Correct me if I am wrong but we should be close to the right time of the year again for Garrick? Scottburgh area of the next 3 weeks, any good spot recommendations for this spinning setup you describe?
You are 100% correct, it's that special time of year again. Especially as the sardines are so close. Look for banks and troughs and try that Chaos plugs, needle nose and chisel depending on the water surface, windy or calm.
The Saltist power spin is very nice and powerful, but with absolutely rubbish guides. After the second throw the first guide on the midsection broke off. The others will go soon. Bought it from MIAS at Woodmead. The first three guides should always have two feet for mounting (like the first guide).
Finally a simple clear explanation with alot of good info.
Wow this was actually a great video... Sorry for watching it only 3 years later 👌🔥

Very informative video... Was that Werner Kok gatecrashing towards the end of the video?
Cheers! 😀👍
Great video. Do you think a 9 ft rod up to 2oz would be usable for garrick off the beach
Very informative video
Thank you Ridwaan :) Glad you enjoyed it.
For me 8-12 centimetre lures work the best. Garrick ,even the really big ones seem to ignore big lures but go crazy for smaller ones
Absolutely, matching what they're feeding on is key to success.
I use a bg 10.6 powerspin its a really amazing rod and extremely versitile.
That has to be our favourite rod.
🌟💯🎣🎣🎣

@@TheKingfisherFishing Thank you for answering...👍👍have a great day
Can you do a reel review on the Saltiga 2020
Hi Shakeer, we sure can and with the sards being here and all the big sharks, it's the ideal reel for the conditions.
How far should I cast when targeting Garrick
What action is the saltiest 11”6 rod?
What range of distance are talking with say a 2oz jig head.
Maximum distance would be roughly 80m with a 2oz & 20lb Daiwa J-Braid. Hope that helps.

Hey Willie, if you can bring it into our Kingfisher Durban branch we can have a look at your guides. It should have done that.
