I know obviously that the interview is 10 yrs old but such a joy glad to catch it! A good man with a prodigious talent and sense of generosity .... lovely!
And such a bloody shame he's now party to pushing the 'agenda' and in effectively killing Dr who 😮
I love "I didn't say that"
"You didnt deny it"
And all of us 10 years in the future know he's already filmed it!
I read somewhere that they started filming the 50th in April 2013 and that David's involvement was finalised only a month or so before that. So there is a chance he really knew nothing yet when this interview was filmed but the wheels were obviously spinning already.
@@taichistudent He admitted in another interview that he knew for over a year before filming it that he was in it! They didn't have to try hard to persuade him, he said yes instantly!
@@sarahglover3286 do you know what interview it was? 😊
@@abimitchell1442 Graham Norton show when he was there with Matt!
I remember seeing Tom Baker back in the day in the King's Road in London, I was 14 and said hello Dr Who and he winked at me :) I've never forgotten that moment :)
Yes Tom is best
Great story like that about Roger Moore where a kid met him at an airport and said "your James Bond but you signed this autograph as Roger Moore" Moore quietly said "yes, in case Blofelds people are watching us!" 25 years later he meets the same guy on a TV shoot and the guy says "remember me at the airport in Nice?" and Moore says "no, sorry". Then the guy sees Moore leaving alone and Moore says quietly to him "of course I remember Nice, but Blofeld's agents could have been here too!" The guy was amazed and delighted at his hero being brilliant twice, 25 years apart! He said Moore made him feel like a little kid again! True star status that is. ❤
"Is it? I hadn't noticed," nice one David ;)
In the photo at 5:39, he looks like a younger Peter Capaldi
Im so glad im not the only one who thought that
Scarily like Capaldi, another Scottish Dr Who.
I literally cannot put into words how much i love this man, look at him HE IS SO BEAUTIFUL
SO charming and self-deprecating 😮
First David tennant lied about being in the 50th anniversary then a decade later Andrew Garfield took it to the next level
I watched this ages ago and literally (jokingly) sent it to Georgia Tennant (The Doctors Daughter, & wife!!!) saying “I think you need to know that your husband is a liar!” LOL It’s so amazing though to think that David, a lifelong Dr.Who fan not only becomes THE DOCTOR, but then meets on the show, “HIS” Doctor’s actual daughter on set playing HIS daughter, and then f in marries her! Making her the Doctors Daughter and wife, and then because of that, and thus because of his all time favourite show has his children and his whole family! All because he was a Dr.Who geek as a kid. Bloody amazing! Love DT!
Dont forget Georgias dad is pete davison the 5th doctor.
She posted her cv as daughter of 5th
girlfrind of 10th
& wife of 14th
maybe there will be more in the future...
@@therealDarkHuntress I didn’t, it’s a key part of my comment, and I mentioned it at least twice LOL
@@LisaBeta-42 Oh god, yeah I completely forgot that now she’s added wife of the 14th to the roster. It would be really awesome if in a few years one of David and Georgia’s kids went on to play The Doctor and then she’d also be The Doctor’s mother LOL
oh it’s an old interview for a minute i panicked and thought i’d missed something
Just to show how much of a fan I am of David Tennants Doctor, I have every single episode of his on DVD, I have a toy model of his TARDIS, I also have his screwdriver (two of them, one of them is used to write invisible ink) I have the psychic paper (you use the invisible ink sonic screwdriver to write on it) I have a collection of all the toys action figures of Rose, 10th Doctor, The Master, The Cybermen and The Toclafane. They are all in the attic now but I still have them. I also played the interactive webisode game on the CBBC channel, along with the website where you could make a doctor who trailer for a competition (I never win it but I remember making the trailer for Season 3.) I was just obsessed with Doctor Who from 2006-2009.
You can buy those stamps in _"the little shop..."_
I don't keep track of Jonathan Ross, so I just assumed this was a recent interview, like this week or something, then he said new year so I assumed like January this year
Then there was no mention of the 60th, so I assumed it was like before his return was announced but still only within the last 2 years
Then he said Matt and the 50th rumours and like, how am I watching a 10 year old interview with this man that I first assumed was from this week, HE DOES NOT AGE
I had that same thought🤣
STILL LOOKS GOOD AS THE DOCTOR IN 60YEAR CELEBRATION
that old man is so relatable 😄 don't get me wrong, I love David and I would die if I ever met him but IT'S OLVIA COLMAN (loml)
oh this is from early 2013
If the episode guide from wiki is to be believed 5 January 2013. Which means that David is probably LYING very well here, as Day of the Doctor shot that spring (March 28 to May 4th) and it seems very very unlikely that BBC had not gotten in contact to arrange David's availability less than 3 months from shooting. His participation wasn't announced until March (5 days early by accident), when shooting was happing and it was be harder to hide as Matt and David would be seen together shooting on location in a bow tie and swishy coat.
