Where did you get your radiator and electric fan setup from? I am in desperate need of updating the cooling on my car as well.
@@genehansen4244 all from Summit Racing.
Couldn't you of just glued the original part that broke back in there ? This is a question not a statement
You could have used the perfectly sized old one as a drift
grazie, sei stato molto utile
Did you mill the intake down or do a 2x1 adapter?
Thanks so much for the video. Super helpful for me to complete a job well done. BTW - love the painting on top of the trashcan. Classic!!
Excellent video Mechtrician1 !!! New subscriber. That's the exact unit we have. Before taking things apart I followed the instructions on the label on the on/off switch. It says to press and hold the On button to manually advance the ice maker. Nothing obvious happens when I do this. Do you have any insight into what it's supposed to do and what it means if nothing happens ?
I recently swapped from a DUI HEI distributor to a Holly sniper and hyper spark set up on my 250 i6. I’m having issues with excessive blow by at the distributor base. I’ve tried different size O-rings, RTV, made viton rubber gasket for the base to sit on all with no results. I even bought a second hyper spark distributor from Holly and that too is having excessive blow blow by I recently had the engine rebuilt and had new rings put in the oil doesn’t leak at idle but only at high speeds and it’s leaking excessively. I’ve recently seen TH-cam videos Warning about buying Chinese knock off HEI distributors that have the same issue. I’m curious if you’ve experienced this since installing your hyper spark?
Thank you for taking the time, good explanation and breakdown. Increased my confidence going in.
I recently installed the Holly hyper spark distributor on my Ford in-line 250. I started having issues with oil blow by at the base of the distributor. Before the swap, I was using a DUI HEI distributor with no issues. Since installing the hyper spark, I’ve tried changing the O-ring applying RTV and making a custom gasket for the base to sit on all with no luck. I even bought a second hyper, spark distributor and again no change in results. I was wondering, if you’re having issues with blow by at the base of your distributor?
@@FrankGuerrini-p6w nope no issues. Sounds like you either have too much crank case pressure due to cylinder blow by or you have some sort of PCV issue or breather issue.
@ I thought the same thing after having new piston rings installed so I pulled the engine back out and sent it back to the machine shop where Warranted the piston rings and replace them. After the initial start up and warm up, I took the vehicle for a drive when I got back, it’s still leaking from the base of the distributor. I take it you’re not having this issue? Also, I’m running one of the original classic in-line heads and intake manifold.
Good video. I am having an issue with my Ice Maker and can't figure it out. Maybe you could help me out. It is making ice, but the ice sits on top of the ice maker. The water valve inlet is working as I have it replaced already. What do you think it would be?
Same happened to mine at about 1 year / 7000 miles. Erratic RPM was causing EFI to pull timing and fuel, resulting in lean misfire
I EXPERIENCE THE SAME THING TRYING TO BLEED MY NEW 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKE SYSTEM FROM WILWOOD FOR MY 66 C 10 SO I ORDERED ONE OF THOSE PLASTIC TOOLS TO SCREW IN TO PROPORTIONING VALVE OR COMBO VALVE AND THE DAMM THING IS TOO FREAKING BIG ITS A 1/2-20 TOO LARGE WONT SCREW INTO THE HOLE WHICH IS A VERY FINE THREAD. CALL AROUND NOBODY HAS A SMALLER ONE OR KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT ?? SO I JUST ENDED UP PURCHASING AN ADJUSTABLE VALVE FROM SPEEDWAY IN/OUT VALVE MOUNTED IT UP ON THE FIREWALL OFF THE MASTER CYLINDER BADA BING ! DONE SHUT THE FRONT DOOR
I'm interesting in installing an inline filter like you did in the video. Do you have a filter part numbers and which fittings I'll need?
Great job and video explaining how you adapted this pot to work, and I appreciate that you showed which pot to order from Digikey. I’m also repairing a few examples of the Zenith Royal 500 series that I acquired from eBay recently. I still have to figure out which replacement capacitors to order, and now plan to add a replacement pot to the order thanks to your example.
Can you provide the parts numbers of the harness..thanks
Need a ICU ?? Or you plug your laptop in the msd box controller and program your set up and go .??
Great DIY video. I got to the same place but couldnt figure out how to get feeder tube out of fridge from rear. Almost started taking apart the whole icemaker from the front.
Where do you find the parts for it because I’ve been looking for the hyper spark kit for my 300 but I can’t find it anywhere
@@aznb_ghost 300 is a different platform from the 200/250. I don’t think they make a Hyperspark for it.
You know, the v in pcv stands for valve right? Youre calling it a pressure control valve, valve.
