Probably they do what happend to warcy boxes. They will let maybe like a 50% price Increase but double the model count. Fine with me
On that picture gallery most units are called by their AoS names, like 'Freeguild General', but the Wildwood Rangers, Araloth and Sisters of Avelorn are called by their Fantasy Battles names, isn't that curious?
Half of them are sadly already sold out
All I want is a reprint of the origonal look to models and sizes and bases from 6th and 7th edition mostly. And maybe 8th units to play 9th edition. And than I'd be happy.
I started collecting in 1994, and I never finished before it all changed. Like, I don't even want to order the current AoS Necromancer. I want the old look from 6th edition or so.
i just started an empire force too. Might need to get some extra models...
I think that's the last of the Wood Elf models that were available, and they're supposed to be ine of the factions for TOW. Good thing I've got mine!

With some luck, they will return repackaged in boxes twice the size (like the Heresy marines)

It does make me wonder how long GW will keep old fantasy kits in the Slaves to Darkness range. It does seem odd that they're removing dozens of Warhammer Fantasy kits, then keeping others in the range. Especially when they've been very keen to market AoS as "not Warhammer Fantasy".
GW has been updating that range, it isn't leaving AoS.

If the old world figures r going to be twenty in a box or stay at ten .he looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. Then I said if you sell them for £39 a box you must be joking then I left lol
Have GW states how they will do troops and hero rank ups? Hero’s on 32mm and troops on 25mm wouldn’t work ranked up, or would it?

i hope warhammer OW is not a you go i go system with teh needless complex stats.... learn from a game like asoiaf tmg..... simple stats and more dynamic turn system
Note this year has been marked by a massive rip-off of Warhammer games:
- The Cities of Sigmar lost their elf and many other models.
- The Space Marines have lost a lot of classic sets.
- Most of Heresy models are banned for Warhammer 40,000.
Thus, the "old world" and "horse heresy" deserve respect and attention?
My answer: NO, they parasitize. Literally Games Workshop did everything to hate them and these newfangled crafts even more!

Wait? They’re removing models from AOS which is canonically set in future from TOW…why would that make any lore sense for models to disappear from the AOS range?

I don't like the cities of sigmar faction, it's just messy. I say get rid of it all.
I really hope that they will bother to make new models for the old world instead of recycling the cities of sigmar stuff which was already from fantasy
my guess is launch box will be all new models but the rest will be returning old kits. from there, new plastic releases are probably going to be fairly far apart, maybe only in expansions, with forgeworld drip feeding characters and odd units as they like to do
Sorry but them removing these has nothing to do with The Old World coming soon. They are adding a ton of Cities of Sigmar models that were designed for AOS from the ground up. The models they are removing are just the nicest of the old fantasy models they just slapped into Cities of Sigmar to sell you something when the army didnt have its own range.
I am sure they will come back for The Old World but we have no idea of the timing and people are just projecting their hope about this.
You might be right, I am not saying it with certainty. I do call it a bit of a stretch but as I said, I can't see GW leading us on for much longer now we are seeing minis etc
It’s also Old World. They said in the article these models will be returning as part of the OW. I said a month ago on Facebook and someone acted like I was stupid but they’ve been saying that was the plan the entire time. I expect to see the mercenaries return to from the old Mordheim range that was integrated into the empire too.
