Please please please! I need to know what she was diagnosed with. I have the EXACT same symptoms and my doctors are baffled. My EMG only showed minimal C7 irregularity (some degeneration that has been present for some time).
This all happened after a rear end collision weeks after a shoulder operation. MY range of motion went POOF and scapula winged overnight. I have a brachial plexus MRI scheduled in a couple weeks, but they don't even seem concerned about the scapula since the EMG didn't show long thoracic nerve, but I feel a 'zing' from back there. If it's held still, it feels so much better, but not good.

What treatment options exist for this?

    Is it a faciobrachial palsy?

It's a combination of LMN and UMN lesion. Long thoracic nerve of bell palsy and then UMN signs of C5, C6, C7. Motor neurone disease is a possibility. Lou Gerhig's, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, multiple sclerosis, diabetic neuropathy of long thoracic nerve of bell and diabetic plexopathy, diabetic amyotrophy?

EMG today will help sort a lot of this out. I agree. combo of UMN and LMN. Could also be a central cord stenosis of the cervical spine. More info to come.
