#sonos #bluetooth #headphones - วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี
They really missed an opportunity to differentiate themselves from other headphones when they decided to not add wifi streaming at home. Like, that's what you do Sonos! That would have been a game changer to be able to stream high res music over your network at home without be tethered to your phone. Keep all the bluetooth stuff while away from home and then connect to your network when you walk in the door, never have to take them off....big disappointment.
WiFi streaming really would’ve made them stand out as a Sonos product. Really a shame it’s missing that
Sonos won’t let him talk about the sound? What’s that about?!?! If they had phenomenal sound they would want these guys LEADING with that - preview unit or not.
Agreed. Completely bizarre that there is no wifi streaming
So it doesn't connect to the sonos eco system. I was waiting for these to come out so i can watch movies with them when i cant have my home theater blareing.
WiFi takes way too much battery power
Been looking to get a new pair of anc headphones, and these look promising. Looking forward to hearing how they sound. Hopefully they'll be on display somewhere.
Listening to this review on AirPod Max’s!
Gpt the white on preorder and am on a crazy rewatch of all videos I can find 😂...long week ahead. Hope they surprise is with early delivery
I might have to try this for the first time.
Are they also controlled by their great, fantastic brand new app full of features? Or are they more like something you can put on your head to cancel ambient sound or listen to the weather forecast, and will playing music or so come in an update later this year?
Are those headphone stands also made by Sonos?
Lack of wifi streaming support is such an absurd miss for a Sonos product...
That was what I was waiting for. I thought it would be good to be able to group with the ecosystem.
Will be coming to the ACE 2 HOLD TIGHT !
Hey, I’m new today Sonos market, I had Bose 700s for two years until I lost them, what is the listening to WiFi? Sounds like a big deal
Gotta clean the sensor/lens!
I want these 👍👍
Is there any way to turn off the anc completely?
The ONLY differentiator (and that is quickly going away) is their use of Snap Dragon Lossless - but... how many people have a mobile device (much less a home audio device) that supports it? basically a way over priced BT headphone - one of hundreds on the market.
Hey 👋
Apple: Here’s my homework, you can copy it but don’t make it noticeable.
Sonos:
Cui bono?
do they support multipoint?
Yes. Didn’t try it yet but Sonos says they do have multipoint.
The video literally says it does, watch the video you klutz
Too expensive for what's being offered. Maybe the indepth review will reveal more
Mate it’s $200 less than the AirPod maxes that limit you to lightning and don’t even include the cable to listen wired.
@@KDsburner-vg8vpit’s $100 less the max are $550 and usually even cheaper. I’d take Sonys or Bose over these. Only thing these got going for them is their design they are good looking cans
Total miss to not integrate better (outside of HT) local Sonos system. Just another set of headphones, I have had Sonos for years many products, but this feels like a 'meh'. For them to be an all day pair, also need Teams, Zoom etc. support.
Hey Michael 😊
looks good but saying its not focused on wifi streaming so those using spotify, apple music and others??
No reason to change from my Bose headphones because I don't need to listen to my TV via headphones.
...which you can still do with any other bluetooth headphone and any TV that is
Glad for you that are living on your own
I watch movies with my AirPods Max connected to Apple TV 4K and it’s superb. Try it.
CNET clean your sensors.
Is this limited to audio only from the Sonos App?
No. They work like any Bluetooth headphones
@@jamethogany good, I was hearing that they operate like the Sonos system which is just dumb
I'll be checking these out then
Nice but pricey
Too bad they nerfed the app for existing customers.
Wait, there's only a choice between Sonos headphones and Apple? No how does the Sonos headphones stack up to the real competitors?
I hope they support Sonos Amp at some point. I have an outdoor speaker setup in my backyard. These headphones would fit well in that ecosystem.
So it doesn’t connect to your Sonos network, so what’s the point?
Better looking headphones out there, cheaper ones and other providers that can make there app work.
I have a heap of Sonos gear so I would be a target customer.
But it’s a hard pass for me and honestly after the latest app update I’m thinking of ditching Sonos.
I've been looking forward to these since the rumors last year but will be a pass since it doesn't have wifi streaming and integrate with the rest of my sonos network.
