    Great tip, thanks. Possibly not as good a solution, but what I do is I put some electrical tape around the hook so you don't have metal on metal.

      Johnny B, and that tape wears out in no time leaving again metal to metal!

      tape on some rubber foam, use till you hear metal on metal sound, then change foam.

    I would wind some rope or paracord around the top hook, perhaps one layer, just to pad the hook and prevent the metal on metal contact. When the rope wears thin, you can just replace the rope again. Very cheap and easy to inspect and remedy.

    If I use a chain swivel do I still need to use spring attach to it?

    • @PUNCHEQUIPMENT
      @PUNCHEQUIPMENT  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only if you think its required,
      If there isn't alot of vibration from your bracket,
      You should be safe without one :)

    How do you feel about springs?
    (Not to reduce metal on metal wear... obviously nothing changes adding in a bit of metal ... I mean as a completely unrelated question.)
    [EDIT: Fixed autocorrect error.]

      Spring will help with shock absorption on the bag holder, eg. a bracket or wooden beam etc.
      If they are strong & can hold the bag comfortably, you've got a great way to protect your wall/ceiling.

    Do I have to tie the part on the punching bag where the 4 metal parts are stitched for the chain or just the bracket and chain like you demonstrated in the video.

      Great question!
      We don't believe this is necessary as these 4 points evenly distribute the weight & don't sheer nearly as much as the top hook.
      With the being said you can absolutely place rope inbetween them if you like :)

    I’ve done this twice now, and both times, my bag has fallen down within two weeks...I’m using Paradies and following your instructions to the T....any ideas on what may be going wrong?

    • @PUNCHEQUIPMENT
      @PUNCHEQUIPMENT  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hey Stacey, if the bag were to fall we believe it would be due to the knots loosening, we would suggest trying alternative, tighter knots that would be more secure like half hitches etc.
      Hope this helps Stacey!

    Awesome information! Thank you! This may be a ridiculous question but where can I buy a 20 cent piece of rope from to get started?

    • @PUNCHEQUIPMENT
      @PUNCHEQUIPMENT  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, you can find the rope at a local warehouse store or possibly a supermarket.

    do you think a spring is needed for a 60-70 pound bag?

    • @PUNCHEQUIPMENT
      @PUNCHEQUIPMENT  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes & no mate, our team would recommend a good spring to take the stress of the bracket etc.
      Otherwise we don't see why a spring may be necessary.
      Just depends on your needs! :)

    please people learn some knot skills. In every video they do the ugliest,dumbest, stupidest excuses for a knot. then they cover it up with tape. if the knot fails that tapes ripping apart. the tapes pointless
