It was atrocious on release and they implemented shitty vehicle mechanics without fixing major bugs. I never even bought 2042 based on my experience with prior BF games and this was before I even knew who Enders was. All Enders does it call out objective facts about the state of BF gameplay. I think it was 100% a targeted ban after Enders criticised the weapons designer. He called out a Dice employee by name (I can’t remember the name) but he is in charge of weapon balance and basically said that he’s terrible at his job. Hilarious & 100% true, but probably what got him the van.
Yeah, he was focusing on the Glock.. three burst mode.. still being more powerful than most primary weapons “since” the launch of this game.. that developer should’ve been let go months ago.. the problem is, these developers don’t even play their own game and it’s evident.
@@entreri76x It's funny cause it's not really the base damage or the burst itself but the headshot ratio is HUGE for the gun. If 2 out of the 3 bullets hit the head it's a 1 burst kill. It's a bit much. Single fire the gun is quite balanced. But burst it's way too monstrous.

You underestimate EA. We (community) criticised the way Command & Conquer was being developed and EA shut down the 25 year franchise permanently.. I'd be picking your battles more carefully against them.. As Silk is doing here, You are dealing with a company that made $1.5 billion in the 2nd Quarter of 2023..That's just April to June.. The entire Battlefield Franchise makes up for around $2.3 Billion per year which is significant, sure.. but at the end of the day you only matter if you're increasing their profit. If you're no longer profitable in the foreseeable future, you're canned... So essentially all your plan would do is force them to find a more profitable project if this franchise starts to effect the quarterly reports. Backing something into a corner leads to desperate reactions.

I don't usually watch Enders content because his tone does come off as disrespectful/condescending to the devs but I'm not sure EA banning his account was of any use other than to alienate the battlefield community without providing some transparency like you stated.
It’s something that started after bf1 and really took hold with the bf5 release. EA has always hated criticism and as long as there is now repercussions it will continue.
The thing with Enders is that it's a case of "Not what you say but how you say it". He has some valid points of constructive criticism, but due to his personality it comes out sideways. It is what it is.
People tend to forget that it’s Dice and EA they can literally ban you for any reason they want because it’s their game. The Enders situation is them trying to make an example out of him and your response silk is exactly what they are going for. They probably got fed up with the negativity and just started targeting anyone who criticizes the game.
Not surprised. Corporate censorship has been a thing for a while now and EA is one of the greediest and most controlling publishers in the entertainment industry. I stopped buying their products years ago, but I did decide to give them one last final chance with 2042 as I missed playing BF with my mates. Needless to say they blew it big time and I'm done with EA and all their subsidiaries. I thought it was gonna create a big hole in my gaming choices and initially Bioware was who I thought I would miss the most. But so far it hasn't seemed to affect me. With the exception of AC Valhalla and Breakpoint, I havent bought any Ubisoft games in years either. I have found that avoiding the big dogs has not only massively reduced my gaming dissatisfaction and frustration but also saved me a lot of money. There are so many other devs to choose from and so many indie teams making better games for literally a 1/3 to 1/2 the price of these big "AAA" devs. And pretty soon, AI will replace these pricks. Within a couple of years we will just be able to ask AI to make our own games exactly how we want them and we will be able to swap games with each other like trading cards. We'll be able to improve on them, add to them and modify them to our liking. People will start selling their own games on Etsy style marketplaces and cut out these giant corporations from the equation. As such, they will wither and die off and I cannot wait. Good riddance.
He has actually stated on multiple videos that he doesn't condone his followers harassing someone over his viewpoints in his videos. He can't control what people do after making that statement. People have to be their own police and practice their own form of restraint. He can't physically go to every single followers house and monitor them to make sure they aren't harassing people on his behalf. But, he has told them not to do it and he doesn't condone it.

I don't think critisizing the game will get you banned. It's when you go after the devs calling them incompetent and that they all should be fired it's becoming a problem. Critisize the game and company, but don't go after individuals.

yeah, that attitude of his is pretty annoying sometimes, and although with his hostility he got the points across (credit should be given where its due) I think he needs to tone it down a bit. having said that, he should be no stranger to these kind of consequences when you take criticism just a little too far, it's happened to other content creators. . perhaps in different scenarios, sure, but hostile behaviour was the same, or worse. it's bound to happen at some point. He should have known better.

I'm through with EA. Have bought pretty much every offering from them including all of the BF franchise. After 2042 I was VERY disappointed with what they thought was worth £70 and was just a poor beta. I'm done with buying anything EA now and this just seals my decision.

