The community needs to grow up, and while there is certainly something to say about the several missed promises, at the end of the day game development is a grueling process and it takes a toll on people. The community should seriously consider getting a collective life, and you should do some things you enjoy doing for yourself for a bit until you're ready to get back at it.

You have been incredible to the community keth, i met so many great people, starscape have been my best time i've had during my 10 years of playing video games. the ingame wars, the allies, and enemies i made throughout the whole game were amazing. its safe to say that you can take a breather now.
Altough i can't deny that the community is dying i think it will be revived when the next update drops and i assume that with 2 new coders the develpment will also go quicker and therefor i think that the community will stay alive and start to grow again and uhm well starscape will always have a place in my heart dead or alive

As a member of the starscapes community I have to say a response is nice to see. The community is toxic and not willing to open to new players and factions that try to nurture new players are at the brink of extinction in game. Also note all problems do not come from one source it comes from several. It isn’t the devs fault for the toxicity.
14:09, this is a very simple fix, after every major update, create a backup of the source code, so that even if a developer decides to pull a "funny", you dont lose anything because you have the backup.

not your fault, there were just some questionable things done by some questionable staff members that really stirred the community years ago. you had an admin leading a faction that exploited a bug with drone fleets allowing x-blueprints etc to be farmed VERY quickly, and another tearing apart one of the largest factions. extremely toxic behind-the-scenes, as well.
the difference between you and other devs and why you update so slowly is because you have a life and a good non-ptw game that is not enough monetarily to live
