Thank you! Appreciate the sheer simplicity in pointing out the focus on pairs alone which then helped me understand the mechanics around that and how you can still sneak wins. Quite a fun little mini game and did get distracted playing it for a while.
Since the game sounds like it will be mandatory later in the game I’m motivated to try and learn it, but right now, even watching this helpful video, it seems incredibly complicated. Hope it makes more sense when I actually get my hands on the game. I’m generally not a fan of minigames anyway, prefer if they are optional.
Great guide to start off. I usually avoid these card type minigames but this looks pretty fun and not overwhelming. I’ll dive into the more advanced techniques later on but this will get my feet wet. Great job 🎉

This game is fun to the point I’m looking up where to buy a card deck IRL, could be a fun game night 😂 simple to learn, good amount of risk & strategy, and not overly long & drawn out!
I use Cook the Books, Exhausted and Tax 2 to target player Shift Tokens and then cheat like hell. I use Nix usually turn 2 and decide if I want to use cook the books. I use my magnetic dice with a joker card so I can either draw a really high card or really low card. Either turn 2 or 3 I'll make someone discard their hand maybe also in an attempt to make them draw and spend chips. I like to Cook the books turn 2 if I am trying to bait people into spending chips or turn 3 when it's too late. Usually I use my Tax 2 shift token turn 1 or 2 and I target the person with the most chips or the best hand. If i know I'm going to win i might draw if there's something in the discard pile that bothers me. And I double draw all the time, holding onto a joker for a later round. The key focus at least for me making sure I have more shift tokens than most of the other players and maintain chip advantage by cheating my way to win every hand
Can't believe how simple this game actually is. I saw the tutorial, panicked, lost my first game and haven't touched this minigame until now. That tutorial was horrendously confusing
Yes me too, so i came here and i'm still none the wiser. Add in the cheating stuff, (which of course springs a timed mini game on you as you play) assuming what cards are left and the 'luck' aspect and i find no fun to be had at all. Then you play for Lando late in the game where the entire thing is a no-lose scenario and my confusion grew even more.
I just don’t get it, I know I am supposed the have a pair and the lowest numbers but it doesn’t let me change the cards I want to change. Not to mention my cards don’t show numbers just signs, it makes no sense.
You always need to have one yellow and one red, so if you want to switch a red 6 you need to draw from the red pile and there two cards that don't have numbers on them but they're pretty complicated
so i am having an issue on the Kajimi planet, and i keep losing to higher cards, like I had a sabacc 3's and lost to a Sabacc 4 and another with a sabac 5?? am i having a stroke or am i missing something?
@@madmaxforthewin6205 There is a token that can be played that reverses the value of Sebaccs, making 6 the highest and 1 the worst. Pay close attention on your opponents turns and see if they play it
@@GamersHeroesthank the lord you answered this for me!! I was sitting there losing my mind because I had a pair of 1’s and I lost I was like… HUH?! Lmao
Dang, I almost quit sabacc missions because i never even won a single match to random npcs, and this video helped me win against Quint, Lando and Bosnok, thanks bro it really was easier than I thought but doesnt mean sabacc is simple
You roll the dice, and then pick which number suits you best. Which is only useful if you roll the same as the lowest card in your hand. I had a 1 and an imposter, rolled a 5 and a 1, so I was able to take the 1 and make sabbac.
There is some random thing you should have noticed about the other players hands and you probably didn't read the rules, because it all couldn't be simpler!
The game cheats you later on the story. Tell me why everytime i make the cpu switch cards on the 3rd round having a 1 to 1 sabba, still get away with the win EVERYTIME! so dumb
@@MonkeyMoo-m1h Cheating can be activated at the start of your turn. Pressing and holding up on the dpad will send Nix to the player on your left who is still in the game. It will prompt a timing input for you to press Y (or Triangle) at the right moment. If successful, you’ll be able to see the cards your opponent has. If you get caught, it will raise the suspicion of your opponents and could risk getting you banned from the table. Honestly, I haven’t found cheating with Nix super helpful. Most of the games I’ve played have been one 3-Round play, very rarely has it come down to 2 players left.
@@GamersHeroes you are absolutely correct. I realize my comment really only applies to that first beginning table. Now that I’m playing higher stakes it’s super helpful. Also, to clarify where I got it wrong, if you successfully time the input, Nix will proceed to your next opponent. So you can see every opponents cards if you succeed
Welp, so far I'm no closer to getting it... It'd help if the guy trying to explain it didn't sound like someone out of Peaky Blinders, I feel like I'm missing every other word...
Both Sylops is a Pure Hand its the best not a Sylop 1
Ah, you are correct. Apologies, forgot about that one
Got that in my second hand of sabacc actually!

The only thing this shares with poker, is pairs and 2 card hands. Poker is actually much more than sabacc

The tutorial in game is quite weird but as a poker player, I understood immediately once you laid it out.

I actually bought bought a sabaac card deck in galaxy's edge Disneyland California, so i already knew how to play. Fun game
Wait it’s real? lol my wife and me been saying I hope they make this real so we can play together 😂😂
I played at school, we gambled random objects one time I got a Pokemon card
So you came to a sabaac tutorial video just to share that. Interesting.

Pure Sabacc is the best hand you can have.
Unless there is an arbitrary moment where someone cheats or have a purely pure sabbac while standing on their head.
