Til this day, growing up listening to Mariah Carey, she is THE reason why I've grown to love my singing voice. I was a Bass singer and High school ..and hated that I had to put an intense amount of untrained effort to sing tenor. But MC made me appreciate my natural register! This was actually originally going to be the lead single but it was replaced by Emotions. The 4 upbeat tracks were co written and produced by David Cole and Robert Clivillés the duo behind C&C Music Factory. Mariah wrote One Sweet Day about David Cole. She was going for a 60 & 70s soul sound for the Emotions album. Emotions was based on Best Of My Love by The Emotions.
Other beautiful songs from that album "Till The End OF Time" and "The Wind". I also adore he song "Looking In" from the Fantasy album. Allegedly it´s her most personal. Gorgeous. BTW that Motorola guy managed not only to ruin her life, but also MJ´s - the only person MJ called "the devil" in the public.
