It's a song that was cut from the Music Box album but included as a B-side single on the Dreamlover single. It's one of her most beautifully haunting songs, in my opinion, which is completely different from anything she's done before, but her voice sounds ethereal. Her confidence level is cause this was a big comeback album for Mariah it was HUGE (Though her previous album Charmbracelet should’ve gotten more love). Emancipation of Mimi was one of the biggest albums of the decade.
I know the Lambily won’t agree with me. But this is in my top 10 best Mariah songs of all time. Great song from start to finish. Every element of it is just PERFECTION. It would have easily been her best #1 hit if We Belong Together didn’t block it from the #1 spot.
I'm a lamb too and i really think that Shake it Off is one of her best all time songs. Emancipation is such a good album.

Fact the album was sine but she needed that bounce track and she went back in the studio with jd wrote this hit . This stalled at #2 on the hot 100 she blocked herself from #1 with her other legendary #1 we belong together. She had the 1 and #2 spot on the hot 100 when this came out. I love how you hear the whistles in the background on the songs .
