Today, I take a very personal trip down memory lane.
In this episode, I remember my mom, who passed away this month, just a week and a half before her 86th birthday.
This video is for her and also for all of the viewers of this channel who asked about her and sent her prayers and well wishes over the last year and a half.

Just to think of everything they lived through and saw in those 85 years is fascinating. To think your mom raised 6 boys and worked as well - I am so impressed. I love that you both shared the same wanderlust for travel and exploring new places. That is a precious connection to your mom that you'll always have. We are all here for you. My comment is way down there in the comments but I go to the Salvation Army church and their is a big one in Middle River, Maryland and I go to another church as well just saying this to let you know you and mom will be put on their prayer list.
I am so sorry to hear about your looseing your mom. I still haven't seen the video here I have to stop crying in order to see it.
I lost my mom in 2010, so I know how it feels. But I really feel she's always with me because I keep her and my day in my heart. I picture her and dad in heaven with our Lord safe and happy. Still it takes time to try to get over the person no longer being with you body wise, now they are with us in sprite.
You need to take time off just for yourself and please know 'we' love and care about you. Nothing can replace a mother's love.
I would cry (when I was alone) and say ; " I want my mom.... (then I started to add) to be happy....
Silly it may sound but it helped me alot because then it wasn't all about me ...it was wanting my mom to be happy. I hope that doesn't sound silly but it did help me maybe it could help you too. My mom died in July/ 2010 and I'll always miss her but I know she is with the Lord.
Your mom is with the Lord, no longer sick, she's healthy and happy and she will always be with you in sprite. I believe that with all my heart. Sending you tons of love and good wishes and we will meet our loved ones again one day. 🤘👻💖

Your mom didn't have to say good bye to you she knew you loved her and she knew you would be okay so she left in peace...love john.
The mother is such a huge loss. I still think of my mother who passed in 1996 quite frequently. You were a wonderful son. And your remembrance of her was a perfect tribute. Sorry Steve 💜💜🙏🙏

My father passed away April 16 2016 at 84. Sorry for your loss Steve! Sounds like she had a great journey in this life.
I lost my mom 2 years ago. I was 20 min late to the nursing home . She was 80. Im so sorry for your loss. God bless!
I am so sorry for your loss
I had a similar experience with my mom’s passing. She made 87 and 1 day. The shuttle driver dropped off other passengers and I ended up being 45 minutes late. Since I am a nurse, I helped the staff clean her up and prepare her to go to the funeral home. Losing a mom is hard, no matter how old you are. My condolences to you as well.

I realize there is little anyone can really say at these times, but I certainly appreciated the fine tribute to her, getting to see your siblings, and the various photos from her life. This year marks 25 years since I lost my own mother after she had been ill for a number of years, sadly. It is my sincere hope that you, and your family, are comforted somewhat by the nice comments I am sure you will receive from those who follow your channel here.

My sincere condolences to you. I lost my 92 yo mother on April 2 of this year. We all know the end is coming, but it is still a shock when it happens. My mother suffered from dementia the last 3 years . You and your family are in my prayers.
I have happiness knowing my mother is now in heaven, safe in the arms of Jesus and no longer suffering.
That was a beautiful tribute to your mom. I’m deeply sorry for your great loss. I lost my mom back in December 2020 and she had advanced dementia and it was heart breaking to watch her slowly dying each day. I had a caregiver that came everyday to my home and trust me hospice was great with her. They made sure she was comfortable and directed my husband and I how to care for her. It so sad how dementia is so heartbreaking to watch your parent dissolve right in front of you. We have to say they are in no more pain and they are in a better place. God Bless to you and your family. Your mom is watching over you.

So sorry, Steve. It's hard to lose your parents no matter how old you are. I lost my dad in January also after a long illness. He was 89. Miss both of my Mom and Dad so much.
My condolences to you also..My mom has been gone for 18 years now, I still miss her..
My Grandma died in 2020 qt 93 of natural causes. 3 years but it still hurts.

Your mom is now at peace and I'm sure she is enjoying her reunion with everyone who had passed before her. What a beautiful tribute for your mother. My mom passed in 2013 at 74 of lung cancer. I miss her every day still. The pain of losing them subsides, but the pain of missing them never seems to go away. RIP to your mom and mine.

Your mother was born the same year as my grandfather. He passed away in 2020 from cancer at age 85. He spent the last 3 days of his life in hospice care. RIP to your mother.

I’m so sorry for your loss, Steve. I took care of my dad in hospice, left him with a caregiver to go for a few minutes for a break, and he passed when I was gone. It’s hard to grapple with not being there, but I think from what I have heard and read, those who are suffering need to make the transition on their own. Your mom was a true beauty! Sitting here, watching your video, and crying - not only for your loss, Steve, but thinking of my own Mother, who was in hospice care and died three years ago. As lucky as you were to have her as your Mother, she is equally lucky to have you as her son.

My mom died a little over a year ago. We are thankful for hospice. You are in our prayers and thoughts. She and your dad raised a caring person and you are proof that good exist. God bless and God speed. 🙏🙏

Steve I have followed a somewhat similar path having lost three close family members, including my dad to Alzheimer's.
It's very difficult as loved ones to see our parents slip away from us to a point where they no longer recognize us as their children.

My mom passed away on December 30 2020 and I can feel your pain that you are going through! My mom was 72. I couldn't even get to go to her memorial because of covid restrictions on travel in Canada

My mom wanted to stay a brunette all the way to the end. No silver looks for her. It has been said that if one person sheds one tear at your passing then you lived a good life. It looks like she had a great one.

Wonderful tribute to your mother Steve! My mom was also born in 1935 and fortunately is still with us and doing pretty well. Dad was born in 32 and is still going strong. Thank you for the reminder that life is precious and we need to be thankful for those of us that still have our parents getting around.