@@lollipop84858 yeah, the English language is a funny thing because we all know that, yet we all do it. But it’s Positive Crankcase Ventilation, not pressure control valve. 😉
What if you leave that tool in there you get proportion restriction from for 2 lb of the front and 10 in the rear and add into the line could you leave that tool in there and not leak fluid
I replaced the whole unit. No clogged in the white tube. I am NOT getting 110/120v at the plug for the water valve.. I'm guessing a connection or wire issue somewhere in the harness between the ice maker and the water valve...
mine just started acting up but its a new model the plug behind is not the same
Bad explanation. You need to show wiring connection
Did you clean the dryer vent hose?
What’s the status on these babies?
Thanx man, exactly my problem. Fix in 10 minutes 🎉
this is really good info im building a full auto recoil gun controller and i have 2 push pull solenoids in parallel hooked up to a strobe light module thats power input is a micro switch (momentary switch) and after a few strokes full auto the switch contacts get burnt up and the strobe module flasher module probably gets burn up too i learned this by burning through a few, i hope by installing a flyback diode the industive load wont cause that nasty voltage spike and arc
Can you please post the replacement part # for the flush valve? Thanks.
How to pull out bottom , i tried alot but I can’t, 😢?
Omg dude get to the point you keep freezing up
What did you to keep the heater core line when you put the gauge temp sensor in the thermostat housing
An old fashion "growler". An electro magnet which is built with a physical notch where the commutator sets and an old hacksaw blade would show you if that commutator has become to hot and developed short on it's field winding which could very well be caused by a sticky brush. Also, shouldn't a PWMs primary frequency be stable and it's % of power be variable? I am in the process of designing one. It should have a frequency of about 24Khz and the variable voltage should be between 20% and 80% of each time division. What are your thoughts on this?
I have the same turntable and thank you for showing how to replace the belt. One thing you did not show but repaired was the tone arm lift. Mine doesn't lift so I'm wondering if you can share what you did to get the lift to work again. Thanks
I just fixed mine. It really had to be forced to move like really forced. If you open it up you’ll find a small metal rod with a spring on it. That’s the mechanism. Mine was so clogged up after years of not being used. Get some isopropyl alcohol in there with a little bit of lubricant after - should work a treat
I swapped the connector from the water fill valve to the ice maker valve and it did open the valve and i did get water to the ice maker, so where do I go next? could it be the motherboard?
Great video. Can you clarify if we need to pigtail the resistor wire with a new wire directly to the + coil side ? Also the small brown wire on the solenoid has to be disconnected for it to crank over but will only fire after you let off the key to run position !! Can you give advice on the correct connection for the resistor & brown wire .thanks
Zero decked block, flat top pistons, 1.73 rockers... no interface issues? Final compression ratio?
There is 3 options for EEE-FPC101XA on digikey website. EEE-FPC101XAL , EEE-FPC101XAP, and EEE-FPC101XAV. Which one is the right choice? Great video , thank you.
Interesting. I am going to check mine tomorrow. My controller is flashing and having issues staying on. Frustrating that this new style controller is not better than the old one.
Mine is leaking from the valve, so is it the valve itself that's bad or is it the whole proportioning valve ?
Well small leak in the middle Line to the rear and kept shuttling to no flow tot he rear and I gotta fix leak first I guess then tool went in place but still no flow weird
Just bought a valve from maytaga 55 bucks out the door.
Thank you for the video! It helped a lot.
Can it work with one plate? My vehicle only had one original license plate when i purchased it. Id really like to keep the same plate.
@@powerband5235 no. You have to have both.
Hopefully there is another option to the edge molding. Because that stuff is crazy expensive.
Great video showing a better option for the rear belts. I’m curious to know if this will interfere with the rear tires though?
@@89hybrid88 not even close. I have larger aftermarket tires and wheels and it’s not a problem.
@@mechtrician1very cool
What a chaotic video. Thanks man. I think I'm gonna buy new :)
Most important part of taking the tank off and putting on is missing.
Looks like a cheap head gasket, not seal lining on it or glue
@@JanAerts-q5s It was a felpro. Root cause was that this head had been milled over 100 thou. Wouldn’t hold true anymore.
I had an old flex a lite shrouded one piece fan go bad. I tried ordering a new one but the design changed and it wouldn't fit. I ended up installing a no name 18 inch fan that I had, on a 3 row aluminium champion radiator. It draws 18A at startup, maintains 8A draw at full speed. It holds my heavy leather work gloves on the face of the radiator.
where did you get the valve cover setup?
