    great video summary. I also love the Tuono. Had RS660 before and exchanged for Tuono. So many emotions and wonderful to drive 😍😍.
    now have 2x standard Tuono with my wife and I'm happy. For me it's the perfect bike. Enough power for touring, and so wonderful to drive. but you don't get so much technology for a low budget .
    For me one of the best bikes on the market 👍👍🚀🚀❤❤

      What are exactly the difference between the rs n tuono they look the same to me lol

    • @sebastian8294
      @sebastian8294 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ll.7927 The difference is the seating position and the handlebars. Frame and technology is identical.
      Due to the more comfortable upright seating position, and violence in the wide handlebars, the Tuono is also significantly more agile.
      The RS is much more stable and less emotions.
      my wife and I have much more driving fun with the Tuono. First we had RS and Tuono. Now we only have 2x Tuonos.
      Optics is of course a matter of taste. But in reality I find the Tuono nicer.

    Not mentioned I think is that this bike comes in at or just below 400 pounds wet. It's been a revelation to me, a very long time motorcyclist, how much pleasure there is in the handling of a lighter bike. I've a 701 SM as one of my rides and I've often taken out my son's KTM 390 Duke and both are a real hoot in cycling pleasure. My MT-10 is my overall favorite ride but the weight is noticeable even over that of a race replica of the same displacement. More than a month has past since your post and look how fuel costs have risen. Looking ahead with the direction the world is going in fossil fuel availability and therefore price, we're solidly going in the direction of lower displacement in the not too distant future for many of us with budgets and non-enthusiast wives. Every day and a half to two days I'm refilling my Yamaha tank with my calculated mpg at 26.5 to 29 mpg. I'm thinking the 660 would be hitting around a 50 mpg average. Imagine if in 2 to 5 years we are paying double in fuel costs.

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jonny, good to hear your thoughts and agree that the mid sized class would be a better option with such high fuel costs, I’m on the Aprilia V4 Tuono atm and boy does that thing eat fuel more than my MT10SP, I normally on the channel do 2 videos 1st being walk round spec, so the weight is here th-cam.com/video/Ci4peruI9II/w-d-xo.html

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Street triple is a 765cc so not comparable really. Way back we used to have a 600 class and a 750cc class. If I were to compare the tuono 660 to the triple 765 then the triumph wins hands down

      @@MOTOUK1 hi. Sure the ST has more capacity, but a large chunk of the decision to buy is based on what you get for your money. In many ways you get more bike for c.£10k with the ST. I wonder if how things would have worked out if the bikes you compared, said manufacturers had built them to be £10k bikes? More power, better suspension etc. Personally I would still prefer the 660 over the ST. Kind regards

    Interesting video on this bike but I was also interested in some of the comments and your replies. You can buy the non factory version new not secondhand under £8000. Most people would compare it with other naked bikes of a simaler price like the street triple not so much the same cc surely as they are in the same class. Naked middleweights. I personally prefer the standard red colours too. Also the standard bikes have had engine issues so not sure Aprilia reliability issues are a thing of the past.

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I guess most folk would buy the standard version and agree lots of second hand bargains to be had. Also to note I do class them different as triumph only make new now the street triple 765cc which is not A2 licence compliant where as the Tuono 660 standard is. In U.K. we seam to be shifting to way back where we had 600 class, 750 class and now we have 660cc class mid weight. Having ridden the Street Triple RS last year it’s way above the Tuono in every dimension

      I just read that the engine issues were on the earlier 2021 bikes. And they recalled all the bikes and put in new engines. All the motorcycles that had not been sold yet had engine replaced before selling. It was a connecting rod issue. So hopefully they have rectified the problem.