Baranox and Enders literally find a recoil bug, game developers could not find for months. If Enders does not care about this franchise he would have made a video and laughed at DICE. If you provide this studio with positive value (information about a bug or extremely positive content) you are a good guy but when you criticize them you are now getting banned. I don’t believe that Alex Furmoso shouldn’t be fired, but should be held accountable for certain statements and some of the methods they use to balance weapons, because the methods Alex and Dice use for balance is awful. Dice basically said that criticism from the best players means nothing because they’re not the average player. To give a bit of context on Alex Furmoso, he’s 2042s’ weapon designer and not too long ago he said he wanted to buff the G57, even though it’s clearly the best sidearm and outclasses a lot of primaries. Alex is clearly incompetent.

As someone who doesn't play 2042 or watch Enders, he shouldn't have called the dude out by name. Should have just said Devs or the weapon designer and left it at that. Bro rage baits for a living and got temp banned? A lot of this drama and defending is copium honestly.
Though I think Enders ban is a bit of a rash action by EA, he has been on record through his videos actively calling out devs and being pretty harsh on top of the feedback. I never found it to be offensive, but I'm a game developer, and for the most part when I hear content creators calling devs "brain dead" and "worthless at their jobs" I do feel like Dice are in their rights to take action. Granted, I stopped watching his vids a bit before June last year, so I couldn't say how his videos have evolved since. Devs adore feedback, and especially the kind that comes in gameplay form (like the Lis video you mentioned, quite enjoyed that one). I hope they can clarify their reasons for the ban, but less insults and more constructive criticism, I believe, lead to a healthier game.
This is the response I was expecting to see more of. Enders is quite toxic if you view his content from the outside and not as a fan. Doxing someone, even if it's just bring attention to a specific name, even if it's public; is uncalled for. Many think they're doing a good deed by calling out a specific individual but they don't know how their role truly works. Many ignore that every employee, including a CEO is beholden by someone else. Nobody has free reign to just do whatever updates they want. That's now how games or any business works.

My first time playing jet in a BF is in 2042. I have like 600hrs playing jet. It made me aware of soooooooooo many issues. not only on jets but the whole balancing. Why does a 30mm bullet shot from a jet deals less damage to a human body than a 9mm bullet shot from a pistol

This is what happens when games become all about the money. When a game is no longer a product for people to buy but a service for people to temporarily use. Due to videos making them look bad, and perhaps several particular devs specifically, they are acting in this manner. If you buy a product and it is not up to standard, you criticize it. You leave a review. You tell people that the product either does not work or could be improved. DICE is going into an area that it shouldn't, telling people who have paid for the product what they can or cannot say. Obviously if people go too far with their criticism they should be acted upon, but we all can see that this is not so with Enders. Even if he has been harsh in the past, I don't think Enders has gone to the point that such action should have been made against him. DICE made the wrong move, and we cannot let this become a precedent for the future of criticism against a game that we have bought.

You will never get banned for that, nor will you get banned for criticism. The thing that surprises me about your gameplay is that so few people are trying to shoot you down. If I get like 10 kills the other team will have a dedicated AA tank player and a rail gun tank and a bunch of lock on launchers targeting me the rest of the match.

Criticism is fine, but straight up targetting and calling out individuals isn't. I remember back in the day when i used to play BF3 religiously. I couldn't believe when they decided to remove the gunners flares from the attack heli, I raged so hard, got banned off battlelog forums for it lmao. It used to be a bad game for me, if i didn't get more than 80 kills - on 24 player Xbox 360 too. Now I think about it, I was mad I could no longer just farm noobs each game. CC's that play nothing but BF need to go and touch grass honestly, there's no excuse for this behaviour.
It is about the way you say something. Enders uses a very harsh way of talking about something. Everyone has the right to speak their mind, but in a respective way. A lot of content creators make video's they know will be popular and shitting on Battlefield is popular. Too be honest EA banning him is not the answer and is kind sad. Instead they should try to engage in a positive way with him, content creators and the community about problems in the game.

Seems like that is just what EA does. I was an active user in the BF3 Battlelog forum and one time when I was terribly annoyed by cheaters I said in a thread that their anticheat team is incompetent because masskill cheats were not detectable/banned at the time. At no point did I insult or harass the devs, just stating facts. Got a 30 day suspension from posting on the forums. That was in 2014. Requested an unban after 30 days and a EA person basically told me "nah we won't unban you, ever", so they never did and my BF3 profile on BL is still "hidden by Battlelog administrators". Similar situation, I was disliked by EA/DICE and at some point they took the opportunity to get rid of me, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Lol simple solution for you guys to beat DICE. Get a console preferably Xbox, get games pass on a main account and stream on a second, third or fourth account. You can even pass your console through a vpn and stop an IP ban :)
I believe his ban was from him not trashing the game, but for repeatedly calling for devs to lose their jobs... I think I even remember him calling some of them out by name in older videos. Say what you want about the game and EA, calling for people to lose their livelihoods is gross... The devs are not to blame, they are the ones who love the game and are doing everything to fix it. The game was rushed out and buggy because the higher ups wanted it to be released.
That’s a pretty near sighted view. Look at the big picture. The sales for the previous 2 battlefield games haven’t been good to say the least. It needs to improve drastically or EA will axe the series causing many at dice to lose their livelihoods. Weapon balance is definitely a factor in how enjoyable a game is, at least be honest with yourself. It’s terrible. The guy either needs to get better at balancing or find something else to do. It’s a harsh reality but it’s still reality.

