After two years, and after everything that has happened, it's so surreal to see this. The numbers seem so small now, even tho it was huge at the time. I can't really even believe that for a time, dealing with the pandemic was the biggest thing to happen. Now it's almost an afterthought, even tho it's still very dangerous.
It' dangerous, but less dangerous than the beginnig. Omicron is a blessing compared to DELTA VARIANT. Unfortunaly, people with comorbidities are still in great danger, so we must protect them from this virus. Owerall, the end of this pandemic is in sight!
Rensy ;; In order for them to say to isolate and continue to do so in the house they have to have an entire staff of people feeding them and making sure they get what they need. It is not fair to expect an entire crew and staff of the show to put themselves and their families at risk for a handful of people.
@@joygernautm6641 you're right, I totally missed that point. The crew and staff member's safety should also be prioritized so yeah, they'll definitely be going home soon. Much better to stay with their families.
Imagine if they stop hearing from Big Brother and after a week of silence decide to get out of the house, to find the world completely wiped out. Thats a blumhouse type movie
They should have maybe also mentioned that, due to limited test kits, only those with severe symptoms are generally being tested. The number of infections is likely much higher. It seems minute when you say there are 971 confirmed cases in Canada when we have a population of 37 million.
Yea, there's likely millions infected worldwide now, and the deaths are higher than reported too. China, Iran, Italy and Spain, only count hospitalised tested patients who die, not those who die at home from the virus. The true death figures will be much higher also unfortunately
Yeah, I'm from Norway, and when the virus spead to our country, doctors were instructed to place a (very strict) disgnosis based on the symptoms. This diagnosis were only to be given when the doctor was entirely sure - if there was ANY doubt then the diagnosis should be abandoned. The government recently collected numbers from 40% of the country's doctors, and the result was 20.200 corona diagnoses. Keep in mind that these are only people with clear symptoms who actually contact their doctor, and the doctor was entirely sure in all of these cases. This would mean that there could be an estimated number of 50k unregistered cases only in Norway. For the record, we have around 3.5k confirmed cases, and a population of 5M, so these numbers are CRUSHING.
also they should mention that the EU has shut down it's extarnal and internal borders for the first time since its creation and in countries like italy and spain, doctors have to choose who will be treated because of the limited resources they've got
There isn't a point to test those that have mild symptoms. It would be a waste of resources as there isn't a need to confirm the illness when the treatment would be the same regardless of the results. In addition, somemeone with mild cases would have to leave their home and potentially infect others around them.

Think of the billions of dollars that were just wiped out for sports franchises as those decisions were made. Those were huge decisions and happened pretty quickly, and early in this outbreak. I would've thought those entities would've fought to stay open. I think they saw that long term losses would be worse if they didn't shut down quickly.
Wo kann man das Video ansehen?
Plot twist: only the ones that is going to be safe from the virus are the ones left in big brother 😱
Facts... But production isnt safe. Which is why they are shuting down.
Not really. They can get it from someone building the challenges or when they bring the food in.
It didn't work out for a fictional Big Brother cast in the miniseries Dead Set (2008)
Probably not considering they have to get their food and other items from the outside world and those could be contaminated by the people that bring those things into the house for them.
Andrew C they can wear gloves and sanitize everything though. The same way everyone else does. But it doesn’t matter. This season was garbage anyways. Good to pull the plug rather than let this train wreck continue 🤟🏻
You know what’s insane? They got this dumped on them, and went through news like this all at once, while we got it piece by piece. Hearing it like this makes me realize how far we’ve come and how much has happened.
Next update: no one has survived. You must repopulate the human species 🤣
April fools is coming 😅
You can't. That's not enough humans left to successfully do that because everyone with and up being related.
Get to fuckin
Bitch... Dont joke about that also thats funny
Hahahhaha haha:))))))
They should be aloud to stay there and isolate
yea that would be great if they could... *allowed
It would be sad as they aren't with their families but if it's the right protocol for this situation then they should be.
Rensy ;; In order for them to say to isolate and continue to do so in the house they have to have an entire staff of people feeding them and making sure they get what they need. It is not fair to expect an entire crew and staff of the show to put themselves and their families at risk for a handful of people.
allowed*
@@joygernautm6641 you're right, I totally missed that point. The crew and staff member's safety should also be prioritized so yeah, they'll definitely be going home soon. Much better to stay with their families.
Imagine if they stop hearing from Big Brother and after a week of silence decide to get out of the house, to find the world completely wiped out. Thats a blumhouse type movie
So u mean every horror movie? They own every movie i swear lol
There was a mini series with that exact premise (substituting COVID-19 with some type of zombie virus) that aired in 2008 called Dead Set.
Great Idea. I would love to watch a movie like that 😅
@@Befuddled_Ostrich nice, i am gonna watch it.
Walking dead all over
“We’re safer in here than out there” Wow that’s the heartbreaking reality💔
Watching them touch their face was definitely a reminder that life has changed out here
They should have maybe also mentioned that, due to limited test kits, only those with severe symptoms are generally being tested.
Maybe producers decided it was better to not scare them any more than they’ve already been scared by this.
Tell em the olympics are cancelled next.
They cancelled the rest of the season. Production is shutting down