Also been very dissapointed with sonos lately and hoping this will eventually be updated to work with wifi music, but looks like I'll just upgrade my Sony's for now
If you're planning on ditching, I'll take it off your hands.
There might be a work around. There is a wifi chip in the headphones that connects to the ARC to play TV.
I would assume you could stream your spotify or whatever to the ARC and then push the button to bypass it to your headphones.
If you have to use the app, create a sonos account, and share your location (like all the other products), sonos can shove their headphones…
100% agree. The Cloaked service is my new best friend. These jack offs, fill their EULAs with all this crap, enabling them to sell our data. They make more on the data they sell, than the products. Any EULA that mentions 'Third Party' as the Sonos EULA does can suck my you know what. These companies are just data harvesters.
App isn’t required
They will be fine without the app, it's only for people that want to unlock the 3d spatial audio from tidal or something. Most people don't care about that.
Give yourself another month or two for all the hype to settle down first before giving them a serious thought of purchasing Sonos Ace.
KARNOYYYYYYYYY !
Dolby-ATMOS requires the ARC or ARC SL soundbar (nearly a $1000 additional dollars) and the Sonos App. This is stated on the website, website states Beam Gen 1, Beam Gen 2, and Ray will eventually be supported. I own Sony XM4, XM5, and iPod Max. The only allure of this product is "Cinema Sound" but it can't even accomplish that without spending another $1,000 on supported speakers, plus using their app. Any product that requires an app to function, is janky. It's a product that makes no sense, it doesn't target iPod Max customer, Sony customer, Bose, or Sennheiser because to even get Dolby ATMOS requires another $1,000 for the supported Sonos speaker setup. And people who buy headphones, is usually for a reason, they live in an apartment or noisy area making traditional speaker system not an option!
The leak/rumored version is way better than this.
Too expensive for what's offered. There are much better options for this price point and cheaper
It’s for the CA elite who have “all” Sonos products. It’s purely branding. Apple vs Sonos. As an iPhone user for 18 years I say AirPods wb my choice. If I wanted to spend 500 (remember sales tax) My 129$ Senn and $80 Jbl on eats both work fine. Pass. The era 300 is great tho lol. I have that too.
On ear. Not ears lol.
These look really good but I think I’m going to stick with my AirPods Max until Apple comes out with a V2 which will probably be never.
Complete disappointment. Not a single feature that would differentiate them meaningfully from AirPods Max or Bose, no wifi for true lossless, doesn't integrate with an existing Sonos system, and handoff is dependent on your soundbar instead of having it be system-wide like with AppleTV and AirPods.
Sonos has dropped the ball in so many ways it's shocking.
My thoughts exactly. It's a product that makes no sense, because to get Dolby Atmos requires the ARC or ARC SL and possibly future support of BEAM Gen1, Gen 2, or Ray. Another $1000 bucks. And their stupid app, which requires the acceptance of their EULA which is filled with, "Third Party" this and "Third Party" that, spyware in my view.
Also, using the same 40mm drivers as many others, so no better sound at all.
They drop $$$ for Focal Bathys
No one seems to be talking about the audio quality which has me thinking that it’s no better than the competitors. And that would not make it worth the price tag.
We had very limited time with the headphones and Sonos didn’t allow us to do full reviews (they essentially gave us a preview of the product). Sonos is shipping out review units soon so I’ll be able to compare them to competitors once I get them.
Did you miss the first 30 secs of the video...? Its not a review
Too pricey, you better off getting the Sony ULT headphones for a less price.
One more over expensive product, better to settle for tried and tested wired headphones like DT 700 ProX or Sivga Oriole… they are much cheaper, better sounding and long lasting !!!!
440😢
Will you ppl please stop comparing everything to apple! Geezus! Xm5s and Bose are the top tier headphones....and you guys are comparing a pair of headphones with a toilet....why?
Dolby Atmos/spatial audio support for using them in place of a home theatre that’s why. I actually have an A95K so apparently you can get Atmos with XM5 but not the same as buying an Apple TV and using any TV. Best to know what you’re talking about next time. It’s also why many are so annoyed no WiFi option.
