The Focus Sash Endeavour tactic was excellent. Wish your Beedrill also knew Quick Attack to knock out that fossil bird!
Yeah quick attack would have been really useful! Not sure if it would have ended any different but still happy with how the fight went
The Morty fight's introspection was so funny! Honestly I want to say that quilava has very low defense and sp defense, where gengar's special attack is very high.
Yeah its what I get for always talking down on Morty! Yeah quilava almost pulled through but annoyingly just missed taking down the gengar

Was weird to watch without a Pikachu on the team though
If counted Beedrill for a Johto catch then why not also Ash's Seaking for Hook Line and Sinker Johto episode as at least would have a better Water type then Totodile for late game
Also maybe Union Cave Lapras as reunites with it for 1 episode in Johto anime plus Orange Island was a transitional season between Kanto and Johto anime so can be flexible on putting on Kanto and Johto teams with Snorlax
Was part 2 for Kanto portion planned with all available Ash Ketchum Pokémon in the game before the wipe?

I didn't know Ash caught a seaking, none of the lists I looked at online said anything about it. Otherwise I probably would have used it.
I avoided snorlax and lapras on purpose though, they would have made the run to easy!
sometimes playing through kanto in gen 2 can be a bit of a drag honestly, so probably not.

Emotional roller coaster
Ash's Phanpy evolved into Donphan during the Battle Frontier series and his Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava the day before Ash competed in the Sinnoh League. His only Pokémon that evolved during Jobto was his Chikorita into Bayleef.
I mean tbf had I made this run any harder for myself I don't think i would have made it past the 3rd gym

Imagine doing this with the moveset of Ash's Pokemon. I think this would be either impossible or extremely difficult.
Also loving the names. I was eating a bag of Maltesers while watching the video
Cool idea but yeah, I struggled enough as is during this run. Might work better in later gens when ash's teams are stronger. Good choice!

Despite how crap it gets nowadays, Gen 2 isn't even my least favourite Pokemon generation. My least favourite, actually, is Gen 7.