Shit dudes!! it would be crazy finding out so much at once
Yeah it would. I mean the outside world has been getting little pieces of information each day for a couple of months now, but to find out all of this at once is a lot to handle. They didn't get acclimated to it. It was just dumped on them. That's a lot to handle. Especially when you are away from your loved ones and can't actually see them and talk to them directly.
Wait til they find out studios have gone black and actors and crew are being infected.

I respect the producers go out of there way to update the contestants about their families.
No diss on allison or julie. But they just give them a note whenever one appears.
Could you imagine getting evicted during this
Rn they passed a law in my country that forbids people to get evicted during the pandemic.
Miss Honey Never Came they’re talking about getting evicted off the show lol.

This is basically Dead Set. They are isolated on Big Brother while a virus is going about.
In my opinion, one of the best underated zombie tv show !
I was just thinking about that!
Duuudee I'd forgotten all about Dead Set 😂🙌
I’ve mentioned Dead Set to many people, a lot of them have never even heard of it and 2 people thought i completely made it up
Yes! That's the one I was thinking of!
“It’s scary to think that the world shut down for a bit” bruh it was almost 2 years 😂
The difference in those numbers. It's now 211 million cases and 4.4 million deaths.
We are all going thru this together, but man, their story is so unique.
And they would be so shocked to see new hunting skills of hoarding unecessary amount of toilet papers and important things.
Lɪʟ ᴄʜᴏᴘᴘᴀ Wow I need to see that.
Three years later.. on the 'tail end' of this whole experience - seeing these.. seeing people react to COVID and what all was happening for the first time again, really hits me hard.. it's almost as thought it reflects back to how I was reacting at the time, and knowing what all I know now - and what we were all about to go through - seeing these people in this moment forces me to grieve the last three years in a way that other things won't let me
I echo this 100%
Imagine if they continued the season... when being evicted not only they lose the game, but they also get exposed to risk their lifes due to the virus... now that would be an interesting game 👀 Lets see who actually wants to quit
Hahah no doubt. Security comes in to drag contestants out because they wont leave . Awesome
Lol then I'd watch!🥴😂
Kicked off contestants are kept isolated off camera until the show is done

This was 2 years ago now…I can’t believe it
They could seriously make a movie out of this. They’re all isolated inside the big brother house, get news of a unknown virus, gets updated daily until the camera stops working and there are no more updates from the production cause they all died. Then they try to break out of the house only to see that the world is in ruins, an apocalypse and everyone’s dead. Maybe something like the walking dead, I don’t know, but a movie like this I would watch lol.

The cast was already evacuated and sent home last week. The show is made in Ontario and the provincial government ordered all non-essential workplaces to shutdown which includes the production of Big Brother.

That one guy: soooo what about sports though??
I work at McDonalds, our main customers are military because we are close to a base entrance.
