Another good video from you. I see the struggle to choose from a lots of dishes at the restaurant. Hahahahaha... It's the same with us local people as well. So many dishes... What to choose, everything looks nice. Then the barber, well i guess you have found a very good place to cut your hair later in the future. Thank you for promoting these kedai.. surely their business will be booming later. Thanks to your videos, they have the exposure. Looking foward to your next video.

3:50 the boss says thats "limpa" and not daging. I think limpa in english is spleen. I think he's afraid you cannot eat limpa, as not many non local eat it
Hi Jimmy, I got an idea for you. You can make a series of "Jalan Jalan Cari Makan" by going to every single LRT, MRT, Monorail train station and find the best food that you can find at that area. Can also encourage people/visitor to do the same thing too :) easy with train, rather than going to a place that far (those can be different series). You might able to visit alot station one shot :)
First - u took a spleen rendang, so the boss changed it to beef rendang because not many people can eat it Second - the price was out of mind, RM 10 for spice fried chicken + begedil + egg plant + beef rendang + fried tempe + green sambal... damn cheap especially in kL area Third - next time when u wanna do haircut, ask for "mata 1" or "blade no 1" instead of "mata 0" or "blade no 0". If u ask "mata 0", the scalp must be clearly visible but if u ask for "mata 1/blade no 1" it will be just nice lol... Forth - damn good head massage, u really love it and i'm envy u jimmy... RM 13 also so cheap for hair cut and head massage... u r damn lucky jimmy 😅
Jimmy you were doing great & blend in well! It was indeed a challenging job to decide which to choose among so many tempting dishes. Good job❤👍 I was shocked with d RM10/- charge😮😮😮 d boss certainly give u a good discount
How many tourists come to eat at places like this, but nice to see Jimmi being open to try things he knows very little about. Have fun Jimmi, many things to eat still and I lived for 33 years and I still haven't eaten most things.
Another tourist that eats at local kampong restaurants everyday is an elderly youtuber couple from Sweden at their channel 'DanAnna'. They really go for local foods complete with green ulams and sambals and petais at small local shops by the roadside. Its just fun to watch them comfortably interacting with Malaysian people.
You should go to Pantai Dalam on Sunday...there is Pasar Pagi Kelantan up until 11.00 am...so many foods brought all the way from Kelantan...or try Kelantan food at Restoran Anis Puteri...
The neck-cracking part, you naiked and survived it Jimmy. Bravo!..I so envy the price you get at the barber. RM13 is totally reasonable at the current rate of KL living cost. Loving your solo journey and looking fwd for more.
Haha...yeah some barbers are very skillful and adept in what they do; truly deserve extra tipping (thanks for being so thoughtful, as always). Glad you enjoyed it. Fade cut huh? (chuckling..) and Nasi Padang with so many spicyness and umamis for just 10? Yea, the boss likes you vlogging the place, for sure ;) Another jalan2...haha, kudos!
Begedil is what you had, it is potato cutlet, l like it too especially as a replacement meal or afternoon tea. RM10 for all those, you are not given a discount, you are their favourite youtuber must be! 😊

