    VERY IMPORTANT!! Use springs with your heavy bag like i show in my heavy bag video. If you dont, the bag WILL tear from the ceiling eventually

    I purchased both the medium th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfh2XUOHWYHKQYOvSq2gZ6PyCmVkTFGWz and small speed bags from Meister. I'm very glad I got both as the workout is quite different from the two. The small is fantastic for getting your speed built up once familiar with your striking. The medium bag provides a considerable amount more resistance building more strength in your punches. I highly recommend both sizes.Some people have expressed concern over the latex bladder leaking down more frequently than the traditional rubber. I have not found this to be an issue at all.

    I’m not liking all the weight on the single joist. Why not anchor into at least two ceiling beams to distribute the more evenly across the ceiling to prevent beam deflection?

    I know this is nit-picking a bit, but wouldn't it have been good practice to 1) use the same type of hooks/eye bolts for all the fittings 2) measure them out across the span so they're all the same distant apart from each other?

  • @aaroncatolico7550
    @aaroncatolico7550 ปีที่แล้ว

    The only thing I can think of with this setup, is if you have all of these hooks drilled into only 1 ceiling joist and try to hang a big 150lb - 200lb heavy bag, over time it will put too much stress on just 1 ceiling joist. I'd say it's probably better to create a mount that is attached to two ceiling joists so that the weight is evenly distributed between two separate joists in the ceiling.

    After research I chose this method. Just did this with 3, 3/8 eye screws with a 12 inch rod in my garage. Worked great. Thanks for the video!

    Can it ruin the finished ceiling and drywall next to it from vibration? I was thinking to put 150lbs heavy bag, is this too much? would the joist handle it with 4 screws in with the bar? Also, is hydroblast water bag in the basement bad idea? Could you put the link where you got your screws, bar, etc from?

    • @Tripledigit0922
      @Tripledigit0922 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bobby Digital I put it on the wall with 4 screws instead. 150lbs was too much for the wall to handle as it was dangerously wobbling so I sold this bag and got a head shot 55 lbs bag instead. Works great and best for technique and home use.

      Jezebel DeLeon he made the video 2 years ago drako98 asked a year later is it still the method he uses tisk tisk tisk ASSumptions. Try to understand people’s views through paraphrasing. If you speak down on someone question because you rush to speak before asking your own you’ll create so much unwanted tension in life. I know I ranted I just wish I could tell people everywhere this shit.

    • @FightAlex

      ww vidz I've never used less than 4 eyelets and a bolt to distribute the downward force, so hard to say. I wouldn't use less than 2 and definitely don't forget the springs. This mount is still in use and its been 10 years for me but use caution.
