      Just because it's not in the video doesn't mean it didn't happen. I typed subtitles to say it too. Lots of times I edit things out either because they take too long, someone interrupted my video at home, video/audio/lighting conditions were bad etc. All sorts of reasons. do you have a one piece clutch cable... i installed the same clutch basket but have the 2 piece cable with the fat bagger clutch adjustor and the adjustor is right at the end of the threads to take up the slack and thats without a 1/4 turn out :(

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do. No matter what set up you have the two piece cable system from Harley is trash, and I have no idea why they ever would have went to that. Do yourself a favor and get a one piece clutch cable, not only will adjustments be better, but the whole Actuating of the clutch will be better in general. Single piece clutch cables are so much better than the crap that Harley is trying to put out now.

    Long post incoming:
    I just installed a evolution clutch industries clutch kit on my 2021 street bob. My issue now is the clutch cable, when I pull the lever it doesn’t move the basket at all nor is there any tension on the cable like if there is too much slack. I’ve been running the fat baggers manual clutch adjuster and haven’t had this problem until now. Do I need a spacer on the clutch lever? Did I miss a step?
    I haven’t poured fluids into the engine yet just Incase if I need to disassemble and troubleshoot. Please let me know what you think and any suggestions. Basically it is not giving it enough pull to open and close the basket.

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah man for sure. It’s a lot stiffer. My Flo levers make the pull much less stiff but it’s still a fair bit over stock

      @@RidinDad alright. I literally thought I messed something up so spent a good 2 hours looking over and re torquing everything. My shorty levers probably don’t help. I have a 2 piece clutch cable with the red tab that auto adjusts the free play. It would pop out every 3rd pull if the sleeve wasn’t over it. I’m swapping to the fat baggers metal adjustment replacement. Then I’ll need you to make a video on doing one of those clutch ramp ez pulls or something to lessen the pull lol

    • @RidinDad
      @RidinDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1
