Thanks Moore! Yeah when I started out I spent a lot on nothing relevant to kayak fishing and basically a few buggers actually gave advice. This is just scratching the surface of what lure to use but covers the general basis.
Top video by the main bugger. I'm learning quite a bit as I am saving for my kayak. Hoping yo be in the water soon to catch some yellowtail for easter pickle fish, miskien
Learned so much, I had to get out my notepad haha Can you give us some tips on tackle management and organizing? i.e. Storing lures, how you pack lures (in a bag/lunch box), do you keep traces, etc? Or even better put a video out on it? It's always a mess between my lure's leaders, squid jigs, and other traces.
Yo wazzup Werner! Most definitely will get onto that! I have had loads of buggers ask me about that & also how to stay organized while out on the water. I use zip lock bags for traces, tupperware for terminal and the fish hatch for yellowtail! ;) Thanks for the recommendation bugger!
Great vid, very similar to what we use here in NZ. We get much bigger yellow tail so the vertical jigs we use range from 150g to 500g ( 750cm legal limit, 1m is common and 1.2m is bit of a trophy fish) . I love the look of the soft plastic squid you put on the jighead. I haven't seen those here. Could you give a name of it so i can search it up. I reckon it could work well for our snapper. Thanks
Hey bud Yeah we get yellowtail up to 20kg here up our coast but is in some really rough waters. The squid is called "Phantom Squid" and is from a company called Fishman Tackle Wholesalers. Definately jealous of your guys' yellowtail fishing! Tight lines bugger!!
Great video - thanks. Here in East London we get both the cold waters from the south and the warm waters from the north at certain times. Can you give us some advise on fishing in the different types of water?
Hey bud! I fish in probably the most coldest water here in South Africa. Sometimes our waters hit a 9 degrees Celcius. So what ever I'm doing, just scale it up by a 1000 for the warmer waters! Lol Tight lines Jacques Cheers Cpt G
Howsiiiiit No need to shout... haha lekker man so the size of the singles depends on the size of the lure and fish you want to target. There's tons of guides online if you just google it bud. Yeeeew!
Howsit bud! Very difficult to say! I'd definately have the Attack Sprat in there, a pink trolling lure and a blue one too? The fish become very fussy and change diet quicker than a vegan on a lawnmower... Cheers bugger!
Good day. I am considering to start kayak fishing. Do you do guided tours for people that want to try it out? i don't have a kayak yet because i don't want to invest in one if i don't find the experience fun and enjoyable. I have the right gear in terms of rods and reels. Maybe a few lures that will work too.
Good day bugger Justin! Yes we do offer course & trips. Three to be in fact, 1stly the handling course for those who have never been on a kayak before or those who wish to become more confident on their kayak. 2nd - Intro to kayak fishing This is what I will recommend for you as it is a shorter fishing trip with the basics. 3rd - Kayak Fishing Adventures The big kahoona, all in one trip. A long trip out on the kayak chasing tail and other pelagics we come across. This one is quite popular for those with fishing experience who would like to go full steam for some fish. Send us a message on our Facebook page, "Cpt Gingerbeard Kayak Fishing" and we can slot you in after lockdown. Cheers Cpt G
By far, the best vid I've seen explaining different types of lures, where and how to use them, and what fish you can expect to catch.

Do you only use synthetic lures or do you use life bait as well?
In my new video coming up you will see why live bait never works... I'll give ya a hint, it starts with and ends with SEALS...