What you took at first was "limpa" not daging. I already saw that you took limpa and was scared that you might feels weird about it but thank God the seller noticed it too and helped change it to beef or "daging" hahahahaha
Congrats for finding one of the not so hidden gems in KL. :) it is cheap to eat there jimmy, the shop owner and his family is friendly. plus the food is delicious.
Jimmy, at 8:45 it is begedil, it’s made of mashed potatoes, chicken or beef, celery, some spices, eggs and fried till brown. It is nice if you eat little by little together with the rice.
I enjoyed the clip of your haircut and wow, 13RM is really great for a full salon service. Thanks for the video!!! The makan part was obviously good too, no need to say hehehe
Thanks Jimmy for taking us to eat nasi padang. So many variety of dishes. You ate so yummy. I have not tasted it, but I will going to eat it after seeing your video. Good adventure !
7:28 “This is alot….” Jimmy has a good appetite and extremely adventurous for trying the petai. 😂 Firdaus has really given him a short back and sides haircut 👍🏼
Bergedil is just potato. They either fried the potato then mash it up mixed with coriander pepper salt then shape it up n before u fried it dip it into egg mixture
should have taken the gulai tunjang jimmy san! omg i'm salivating looking at it now but unfortunately i live overseas atm. really missing food back in my hometown 😢
Good! Keep up with the exploration of cities and the surrounding areas. Walk and travel around the areas which others have not been to. Btw, Nasi Padang originate from Indonesia, you have found One in KL. Boleh tahan juga. And thanks for introducing us Firdaus, "Barber shop". Local hair saloon and free head, neck message. Unique 😅
Jimmy, it's great that you bring all these great eats for us to share and talk about... But please don't forget the health of your stomach. If you can, at least take a 2 wks break or something from eating all these heavy food you've been having, and going back to the Japanese diet like miso, tofu etc. You've mentioned offhand a few times before and also were told that you have stomach issues? Just take care of yourself. You won't appreciate a healthy functioning stomach until you temporarily don't have it. 🙏🙏🙏
Interesting about the barber shops. In Malaysia, in general, there are two types of barber shop, especially in the malls - the Chinese "hipster" type shops where you have to pay at a machine and take a ticket (sort of like Japanese ramen restaurants 😂), and Indian barber shops, where the barbers all come from India on work visas. The latter is endangered.. the government is going to stop issuing visas for barbers next year. Prices have been going up, a simple haircut is now RM20. I don't mind, they work hard, and I only get a haircut when I need it, when it gets too hot, and that's maybe once every two months.. 😂. This shop doesn't fall in either category, the barber seems to be local. Maybe it's more like this in smaller towns and rural areas.

The nasi padang boss did a good service. The barber did a good job. Aahhh so many nice people in Malaysia. I want to teach you something if you meet Malaysian people you can say "semua orang Malaysia sangat baik👍"
Just next to that barber you had your hair cut is another makan place, very nice setting and you may like it too,it is mainly makanan pantai timur ( kelantan and terengganu ). But I still prefer that nasi padang place .
I thought Im jealous with the foodies u ate, looks so yummy! Especially the Ayam Goreng berempah! But alamak your massage! More jealous! Wish I can have that service for my husband, he would enjoy it. :D
Nasi Padang is named after the city of Padang in western Sumatra, which is the home of the Minangkabau people. It's part of the Minangkabau cuisine. In Indonesia you will find Nasi Padang restaurants everywhere.. around Lake Toba if you want halal food Nasi Padang restaurants are where you find it. Lots of Minangkabau people live in Negeri Sembilan. Of all the Nasi Padang "lauk" my favorite is "tunjang", which is beef tendon. I like the limpa (beef pancreas) as well.
Incidentally.. do a search for "anak palinggam" - it's a song from Padang about an annual boat race. When I first heard it on the radio I was wondering why there was a song in Malay about "Pak Lingam's Baby".. 😂

hi jimmy, 2 points 1) the deep fry mashed potato ball is called bergedil, yup mashed potato, spices, usually chicken or beef bits... 2) the chef change the spleen that u took with actually beef meat part, me, I eat all part of beef, love the meat, marrow, lungs, spleen, heart, tongue, tail, sinew, stomach and even the hide. Just no brain, eyes or balls... no yet huhuhu
The uncle behind the counter looked out for you Jimmy San. That piece of cow spleen rendang would have ruined your lunch. Or maybe not? It’s an acquired taste - I can’t stand it. I’d imagine it’s preferred amongst the older folks and more adventurous eaters. Anyways - I’m enjoying these deep dives you’ve been taking into regular Malaysian life.
Tauhu Bergedil is mashed potato stuffed in fried tofu. We often eat it with 'sambal kicap' ( sweet soy sauce mixed with chopped green chili ). Maybe 'we are making tauhu bergedil' is gonna be ur next video ? 😂👍🏻 try it recommend
Minangkabau cuisine is all about saltiness and spicy. For us if our lunch have sweetness taste it really kills our appetite. Either its rendang or sambal or curry we never put sugar in the recipe, but we did put extra chilli for extra spicyness.
The rendang you took Jimmy is Rendang Limpa which is spleen and the taste is not preferred/favoured by most people.... So he changed it to beef
The pakcik very attentive as he noticed you took the wrong part of beef. It's the little kindness that represent us the Malaysian.
Malaysia Chinese not so much lol
Another good video from you. I see the struggle to choose from a lots of dishes at the restaurant. Hahahahaha... It's the same with us local people as well. So many dishes... Dear Jimmy, PERKEDEL is how Indonesian say it, but we Malaysians call it BERGEDEL. It's the south east version of CROQUET ✌️✌️✌️✌️
