I don’t think Harrison likes being in the limelight, but he also plays around with it at the same time. He’s a very good actor.
He's an awful actor, so wooden that if he stands still for too long the crew hang their coats on him. Loved the children's charity retort by Walliams.

@@whyiseverysinglehandletaken2 I confess I have watched several lol. Some of his movies are quite good, but due to other factors, ie direction, story etc but normally in spite of him. I'm a Tommy Lee Jones fan and quite liked The Fugitive. Presumed Innocent wasn't bad either, but generally he's just the same Mogadon Man in all of his performances.

@@ViN-kr3ri that doesn't necessarily mean that he is 'wooden', more like the industry isn't ready to give him a different role. Whenever he is though, he has always shined. You cannot deny that he is a legend.

Always amazed with his comic timing, there legit isn't anyone else out there like him. It is hard to put a finger on but he just "gets" it. Would have been a great comedic actor.
This is awesome because they get get a rapport going despite the whole thing being really awkward. Great improv.

There are famous people, and then there are FAMOUS people! This man is not only Han Solo but Indiana Jones. Imagine that level of fame and notoriety for one minute. He has brought joy and happiness to so many people over the years, not to mention Blade Runner or The Fugitive or Jack Ryan. The man is truly a living legend.

This was a very well done interview that Jonathan managed to do here. Usually Harrison Ford is not that talkative in talkshows, so one can only assume that he felt very comfortable with Jonathan. It is also amazing how reserved David Walliams remained, which is not a typical characteristic of his either. :-D

This is by far the most hilarious Harrison Ford interview I have ever seen. Harrison Ford could have easily been a comedian actor and been absolutely great it's just something about his timing and the way he reacts to things he really knows how to say things without saying a word. He can probably pick up where Leslie Nielsen left off and hit a new high note and he's the perfect age to do that kind of stuff right now and pull it off. But this was really freaking hilarious everybody was just perfect here and funny as hell.. two fookies up way high!

Sombre, realistic, and just pretty honest. Harrison Ford doesn't mince his words. He did it because it was probably the first time in a while that anyone was interested in him. And as for the money, I doubt he needs it, but he doesn't suffer fools gladly. I can imagine that having to come on the Jonathan Ross show figures pretty low in his priorities of 'what I'd like to do'. If I were in his shoes, I'd much rather be off fishing somewhere :-)

I remember seeing Harrison Ford in American Graffiti at the drive-in as Bob Falfa, cruising in a '55 Chevy. That was a great movie.
That’s exactly what I remembered. Ford in a stetson in a chevy on the drag.
Yeah and the real star actor of that movie; Paul LeMat gets the shaft and goes nowhere. He got Harrison the gig on AG so when he called him to return the favor years later Harrison said “he would see what he could do.”

The movie of his that I enjoyed the most was "Regarding Henry". To see him in a NON-heroic leading role and still bringing all the emotion you're used to seeing from him in his many hero-type roles was refreshing.
I think i would have to go with Frantic, absolutely loved that film
Check out “The Mosquito Coast”. His character is not very likable, but his performance is stunning.

You have to love him. He is not the ordinary celebrity.
He still flies a plane even after a emergency landing in 2014. He stops to refuel and sleep a night in Wichita, Kansas. Just flew by in May. Lately he has three projects. A Indiana Jones movie, a streaming TV show with Jason Segel called Shrinking and 1923, a prequel to Yellowstone, with Helen Mirren.
In the interview he says he owns 8 planes but started to say 9. The 9th one was broken in his emergency crash 9 years ago.
Apparently the new indiana jones movie is shyte. But I will wait until I watch it myself to pass judgement

Harrison Ford's Passion for Aircraft has proven his abilities to fly. He had many crashes. But knew to risk his life to not harm anyone but himself. God bless.

Is anyone else who realized how a true gentleman Jamie Oliver is? He didn't have any conceit or lust to show off himself. He just stood there respectfully and gave a full space for a true legend! That night, he was the catalyst in inspiring people to maintain quality and respect for Harrison, or else the other two would drag him as a clown, and the crowd would laugh at him! Their comments sometimes were quite intruding i could say...