No one has been doxing, calling action against the devs or team. If it's harassment saying your bad at your job... Maybe do a better job. Grow a thicker skin. There is one channel from a youtuber called Niccaman, he used to do a lot of flight videos from BF i loved the channel but then one of his last videos is called why did EA silence me? he did a few more videos after that critizicing BF2042 as not being good and has not uploaded any videos for a year now. Who knows what really happened.

I never even bought 2042 based on my experience with prior BF games and this was before I even knew who Enders was. All Enders does it call out objective facts about the state of BF gameplay. The devs fucked up and they know it. But, just like a cheating girlfriend, they don't want to keep hearing about it when they continue to fuck up. Get real.

I think it was 100% a targeted ban after Enders criticised the weapons designer. He called out a Dice employee by name (I can’t remember the name) but he is in charge of weapon balance and basically said that he’s terrible at his job. Hilarious & 100% true, but probably what got him the van.

@@entreri76x It's funny cause it's not really the base damage or the burst itself but the headshot ratio is HUGE for the gun. If 2 out of the 3 bullets hit the head it's a 1 burst kill. It's a bit much. Single fire the gun is quite balanced. But burst it's way too monstrous.

You underestimate EA. We (community) criticised the way Command & Conquer was being developed and EA shut down the 25 year franchise permanently.. I'd be picking your battles more carefully against them.. As Silk is doing here, You are dealing with a company that made $1.5 billion in the 2nd Quarter of 2023..That's just April to June.. The entire Battlefield Franchise makes up for around $2.3 Billion per year which is significant, sure.. but at the end of the day you only matter if you're increasing their profit. If you're no longer profitable in the foreseeable future, you're canned... So essentially all your plan would do is force them to find a more profitable project if this franchise starts to effect the quarterly reports. Backing something into a corner leads to desperate reactions.

Not surprised. Corporate censorship has been a thing for a while now and EA is one of the greediest and most controlling publishers in the entertainment industry. I stopped buying their products years ago, but I did decide to give them one last final chance with 2042 as I missed playing BF with my mates. Needless to say they blew it big time and I'm done with EA and all their subsidiaries. I thought it was gonna create a big hole in my gaming choices and initially Bioware was who I thought I would miss the most. But so far it hasn't seemed to affect me. With the exception of AC Valhalla and Breakpoint, I havent bought any Ubisoft games in years either.
I have found that avoiding the big dogs has not only massively reduced my gaming dissatisfaction and frustration but also saved me a lot of money. There are so many other devs to choose from and so many indie teams making better games for literally a 1/3 to 1/2 the price of these big "AAA" devs.
And pretty soon, AI will replace these pricks. Within a couple of years we will just be able to ask AI to make our own games exactly how we want them and we will be able to swap games with each other like trading cards. We'll be able to improve on them, add to them and modify them to our liking. People will start selling their own games on Etsy style marketplaces and cut out these giant corporations from the equation. As such, they will wither and die off and I cannot wait. Good riddance.

He has actually stated on multiple videos that he doesn't condone his followers harassing someone over his viewpoints in his videos. He can't control what people do after making that statement. People have to be their own police and practice their own form of restraint. He can't physically go to every single followers house and monitor them to make sure they aren't harassing people on his behalf. But, he has told them not to do it and he doesn't condone it.

I'm through with EA. Have bought pretty much every offering from them including all of the BF franchise. After 2042 I was VERY disappointed with what they thought was worth £70 and was just a poor beta. I'm done with buying anything EA now and this just seals my decision.

He essentially called out Alex Furmoso for being awful at their job and he deserves to be fired. I don’t believe that Alex Furmoso shouldn’t be fired, but should be held accountable for certain statements and some of the methods they use to balance weapons, because the methods Alex and Dice use for balance is awful. Dice basically said that criticism from the best players means nothing because they’re not the average player. To give a bit of context on Alex Furmoso, he’s 2042s’ weapon designer and not too long ago he said he wanted to buff the G57, even though it’s clearly the best sidearm and outclasses a lot of primaries. Alex is clearly incompetent.

