Best review I’ve seen yet on the GT. Well done!
Nice choice Ed. Enjoy. Looking forward to the review video. Agreed fully EVs have their place for the right reasons and use cases with home charging. (Combined with a fun ICE car for weekends 😃).
It’s the only way at the moment unfortunately. It wouldn’t work as a single car garage but to compliment a multi one is really quite enjoyable. Ed
Great video. That an interesting perspective, makes a lot of sense on salary sacrifice schemes. I do 160 miles a day commute and use a mix of Jaguar XF diesel and Maserati Quattroporte diesel. Both cost me considerably more on depreciation and running costs than you are paying. And on top of that I spend £30+ per day on diesel. The challenge will be to find a lease agreement that accommodates 40k miles per year at a sensible price.
I’ve found it was the running costs that swung it for us. 160 miles a day is completely on target with an EV. My money would be on a pre April 2016 Tesla Model S with free superchargers still intact. That would cut your daily costs to ZERO. It’s already depreciated and a good one is about to£25k. Food for thought. Ed
Very rational for a person who can do a rational management of the emotional part.
Spotless.
It doesn't work with my personal conditions, not only because of my particular emotional management system, but also - if not mainly - because of those conditions.
Your case is absolutely convincing, Ed.
I'm sure that everything is going to be as expected.
Alfa is still there for the needed extras...
Personal circumstances differ wildly. As I said we’ve other cars that cover other facets of motoring. Ed
Beautiful
Another great video Ed, I noticed that you mentioned you and your wife operate out of London Heathrow. Is she a pilot too?
She’s well grounded. 👍
Excellent video, you should do more EV videos.
Thanks, will do! Ed
Nice
Very nice :)
Thank you very much! Ed
You got an awesome garage!
Thank you! Ed
Very informative video Ed, logical approach and a great way to commute. Will, you buy the car at the end of the lease? Just wondered as if I knew I was keeping a car for just the lease period, I'd not be bothered about keeping the battery below 80% as battery degradation becomes someone else's issue after the lease.
That’s the plan but I’d look after the car in the best way that I could for any prospective new owner. The contract says ‘market value’. It very much depends on what they mean by that as no price has been agreed so far. It’s not the perfect spec for us but I’ll cover that in a future video on the car. Ed