@@sidb37 unfortunately when you take on risky ventures you'll occasionally fail. Not every thing is a success in life. I don't think average chefs go on to have his career and wealth, he also does a lot for disadvantaged people, has cooking initiatives to help people in need. He does a lot to highlight the problems in the diets and nutrition in the working class and the problems with access to good food. He probably does more good than these two but because he sits quietly at the end and wasn't a star in a movie, people like you are very naive.

Ford was there purely to promote the new Star Wars movie, by contractual obligation. Ross was obliged to talk about Star Wars with him for a certain percentage of the interview, agreements would have been signed beforehand with whoever were representing Ford and Star Wars. And whatever Ford thinks of the movie, Ross certainly wasn’t allowed to say anything bad about the movie.
It was a pity he never mentioned Blade Runner. That's my fave film and it put him a a vulnerable character.

Personally wouldn’t ask anything about his wife. Harrison takes his personal life very seriously and is very reserved and dignified in answering that. Had the privilege of meeting him as an extra in TFA.

But you can beat it if you saw the first Star Wars movie in May of 77'. I watched it repeatedly with my brother that summer. Harrison was, is, and always will be a legendary badass.

The first time I was really blown away by Harrison Ford's acting was when I saw Regarding Henry. Before that, I'd just thought of him as an action hero type. In Regarding Henry, he plays a lawyer who gets shot twice when he walks in on a liquor store robbery, and one of the shots causes him to lose oxygen to his brain, and he gets a sort of selective amnesia and is in pretty bad shape. But Ford is SO realistic and convincing as he portrays a gunshot victim who slowly, and with great effort and support, starts to regain his memory and rejoin his former life. *That's* when I saw what a really fine actor Ford is, because it wasn't just whip-cracking Indiana Jones or space traveling Han Solo. Ford actually has great acting chops, and could escape being stereotyped.

Yeah that was a good film and nice to see him playing a vulnerable flawed character for a change. Another great film where the actor plays against type is “Awakenings”. Robert DeNiro was completely convincing as a fragile mental patient determined to get his life back.

In Indiana Jones Harrison Ford has portrayed a great credible character with good comedic timing , his acting/actions and Steven Spielberg's directing is what made this movie franchise so great ( besides off course the rest of the cast and the soundtrack).
Don't forget this franchise has inspired so many others but only a few come close to it's quality.
Great and fun interview. I didn’t know David Walliams work until I found the comedy show Little Britain with him and Matt Lucas, that is another great artist. Big fan of them now! Can’t wait for the new show they are planning.

What a class act, tells someone he doesn't know from Adam, that they are a nobody to him, respectfully, and tells the nobody he doesn't know they could be the person that dropped the set piece on him and broke his leg, but still goes on to say i don't need to know who it was, and from his attittude, likely told the director, don't screw them over.... it wasn't on purpose, it was an accident.... and likely if they DID screw that person over if they sent him a quiet message, they would be back in business if not better. great guy!

hes been like this since 83. his tv interviews are just a blast and he is a curmudgeon in all of them.
Just be aware, it is a misnomer to assume that an older body means they are less of who they were as a younger person or incapable of things they’ve been doing for several years. The brain still functions the same as it always has. It’s tough to see yourself in the mirror as old when inside you’re still the same person you’ve always been. Beauty is still there.
I am setting up a donate page for Harrison Ford, given his tragedy, and the hardship, the world must come together. The people of Ethiopia should put together a rock concert to raise funds for Mr Ford.

I work in the TV industry. Let's just say that David Walliams does not have a positive reputation behind the scenes - I'm talking 'Me Too' kinda reputation...
So it's satisfying to see a powerhouse like Ford not indulge in the guy.
There's something about David Walliams that I find sinister. I get a sense of darkness from him. I think his persona is odd.

Harrison is hilarious in Secret Life of Pets 2 and Morning Glory. He's a bit misunderstood like Clint Eastwood. Both hail from parts of USA where you are men's men. You just get on with things. Loved him in Star Wars and really enjoyed him in Bladerunner 1&2. The Indiana Jones series is great of course, but I think I've always enjoyed his more intense roles best.
Harrison Ford has never struck me as the insecure macho man type (such as Clint or John Wayne). He seems kind, genuine and grounded.

I like his dry humour as I am 69 myself but I fear some may have , misinterpreted his manner and thought he was being dull or rude. He wasn't.
