- Abstract alcohol ink art tutorial on 9"x12" Grafix opaque white craft plastic. I used Jaquard Pinata brass and Tim Holtz / Ranger ink colors stream, amethyst, and wild plum.

I loved this and the way you only used a little color, but kept the design moving by just adding more alcohol. Your wispy edges are wonderful.!

Thank you! That soft, wispy look at the edges is my favorite one. That look is what got me into alcohol inks to start with lol. As soon as I saw a similar painting, I knew I had to learn to do that lol.

Thank you so much! I really didn’t mean to be gone so long or to worry anyone. I actually did have Covid twice in the last year though lol. That’s part of not painting for some of the time. I didn’t even want to think about breathing alcohol fumes for a month or so after each time I had it. The rest of the time was just busy family stuff for the most part. I will do my best to keep up a regular routine with painting and videos now!

Hi Lorrie; I just found your channel and am enjoying your beautiful work! I'm trying to follow your advice but I've run into a problem. I tried using a hair dryer to dry the ink, but it was too hot. So I bought one which I thought you recommended by Revlon but discovered that it was also too powerful. I returned it and I think I bought the exact one you use in the videos. You mention that it should be set to "cool". But this Revlon dryer (looks identical to what you use) has "cool" but only on the high speed. In order to get it to the low speed, it only works on the hot setting. I'm very frustrated. Is it harmful or bad to blow the hot air on the drying ink? Or does it not matter that much? Thank you!
