Great video! I wish I understood this when I started a year ago. Though, my process became easier with better paint and paper, it didn’t make me necessarily better. In fact, I ended up buying lower quality materials afterwards for me improve on instead.
Thank you Shamar Daniel! And yes better materials do help you but there’s always space and time to use the inexpensive materials to grow your skills. I still use my student grade paints and paper for small studies and learning about colors but then I whip out the fancy paints when I’m working on more finished pieces and commissions.
