    Hello,
Thanks for this detailed information. I’m finally traveling back to Vancouver along with my infant daughter. I’m really really nervous and paranoid about the whole travel experience. Please clarify a few points for me:
    1. Thankfully, I’ve booked a business class ticket for myself in which my daughter is on my lap since she’s an infant. Do you have any idea if there are any special services for the passenger of business class?
    2. You said in the video that there were no blankets provided...were there pillows provided? Any idea about business class?
    3. All the declaration forms and under taking forms were provided outside when you were lined up outside the gate? Are non accompanying family members allowed to stand with you during that time since my husband (who isn’t traveling with us) can help me fill out those forms while i take care of our daughter.
    4. Can you explain what exactly happens as u enter the main door to the airport? All checked in baggages go under Uv rays? And then do we have to carry them to the check in counters? I will definitely need a porter to do that since I can’t multi task much by myself because of my baby.
    5. You said that water and hot water (which will be extremely important to me because of my baby) are limited on the flight. I called air India to ask about that and the agent ( who was mainly in a hurry to keep the phone down) said there is plenty available in flight. I would love to carry my own supply of water but the only problem is that since I have to keep my hand free and available for my baby..I’m only carrying a diaper bag which will hang on my shoulder and a cross body purse to keep my documentation in...so that makes it really challenging for me to carry extra stuff. Any tips for me on that part? I’m not carrying her stroller because I have to fold and unfold it a lot during security scan and it will be really tough for me to do that by myself while carrying my baby.
    5. You mentioned that the entertainment systems were not working however was there any screen to show the status of the journey..like how long since we reach and how far we have come and all that...like a flight tracker?
    6. Is it worth eating the food that they provide in those packages? Since I won’t be able to carry food for myself..I’ll kind of have to rely on their food or stay hungry.
    7. How many times did they check body temperatures? And is it true that they won’t let those people board the plane with slightly high body temperature?
I must say that I’m extremely nervous with traveling alone with my infant...but I have no choice!

Hi Delna..I understand the anxiety of travelling alone with a baby but according to our experience, I think it will be all good.
      1) I couldnt see any other special services for business class travellers other than the usual first preference in boarding and deboarding the flight. I am not sure about the rest.
      2) There were no pillows or blankets provided because I dont think they would be the safest choice during these times.
      3) Yes, your husband can help you fill out the forms and you can then request airport staff members to allow you move forward you in que as you are travelling alone with infant. They are usually quite helpful.
      4) Yes we have to put all the luggage on the UV scan machine and collect them on our own and then take them in to luggage check- in counter but porters are available if you need assistance.
5)flight tracker is sadly not available so you cant know about the status of the journey
      6) the dried packaged food like chips and peanuts and everything is fine but i did not find the roll and samosa etc good for eating. You can carry some prepared food for you because I think it will not be easy for you otherwise. It ll be almost 20 hrs before you reach home.
      7) they checked fever once in India and once in Canada. They dont allow anyone with fever.
Dont panic. Its difficult but with a little prep its not that bad. Have a safe trip😊

My parents are going to travel in this month to Canada from Ahmedabad to Toronto. I was confused regarding baggage allowance as in the ticket it is mentioned that the flight from New Delhi to Toronto might be operated by Air Canada. So when I referred to the Air Canada website, only one checked baggage is allowed for 23 kg per person. Can you please guide that what can be done in this situation to avoid any confusion.

    2. What are the formalities that needs to be done at the Toronto airport? I have my plan for quarantine ready with booking details of AirBnB which is an entire basement place. Do they make you fill in all the details in the ArriveCan app for some token and stuff?
