    This is going to be the future. When it can be efficiently run with target tune for live data to a tuner, most of us will never have to take it to a tuner again. A tuner will be able to look at your data live and tune it perfectly to your riding style.
    Right now, I prefer my PV2 as I use it to monitor my bike as gauges, but I can appreciate where this is going.

    Tune files and software are the same (between PV3/ PV4) and I believe the C3 tuning software has Cam Cruncher for those instances.

    Great job breaking it down for us. Do you like the PV4 than the one on your Lowrider s? If so. Why

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really depends man. On a bike with more stuff going on physically and more things internally I like the screen to monitor stuff real time. No engine work and a smaller frame like the sportster, the pv4 is perfect

    I am about to pull the trigger on ordering the PV4 from Fuel Moto for my 117. It has an aftermarket air cleaner and full 2-1 exhaust. What are your thoughts on the tune that Fuel Moto provided to you? Does the bike run good/better with the tune?

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      It does. Very much so. Fuel moto is know for very good tunes. With your setup a base map from them would be great. A professional tune is always even better but you would definitely be happy with just that fuel moto tune

    Great job with the video. Fuel Moto was supposed to load a tune on mine before they shipped it, I am not seeing it. After the holiday weekend I'll give them a call.. *subscribed*

    Soo I’m curious is there a big difference between the fuel moto tune and the dynojet (full exhaust/ big intake) tune??

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I obviously can’t say that much on this because I don’t have access to each tune to see what was done to both but fuel moto has a reputation for great tunes. They also trailer the tune to your setup instead of a generic 2-1 and air cleaner tune for all bikes. Fuel moto does a ton of dyno testing with different setups so they have a lot of data to pull from.

    I want to buy the power vision 4 but if I take it to a professional tuner can they plug into the tuner? Or do I have to leave the app open on my phone for them to tune?

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they can plug it in. No phone needed for a dyno tune. Professional tuners just need the newer software so check with whoever you’re planning on going with first

    I bought my pv4 from fuel moto, how do I get the tune from them. When I setup my app and paired my device all that was available were dynojet maps

    • @RidinDad

      They email you the tune. Did you tell them specifics about your setup like they request at checkout?

  • @iliyakolev6700

    great videos, thanks! I own the same Superlow and will install the SS 883 to 1200 conversion kit (just the cylinders and pistons). Do you think I can rely on pv3 or pv4 for tuning after the upgrade? Because there are no reliable shops who can dyno tune my bike here in Bulgaria.

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  หลายเดือนก่อน

      With anything can job and up you need a shop to tube. A pv3 or 4 will be able to have a downloaded tune specific to your bike but it won’t be very good. Possibility of running lean or rich amongst other issues. I know you don’t have a close shop but you need to just bite the bullet and bring it to a place that’ll tune it. Even if it’s a few hours away. You can rent a trailer/truck etc. I know it’s not ideal but there’s no substitution for a real shop tune with that kind of engine work

    Does the s&smk45 muffler program come in?
    Is Stage 2 475 cam also programmed?

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Stage 2’d are not base maps available on the pv4. But with this tuner, you are able to go to a professional shop and have them hook it up to the newer software, and have an actual professional tune written for your bike with it. So it is very capable of it. Bass naps are not even recommended for anything more than just a simple air cleaner or exhaust set up. And that specific exhaust style is not on the map, but there are very generic stage one set ups that will work fine for it but at the end of the day, nothing replaces a professional tune

    @jomar284 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Why did you go for PV4 than the FP4?

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The fp4 sucks. The base tunes are not great and there is no expanding capability. The pv4 can be connected to winpep software at a dyno guy and have an actual custom tune written for your bike. Also the base maps are better and outsourced maps can be downloaded

  • @withPercy
    @withPercy ปีที่แล้ว

    Really want to get this tuner but I’m going to do a cam. They need to add that capability soon.

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So my thoughts on cams are loaded maps aren’t worth a damn. If you get a cam you should accompany it with a professional tune. That being said, if you buy this from fuel moto they will prepare a base tune for you even if you have a cam I believe. So it can get you by for a week or two till you get to a dyno guy. And then this tuner can obviously be hooked up to the winpep software and you can get a good professional tune too

    • @withPercy
      @withPercy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RidinDad @Ridin Dad You're totally correct on that. Cam goes in, you need to take the bike to have a proper tune. What I'm trying to find out is if my dealership/tuner can use this tuner to Dyno and load up my bike. I don't want to have to buy this then find out I have to drop $800 on the big boy box for them to load up my bike. Still kicking myself for not buying the new PowerVision in November when the dropped for the new bikes. I think it was like 3-4 weeks later that they jacked the price like they did.

  • @Braapstar219
    @Braapstar219 ปีที่แล้ว

    Does it support cam upgrade?

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure I explained all this, but the base downloadable maps are not made for cams. Fuel moto will probably write a tune for it. But I wouldn’t recommend it. Cams and more should be matched with a professional dyno tune at a shop which this is compatible with as long as your guy has the newer software

    • @andrewwatt8726
      @andrewwatt8726 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      And what if you Dont have a Dyno shop to go to? Hence why some of us are at the mercy of FuelMoto and their tunes that include cam.

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Base maps even from fuel moto, are not a replacement for a dyno tune at an actual shop. If you have a cam change you need to get a dyno tune. Find a shop. They are everywhere. If you have a 2-3 hour drive so be it.
