    Great video and beautiful cemetery. My grandmother had a bad leg break when she was a little girl in St. Louis and met Gussie Busch whom had been at the hospital and he heard of this little girl and the circumstances, so he went into her room and talked with her. Afterward, he went into the hall and seen the doctor talking with my great grandfather and heard him tell the doctor that he'll go to the bank and try to get a second note to the farm to pay for the expensive surgery to save her from losing the leg. Gussie took the doctor aside and said to do whatever was necessary for her and that he would pay for it. What a good guy and growing up I never seen any other brand of beer at any family get together, it was always Budweiser. We still have an x-ray from when she was 80 showing the steel rod from way back then.

      I spent twenty five years working at the Anheuser Busch brewery. The Busch family has always been generous to the American people and especially to their employees. My dad worked for Gussie Busch and I worked for August Busch the 3rd and August Busch the 4th. The entire family , the best friend the working men and women ever had. The stories of their kindness will last forever because their true.

    You can see I love watching the videos where you go to different cemeteries and show the beautiful mausoleums and gravestones. That's crazy to think she had her parents exhumed so that they could have that spot. Kind of weird to think about, but that is an absolutely beautiful mausoleum.

    Whether history is good or bad, we still need to learn from it! I love how you are non-political and just tell things like they are. I and many others may not agree, but that's ok. Many people are trying to cancel others or crucify them because they don't have the same ideals or beliefs, and it's not right! Thank you for keeping it real and keeping it light-hearted.

    • @MeMe-nw9mq
      @MeMe-nw9mq ปีที่แล้ว

      Amen! Just because someone doesn’t agree with something that you said doesn’t make it okay for them to try to take away your rights to say it. We’re seeing more and more of the so called “cancel culture” in our society. It’s so wrong, doxxing people and publishing their home addresses, place of employment, email addresses and personal phone numbers, getting people fired from their jobs, harassed out on the street, etc. These people are like a pack of rabid dogs. Never in a million years did I think that I’d see all that’s happening in the U.S. right now going on in my lifetime.

One memory you sparked was in regards to the St Louis Cardinal football player, Larry Wilson. I remember watching him play a game with two broken arms! Can you imagine a safety playing with that? He did. And played well.

    Another famous person buried there is Confederate General Alexander P. Stewart. Born in Tennessee, he served in the US Army, then became a math professor at Cumberland University in Nashville. He served with distinction in CSA's Army of Tennessee in the western theater of the war. After the Civil War, he became chancellor of the University of Mississippi. Lived with his son in St. Louis in his later years, and that's the reason he's buried there.

    Thanks once again Jordan...Very cool segment, listened to Rush from his days in Sacramento in the 80's until his passing. He only wanted the best for this country and for all Americans to reach the best they could be. Not a thing wrong with that. Larry Wilson. I have had Arizona Cardinals season seats since 96 and was fortunate enough to come across him many times, Mr.Wilson was a Cardinal thru and thru. If you happen to be in the area when the Cards have a home game and you want to go to a game I have a seat on the 25 yard line 5 rows from the field waiting for you....Just say the word....God Bless and keep you safe on your travels.

    The mausoleums are beautiful, but a waste of money IMO. Leona Helmsley had a $1.4 million dollar mausoleum built for her, Harry and her son Jay and maybe her dog (the cemetery had rules about no pets) that was left a $12 million dollar trust, (the trust was broken, but the dog was still very well cared for and even had security) It's in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, N. Y. It would be nice if a great TH-camr did a vlog on it, hint, hint, hint. Not a fan of Rush. We know what Mr. and Mrs. Busch like to do with 22 children!!

    Rush is my hero, I started listening the day after 9/11 and was hooked. People call him so many things that he never was. What impressed me most about him, was how he could predict what was going to happen in politics. And he would always give me hope, no matter how bad things got in America.

    I lived in St. Louis for over 20 years and enjoyed this historical cemetery. Is there a TOUR GUIDE BOOK of Bellefontaine Cemetery that helps you find the actual gravesites? I’ve seen one but it’s not a guidebook for the cemetery. Thanks in advance!

      In their lobby they have a few books about the cemetery there. The one I bought was more of a pamphlet which highlighted the numbered spotlighted graves.
