Happy birthday to my favorite Fleshgod Apocalypse album. At first, I only liked The Violation and The Forsaking (I hadn't listened to the whole album at that time, only the ones with the music videos), but when I watched the music video for The Forsaking, I noticed a sweet orchestra playing so I decided to give the whole album a listen. And The Imposition and The Betrayal instantly became my favorites. It's a shame that they don't play The Imposition since like 2012 and never played The Betrayal live
My favorite FA member lineup. "The Violation" in my opinion to me is one of the greatest songs ever written. As a songwriter/guitar player myself, it has everything. It is the perfect blend of chaos, technicality, and beauty with the classical and opera elements all fused into perfectly structured song. It is peak musicianship all around. Brilliant.
8:2133:13 I love when a band mix both fast drums, heavy guitar, and elegant orchestra. This is just beautiful 10:4611:29 Love how if you remove everything but the orchestra, The Imposition sounds like a relaxing and dramatic song. Also the way it transitioned into The Deceit 34:07 That sweet orchestra leading to The Forsaking is just amazing. I love how the entire album is like a classical music piece, each song flows perfectly
I have never listened to this whole album before so this will be my first time listening to this!!!! I only heard 2 songs from this album, The Violation and The Betrayal.
My introduction to what would IMMEDIATELY become (after hearing track 6, The Egoism DURING my 1st listen) my favorite band of all-time!!!!❤🤘💯❤🤘💀🔥🔥🔥🎯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️
The Egoism SLAPS HARD AF. Insta bought ticket for 19th Sept in The Opera House in Toronto. See you guys in the center of the mosh pit there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \m/

This was the first album in metal history that the drummer killed the sound engineer and went to the table to record it and mix it himself!

If this isn't your cup of tea, check out later albums like King.
There's a lot more variety in their later work.
