’’Half the reefs worldwide are dying or have died. The cause: pollution and the changing climate with warmer seas!”
      David Attenborough
"AIthough extinction is a naturaI phenomenon, it occurs at a natural “background” rate of about one to five species per year. Scientists estimate we're now Iosing species at 1,000 to 10,000 times the background rate, with IiteraIIy dozens going extinct every day. lt could be a scary future indeed, with as many as 30 to 50 percent of all species possibly heading toward extinction by mid-century."

Coral bleaching happens when a reef gets hotter too fast. But in the Persian Gulf, there are species of coral adapted to hot, very salty water. It's a matter of time, and evolutionary pressure, but eventually the areas of bleached coral will be repopulated naturally. Or the process could even be helped along by transplanting suitable kinds into place (although that might not be the best thing to do).

@Piper LT what even prompted this response? this seems so out of context i find it hard to tell if Christians online are real people or just quote bots - there's so much good religious philosophy out there but honestly the Abrahamics are the most nonsensical; lowest tier of religious doctrine - practically every other system has at least clever arguments or metaphysical theories that are not so easily proven or disproven. from a western theological point of view isn't it hilarious that Islam (the great enemy of the "west") does the best job out of the three major Abrahamics with its theodicy. there's nothing to understand in KJV no fantastical philosophical insight, nothing.
try reading something like the bhagavad gita or even something like the book of five rings where things like not understanding it on your first go is actually a real thing.

35:00 incredible. We've got symbiotic relationships of our own, dogs and cats: it's now thought that they originally would have come into contact with us of their own accord by eating our scraps and pests. Dogs apparently would have been the grey wolves that split from the wild population by following people!
Amazing to think of completely different animals like the shrimp and Gobi fish cooperating as equals - it's like a cartoon comedy duo!
