The iPhone 15 Pro with the BMC app has been a game changer for me. It has streamlined my workflow with the automatic generation of the proxy and written to my SSD. The real advantage now is that I have the iPhone with me and I can quickly get a video recording when I would normally miss it not having a video camera. ❤❤❤
a strange decision, because the camera is cheaper than the phone, besides It is made for shooting, and you can't fool physics, the small matrix of the phone is a toy compared to the camera. The depth of field of even dropped cameras, no phone will catch up.
@@PavelMy In reality the answer lies in what do you have in your pocket right now when you see a great shot? I have at least 6 Blackmagic video Cameras (2 x BMPCC, BMCC, BMMCC, BMPCC 4 K) for my normal work. I learned it is not the overall technical specs that take the shot, but what you have available at the time. The iPhone has proven it to me time and time again.
Not sure if you react to comments on older video's, but I was wondering if you could enlighten me on the topic of the native Cinematic Mode that comes with the iPhone 15 Pro Max and whether or not I can activate this through the Blackmagic Camera App. This because I love the slightly blurred background when focusing on the person I'm currently filming, yet the Blackmagic Camera just offers so much more options to get better footage, it's really hard to decide what I want to go for. Slightly blurry, cinematic background in my video's, or overall better looking, more easily color gradable footage.
Sure, if the comment is interesting I reply ;) cinematic mode only works in the native camera app, this does not work with any other app. You need to decide what's more important for you, shallow depth of field, or control.
The base ISO on an iPhone 15 Pro is 1250. Your statement about recording with the lowest ISO is not correct. Gerald Undone did a deep dive into this on his channel.
Thank you for the tips. May I ask, can you recommend a good quality ND filter for an iPhone 14 Pro Max? I’ve seen many on Azn, but it hard to know junk from good stuff on there sometimes.
I’m starting film making with my iPhone 13. I’m in backcountry a lot and need recommendations for backing up video from my phone without cell service or wifi. I’ve googled and TH-cam’d, but I’m old and not tech savvy. Do you have ideas please? Love your videos.
You can't fool physics, but you can fool the buyer. The small matrix simply does not physically catch up with devices made for shooting, not for calls.
If you use a DLSR for video and think its superior, think again. ITS DEAD. Forget the geek specs. Excellent quality is now a given. Simplicity and useability are the new metrics snd the 15 Pro with the BM app is a lethal combo.
No, not a dslr killer lol. Clickbait. If you think a phone is a comparable replacement, then you probably think a McDonald’s hamburger is better than one served at a restaurant
The Black Magic camera app feels like a knife at the back of Android users! 😢 Come on Blackmagic, do the right thing and release this app for Android too! ❤

Hey, just found your channel subscribed great content and by the way I filmed a wedding last month with my iPhone pro 15+ black magic. Got some amazing results and needless to say the clients were very very happy…..(I also came in cheaper than the clients they were going to use LOL)
I’m building my videography portfolio going out and filming for free, and I used the mobile 6 gimbal with the black magic app, and it’s been great, I am probably gonna get the Sony Ze V10 at some point however it’s been really reliable and easy to use the iPhone 15

Thanks for sharing! I truly didn‘t know that
What was the the first phone you shot with?
You need a DSRL to film yourself, you are a funny man 🤣😂
You should make a bundle without the Capcut class because I bougth that already. If you do I'm down to purchase!
Check your mails, you should have received an email

I wouldn‘t say it‘s dead but its coming damn close
Dude, laughable. Digital bokeh is still garbage.
Meant constructively, but it's two minutes in and the reason people came here to watch the video hasn't started yet.
Thanks for the feedback! Need to work on that!
I am six minutes into the video and Still no information about particular app.
I am skipping to the next video video, unfortunately
4min to get to the actual content. 😢 Good stuff, though!
Thx
There are time stamps, and thanks for the feedback!
