to get back into my creations, I’m just not a green girl so I’ll go pink😁 yyyaaaa your back😘

      🥰 Well, you almost made me cry with that comment. I don't even know how to tell you how much your support has meant and continues to mean to me. I have always been overly sensitive to criticism and the hellacious year that 2020 was for us hasn't helped my frame of mind any. It has only taken a few mean spirited comments here and there to crush some of my enjoyment of sharing my videos. I know better than to let it get to me, but sometimes I just can't help it. I needed that reminder, even though I have said the same things to other people before lol. It's hard to practice what you preach sometimes lol. • @LorrieBrewer
      @LorrieBrewer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the compliment! It all depends on what type of painting I am doing as far as when I add the metallic. I like to add it before I move the inks so that I don't have to re-work the painting and possibly mess up an area that I really like by going back over it with the metallic. On one like in this video, it really wouldn't matter either way. Just play around with it both ways and see when you like it the best. There's really not much difference in the way it looks to me, it's just not wanting to mess up what I've already done lol. 💜😊

    Hi Lorrie, I am glad you are back!! I’m sorry I didn’t comment on your last video’s! 😳 It Has been a crazy last six months for me and my family (we bought another house and when we finally got the key of our new house and we could start painting and so, one by one my family got the Corona virus, speaking of bad timing 😕) So I’m sorry you didn’t get a comment from me.
    About the comments that you are talking to much, please don’t change who you are, because of other people! As I mentioned before, I could listen to you all day 😊 So please keep on talking like you used to! When people don’t love it, the can mute or stop wachting. Just stay who you are! ❤️

      Wow, you have have had your hands full for a while! I hope all in your family are back to full health now. Don't ever worry about whether or not you leave a comment! I always love reading what you have to say, but I don't want you to feel like you have to leave one. Lol Don't let watching or commenting on my videos become a job for you. I didn't do a whole lot of posting through the summer and fall during 2020 anyway. Major health problems with my hubby, a trip back to our old home to visit family, some health issues of my own, yuck. So far, things are looking up for 2021 though! I hope they are for you as well, and that you can settle in and enjoy your new home. Take care of yourself and much love to you! 💜💜😊

    This is more a work of art than a background. I have always thought of using my hair dryer, which also has a cool button. I am only half way thru the video and I love it. As for those who were snarky about your talking I have 2 things to say, when you kept flipping your paper from landscape to portrait I was rolling my eyes, so that is #1, #2 is that is what fast forward is for. Or mute, or watch it at 1.25 or 1.5 times the speed. That is actually kind of fun to do. Thank you for the video.

      Agreed! I find it funny how quick ppl are to criticize little things that are more a reflection of them than the person they take offense to... Ppl could just mute the audio or find someone else to watch... I would much rather her talk too much than not enough. Yrs ago there was a channel I had a hard time watching because the person talked fast and rambled a bit, but she had the info I wanted so I kept watching. I figured my reaction to her was my problem to work through not hers... Now I look forward to her vids and they are some of my favs to watch. After I got used to her style, it stopped being a problem for me.

      @@LorrieBrewer YW! You have a talent for alcohol ink and whispies and I appreciate your willingness to share your knowledge. Don't understand how one could say you talk too much when they are comming to you for your knowledge... Those who have a real desire and need will appreciate and be greatful for what ever they can gleen from you. Thus it would seem to me that those who criticize are likely entitled and perhaps should pay for classes so there is something of a contract / expectation to be upheld... Lorrie, I feel so comforted by your remarks and feelings towards the Pinata inks, as they are what I've been using since day one and honestly? (I think I have commented before feeling frustrated at myself) sometimes I lose faith and feel like I'm getting nowhere with the behaviour of these inks. But someone with your experience and knowledge from the ''doing'' of the work, with various inks including Ranger (I wish I could get them shipped here to Northern Ireland!!) being able to advise as you work with these on 'why' they need more alcohol, on how they behave the way they do - this info is honestly invaluable to me

      Thank you so much for that wonderful comment! Sharing with friends is exactly how I feel when I make my videos 😊. I do recommend 99% if you can get it, because you will have less problems with moisture beading on your paper. It will dry just as quickly though. You may need to put down just a little bit more alcohol at a time if yours isn't giving you time to work with it enough, or apply a little more as you are working an area before the original puddle dries completely. I have to do that frequently. Also, make sure you are using cool to lukewarm air (which is what mine blows on cool), not hot. I hope this helps you some! 💜💜

    Absolutely gorgeous, I don't mind watching a long video.. we are watching something come to life. I would like it though when you stop, turn it around/show us your thoughts on it.

    I purchased a Revlon hair dryer, but the cool setting blew warm. Did I get a lemon, or do they all blow a bit warm? Love your videos!!

      Thank you for the compliment! My dryer blows what I would call lukewarm on the cool setting. As long as yours isn't blowing hot enough to warp your paper, it should be fine. I think the fan motor may heat up the air just a touch as it blows through. If yours is hot enough to warp the paper on the cool setting, then there is probably something wrong with it. Hope this helps! 💜😊

      Thank you! This is one of those paintings that grew on me after I was done with it. Within a week or so after I did it, I decided that I really did like it after all. Lol I do that quite a bit. Once I can forget the picture I had in my head of what I wanted a painting to look like, I usually like that painting much more.

      @@LorrieBrewer Letting go of the picture in my head is such great advice. 😅. I get frustrated when it doesn’t come out like I wanted, but sometimes you gotta just let go, have faith, and trust the colors. Lol.

    Would a better approach be to add one color at a time to avoid over mixing?