@@richarddcrossley that doesn't take away the fact they compare literally every tech to apple that's my gripe. Has nothing to do with what you're talking about. Be gone
@@AndrewSmith7 it's the nearest like for like product for home cinema use so of course they will. Especially as many Sonos users are also apple users because trueplay doesn't even work properly on android. Your blind hatred has made you lose any common sense.
good, except of the ugly logo on one of the ears
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Well, you could better say Sony MX5 competitor
$449 ?? Better priced at $350 at most lol.
No wifi streaming is such a miss.
So just one more "same as" looking pair of headphones in a (way) overcrowded mid-tier market. Someone line up all the competitors except AirPods Max and take a picture. Even Sennheiser caved to the flat, boring look. Nothing I've read suggests that people at the event who tested the audio quality were in any way blown away. I'm interested in the in-depth review, but fully expecting... go up market to the Focal Bathys at $699, or stick with the Sony WH's.
Why are headphones looking stupider and stupider? These are practically a helmet.
If the Bluetooth route keeps me from having to use their horrific app, I am down.
Bose copied 1000% by Apple, Sony, Sonos, the whole industry in every single product type related to audio...
Hey, I really like your profile and your posts, and if you let me, I would make such an amazing mural out of it! If you don’t mind one of your post could be my inspiring muse for an art project i’m working on for a client. You will totally get paid for it as well as a bonus also get credits.
Everyone copies everyone. Nothing new about that. My guess is that you aren’t going to buy these anyway so….there you go.
@@housepianist I own the bose qc700, Sony xm4, airpods pro, Jabra 65t, galaxy buds fe and skullcandy Dime 3. I do back up my opinions with product purchase/experience and would never comment on someone else's statement.
@@silveriojohan I wasn’t denying what you said. I’m basically agreeing with you - everyone copies everyone. So what? That’s how it is.
And commenting on other people’s comments? That happens on TH-cam, or any other platform that has a comment’s section. You do that too. We all comment on things. So what? That’s how it is.
Seriously, just chill.
Wi-Fi streaming would have been a bad idea - drains battery and who wants WiFi radiation next to their brains
An airpod max competitor? Bro my momentum 4 headphones absolutely destroy the airpod Max's... I hope to god they're better then apples shietty headphones 😂
😂😂😂Looks like 15y old
Bose and Sony do this better at half the cost.
If I were a "tech sound" reviewer and the company told me you can't talk about the sound, I wouldn't even present them.
To be fair, it’s not a review. But yeah, clearly want to protect their early preorders.
@@user-xt9pm4uu2c If I was a manufacturer proud of my product and technology, I would want everyone to ear/see it. That's a petty game they are playing.
Review embargos are standard in all aspects of reviews. The new iPads just released and the "first look" videos literally no one complained they didn't do detailed reviews on the new OLED panels or the performance of the m4. It just a design preview like anything else
@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise That's a dumb trend. Who wants to hear about a headphone without any mention of the sound? Come on now.
First
Copy and paste cannot be a competitor. Lol
I know looks arent everything, but theres literally nothing to the design of these. And not even in a cool minimalist way. They just look like a generic set of plastic headphones that cost $49
Ya no Sonos or apple are over rated give me hifiman or audeze
Wow, this is just like an Apple product but for intelligent people
😂
Another trash product from the trash company. The ANC is a big flop as sonos is using cheap onboard solution from a Chinese provider and sonos also simply does not have the capability to tune the ANC right..
wow, are you a prophet? it hasn't even been launched yet
@@kly2266 You will see if I am right or not
Headphone review without sound check..this aint a review
Too expensive for what’s offered. Take out the Sonos pairing limited thing and it’s any other headphones. Just overpriced cans
No innovation. looks boring. Prolly sound lame too. What r u actually bringing to the game???
5 years too late. Bose and Sony cost half the price and looks miles better..!
They look really cheap. Unfortunately the looks is very important to headphones and these aint it
Bunch of junk.
More overpriced nonsense for the rich and foolish
449???? 🤡
Why does this dude sound so nervous and nasally? Miss on presentation.