@maggiemakgill I mean moffat did say he struggled to get anybody to do the show at first but yeah
Only 2 kids…
David Tennent is a natural treasure❤
I'm more of a National Trinket...
At least he was before he started advocating for child mutilation
@@sirandrelefaedelinogeAwwww, good for you 👏
@@MichaelM28 One of his children is transexual and he will do ANYTHING to protect him. He's not advocating for anything unless you include circumcism sp what is WRONG with you people he's not pro woke rubbish he's a protective father GET REAL.
@@EvelynBaronthe kid your talking about is only 10 years old
david is such a good actor because we all know that was a lie
Saturday 5th January 2013
Oh jeez this is an old interview i was so confused when David looked younger and they mentioned Broadchurch
Ross you trickster
guys get Tennant to guest here, I mean this is the first time the (main) Doctor gets to be played by the same actor.
Annoying how they cut out the extracts...
Hehehe quite. 😭
Davis and Daniel Radcliffe could play father and son.
To the haters, Again, if you don't like it don't watch. As far as the bigotry, and hatred towards people who are different, you really do not understand what Doctor Who has been about for 60 years. ACCEPTANCE. No matter what you think, this show is not about you.
Honestly thought he was gonna bring on Tom Baker.
Like his *purple shirt* 😉😉😉😉😉
Eleven was the *GOAT*
Too true, he doesn’t get the recognition that he deserves
Vincent and the Doctor is my favourite episode ever. Matt was just gorgeous in it
He was great but not the greatest
lol. Poor David. I guessing than old man doesn’t watch Doctor Who.
Rule 1: The Doctor Lies
Is it just me or is David enhanced by AI in the thumbnail
But Tom baker was
He's not the best and he knows it. That accolade belongs to Tom Baker.
Think again. That would be quite unlawful, outgoing DAs and judges. Just the very opposite. And its much more than just talk.
Cringe the talk of fans licking the stamp!
60th not 50th what does david mean he doesn't know anything hes in the 60th?
This is from 2013 lol
Matt smith was the greatest
No never Tom was
Matt one of the worse
My favourite Doctors are the 3rd, 10th and 12th, but I love Matt too 💗
Wrong. Peter Davison is the greatest Doctor.
IMO Tennant doesn’t even make the top 3.
Good actor but, let's be honest, the Dr Who comeback was a mess from start to finish
We’ve gone from dr. Who to dr. Who cares
Just saying matt smiths doctor was better than David's, matts had more emotional scenes n drive
He was my favourite doctor, but with the 60th anniversary special they finally killed Doctor Who.
Its really sad as someone who loved david tennant i was so excited for the specials but its just another show messed up by investors
R.I.P DOCTOR WHO 1963 - 2017
🙄
Woke, woke, woke, woke…do give it a rest. A lot of these channels do not even have any Doctor Who content, they are just parroting what the other idiots are saying. It’s pathetic really. No one is forcing you to watch it, and personally, I’m glad we are weeding out the bigots. Talk about snowflakes, good Lord. 🙄
Oh look, it's the sad little bridge dweller again.
The meaning behind "get a life" is completely lost on you.
I also didn’t like some of the newer episodes but I’m not crying about it because I’m not a baby
🙄💩🙄
Tennant 'did' make a good Dr Who.... but that was "then". Now, he has destroyed "The Doctor" forever. I have seen every episode ever made - I was a kid in the UK when William Hartnell became the first doctor. I have watched the first (60th anniversary) "special" (that's special with a capital "R") and will never, ever, watch another one. The Doctor is dead. Dug "it's" own grave and happily jumped in, pulling all the dirt back in on top of "it"self. Nothing more than "woke" propaganda.
lmao when was Doctor Who, a show about an alien that respects all peaceful people not a show where the progressive ideas were upheld as the right one
wow you are so angry in your comment. i would like to think we save our anger for self-reflection and are careful to spread any unsollicited negativity online. I think that's what the dr. would do! : )
i'm sad to hear you feel so bad about the new episodes, but perhaps it is comforting to know that many people seem to like it, and the show can live on even after it no longer seems to fit your tastes and preferences
How were you ever a fan of the show? The Doctor has been woke since day one! It was made by a Jewish woman, who was the first ever female producer for the BBC, and a gay Muslim immigrant director.
I was gonna say NO WAY THATS HIM RN 😅
