Thank you so much for your video! You actually show where you’re going in the engine & what you were doing. I just changed out cylinder 4 & saved $500. I’m excited to change out one/month until I’m done with all 6. Thank you again!
I went to a auto garage and I was told that I had one ignition coil bad and needed to be replaced they wanted $400 to replace it, thinking that was ridiculous I went to TH-cam just to see how hard it was to change out I found your video you're going to save me a whole lot of money thank you so much again great job and showing how
Thank you so much! I'm a 50 yr old woman who just changed the #3 coil pack in 15 minutes with hand tools. My 18 yr old daughter learned the task as I did it too! Again, thank you! I used AC Delco ignition coil $95 out of pocket expense. Estimate from garage was $200. So I saved $100 doing it myself.
Good point about putting the engine under a load to check for other cylinders. At least the coils were easy to get to one this engine. "Faster and less injuries" cracked me up. Thanks for taking care of us DIY guys.
Took my 2003 GMC Envoy to Advance Auto Parts to figure out which coil pack was bad on mine. Cylinder 1. Bought the part, 20 minutes under the hood, problem solved! Thank you for your video, you saved me an expensive repair bill!!
Pueblo tires quoted me $768.42 for all 6 replacements ( $110 per coil) 2004 GMC Envoy. I bought Delphi ignition coils off amazon $286.00 and am now following along with your video. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your experience and skills. I have a 2009 GMC Acadia and it needs some ignition coil replacements, along with spark plugs. I was quoted a cost of over $420. I am now going to try to do it myself, with your video sitting right next to me. Again, thank you and God Bless!
Thank you for your channel. Best estimate I could get to replace an ignition coil was for $230 and of course they would have probably found something else "wrong" when they got under the hood. Watched this video and got the part for $70 and had it replaced in 10 minutes. Car is purring like a kitten!!!!
This is exactly what just happened with my 2002 Envoy!!! I like to look into what is going on with my car just in case other issues or the same issue comes up again. Very informative. Thank you.
Good video buddy. I’m balls deep into my 02 Envoy coil plug change too. 3 cyls with oil inside, changed plugs and now is real sluggish. Check engine light is blinking on me now. I’m going back in and seeing what I may have done wrong.
I found your video very helpful... Especially since my no. 1 ignition cool was the mis-firing as well... Never had to replace a cool like this before I'm used to the old skool distributer. Thank you Keep up the good work
Got an 04 envoy. Cylinder 6. Had water under the coil in the back. It was a pain the coil had oxidation on it and rust. Then last night when I went to break loose the bolt again. The bolt snapped off flush w the block, any help advice to get the broken bolt out, I have the coil just held down w a coat hanger till I can figure it out,
This might be a stupid question, but with it being my first time doing this. I got the 04 Envoy with the straight 6. I unscrewed the one for the coil pack. After I unscrew it then it doesn't come out and the coil pack will be loose to rotate left and right but I can't pull it off. So I tried to lift the bolt and hold it to see if it needed to be unscrewe it more then it felt like when a screw is cross threaded..so how do these come out
First time watching your videos, very informative, hoping you can help with problem 04 envoy xuv 5.3... Ran fine never a problem, stopped turned off maybe 5 minutes hasn't started since... Crank all day no start
I broke that fuel pressure regulator nipple right off of the air box. Can it be super glued or epoxied back on and what kind of issues should I expect in the meantime while running the vehicle with that hose disconnected? On the plus side, I replaced the ignition coil and fixed the misfire.
thank you so much. when i check the last three. it séem to be # 5 got dark on me .so next day started truck it ran afew mintues then quite now i have no pressure for my gas pedal reduced engine power light came on.Any idea's ?
I got a miss fire on coil #2 found out it has oil in the spark plug so I guess I have to replace the gasket valve cover too. Do these envoys have a PCV to replace as well? I heard PCV can be the cause of valve cover gasket failer. Any help will be greatly appreciated thank u :)
I have a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer LS. It will start fine and idle fine, then when I put it in drive(I park in an alley) and start moving I give it a little gas in the alley. Then when I get onto the road and give it gas it’s like it doesn’t want to move and the rpms drop when I hit the gas. After maybe 5-10 seconds of doing this it stops doing it and runs fine and accelerates fine. Any ideas?
I'm doing this myself tomorrow I have code p0306 which means misfired cylinder 6. My questions is how and what did you used to clean the cylinder? I'm guessing brake cleaner. Thank you for your video Definitely subscribing to your channel
Nery 'Juny' Ortega I went to auto zone and had them read the codes. In my case, it put out a cylinder 1 misfire. I replaced that coil and it was like new again.
My 2005 gmc envoy 110,000 had a missfire I bought 6new spark plugs started running a little better except the coils were bad so I went to go buy 2 coils as I was changing them with the car on the car turned off. Had to have the car towed and now it’s cranking but won’t start. Anybody have any idea?
Take. One out at a. Time. If the truck starts shaking more and you. Put back in and it go back to the way it was before you took out you no that coils working and if it doesn't you know it's bad
Thank you single mom here and I needed help

I broke that fuel pressure regulator nipple right off of the air box. Can it be super glued or epoxied back on and what kind of issues should I expect in the meantime while running the vehicle with that hose disconnected? On the plus side, I replaced the ignition coil and fixed the misfire.
Amazing video I actually watched the whole thing.. I never do that lol thanks bro 👍
I wish I'd have watched this before I took my car to a shop. A 6 pack of coils on Amazon is 60$ and the guy is charging me 200$ just to replace one.

That's exactly what is happening to my 2003 envoy. Were you successful? I'm doing my car today.
I replaced my spark plug on my o4 gmc envoy n had oil on it I'm gonna check the code on it mayb it's a bad coil as well thanks 4 the tip
It was just a bad spark plug now she runs like a champ
Perfect video God bless you
Did you use an expensive GM coil, or is there another good reliable coil that is cheaper?
How do i know which coil needs replacing?
Nery 'Juny' Ortega I went to auto zone and had them read the codes. In my case, it put out a cylinder 1 misfire. I replaced that coil and it was like new again.
Is it required/recommended to replace the plug, when the coil goes bad? Or keep all plugs on same change/rotation?
Great video man!
Good looking out brother, we'll made video and we'll explained thanks
Enjoyed this Leek. Marky mark
Had the oil-filled spark plug tube on my 2009 Sienna.....with the #1 (hardest to get to, of course) It damaged the ignition coil as well.
