6 cylinder 66 Mustang P/S idler arm replacement. Also drilling and tapping, and adding Zerk fittings to the tie-rod ends
Dude. Just the video I needed. I was scrolling down about to get to work, then your video caught my eye. Glad I stopped to check it out.
I'm going thru the same problem with my 72 coupe 302 car and can't seem to find the right bushing kit, your video helped me a lot ty
Keep them videos coming. Very informative.
Tip. Put grease on the tap. The grease will catch the metal shavings.
Loved the "This is a 2 f bomb job". New unit of measure is born. I have found many jobs on these cars can become multiple f Bomb jobs.
Got to have levity in the education. Makes it infotainment. 👍
That play in the new bushing was shocking! I had a kind of difficult search for an idler arm for my 1973 Mach 1. There are some crappy things out there which will not find! I ended up finding a NOS Moog with some zerk fittings on it! Are you satisfied with ride quality now? Keep up the good work!
Yeah, it’s bad enough to try to find hard to get parts. It’s even worse when they are no good. It’s much better now. Drives like it’s brand new!
@@mechtrician1 Nice to hear it is a lot better! Hope mine too after replacement. I do the whole front suspension with Moog, Proforged and NOS parts at the moment.
Put open tracker roller idler arm and don’t look back.
I have factory power steering so it’s not that easy and I don’t really need one because I have PS.
The Scott Drake idler arm is crap.