As someone who doesn't play 2042 or watch Enders, he shouldn't have called the dude out by name. Should have just said Devs or the weapon designer and left it at that. Bro rage baits for a living and got temp banned? A lot of this drama and defending is copium honestly.
Though I think Enders ban is a bit of a rash action by EA, he has been on record through his videos actively calling out devs and being pretty harsh on top of the feedback. I never found it to be offensive, but I'm a game developer, and for the most part when I hear content creators calling devs "brain dead" and "worthless at their jobs" I do feel like Dice are in their rights to take action. Granted, I stopped watching his vids a bit before June last year, so I couldn't say how his videos have evolved since.
Devs adore feedback, and especially the kind that comes in gameplay form (like the Lis video you mentioned, quite enjoyed that one). I hope they can clarify their reasons for the ban, but less insults and more constructive criticism, I believe, lead to a healthier game.
This is the response I was expecting to see more of. Enders is quite toxic if you view his content from the outside and not as a fan. Doxing someone, even if it's just bring attention to a specific name, even if it's public; is uncalled for.
Many think they're doing a good deed by calling out a specific individual but they don't know how their role truly works. Many ignore that every employee, including a CEO is beholden by someone else. This is what happens when games become all about the money. When a game is no longer a product for people to buy but a service for people to temporarily use. Due to videos making them look bad, and perhaps several particular devs specifically, they are acting in this manner. If you buy a product and it is not up to standard, you criticize it. You leave a review. You tell people that the product either does not work or could be improved. DICE is going into an area that it shouldn't, telling people who have paid for the product what they can or cannot say. Obviously if people go too far with their criticism they should be acted upon, but we all can see that this is not so with Enders. Even if he has been harsh in the past, I don't think Enders has gone to the point that such action should have been made against him. DICE made the wrong move, and we cannot let this become a precedent for the future of criticism against a game that we have bought.
At this point, I would love it if another company made a battlefield clone that we can all move to. The whole community is just so sick of EA and DICE’s bs. Most of us are legacy fans and they just love to alienate us in the hopes that the Fortnite kids will replace the numbers. So sick of it.

The key difference between your lis video and Enders' latest video talking about the dev/g57 video is that you did it without the toxicity. You will never get banned for that, nor will you get banned for criticism. In the end, Enders rides the line with his persona (and yeah its fun to watch) but eventually his luck run out with that g57 vid, it was just a bit too targeted at an individual dev. No one here would tolerate that personality IRL so we really shouldn't pretend to be surprised that its finally copped a ban.
You talk about the big twitch streamers kinda being exempt from the 'rules' because they are the big money makers, and that really is the case here from DICE's perspective. The target market for EA/DICE is very much the casual console market, not people with a competitive streak, so no real loss to DICE to just ban him from the game.

I remember back in the day when i used to play BF3 religiously. I couldn't believe when they decided to remove the gunners flares from the attack heli, I raged so hard, got banned off battlelog forums for it lmao. It used to be a bad game for me, if i didn't get more than 80 kills - on 24 player Xbox 360 too. Now I think about it, I was mad I could no longer just farm noobs each game. CC's that play nothing but BF need to go and touch grass honestly, there's no excuse for this behaviour.

It seems EA/DICE just does not know what they doing, every-time they do this kind of shit , the hole they dig gets deeper and deeper, They end up been a bigger villain . Seems like that is just what EA does. I was an active user in the BF3 Battlelog forum and one time when I was terribly annoyed by cheaters I said in a thread that their anticheat team is incompetent because masskill cheats were not detectable/banned at the time. At no point did I insult or harass the devs, just stating facts. Got a 30 day suspension from posting on the forums. That was in 2014. Requested an unban after 30 days and a EA person basically told me "nah we won't unban you, ever", so they never did and my BF3 profile on BL is still "hidden by Battlelog administrators". Similar situation, I was disliked by EA/DICE and at some point they took the opportunity to get rid of me, for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

I believe his ban was from him not trashing the game, but for repeatedly calling for devs to lose their jobs... I think I even remember him calling some of them out by name in older videos. Say what you want about the game and EA, calling for people to lose their livelihoods is gross... The devs are not to blame, they are the ones who love the game and are doing everything to fix it. The game was rushed out and buggy because the higher ups wanted it to be released.
That’s a pretty near sighted view. Look at the big picture. The sales for the previous 2 battlefield games haven’t been good to say the least. It needs to improve drastically or EA will axe the series causing many at dice to lose their livelihoods. Weapon balance is definitely a factor in how enjoyable a game is, at least be honest with yourself. It’s terrible. The guy either needs to get better at balancing or find something else to do. It’s a harsh reality but it’s still reality.

@@rlsjunior797 its pretty near-sighted to say hes a major reason for the game's failure. There's hundreds of people that work at DICE. Gun balance was the least of their worries when the game released. Clearly its not an easy job, otherwise it would be great, right?

The ban is 100% bullshit. Only makes EA/Dice look like the aholes. It will probably make Enders grow his channel more then anything. LOL How hard would it have been for the community managers to reach out to Enders first and explain what they are not liking. He'd most likely would of took their feedback on board and toned it down a little. Maybe, but that should always be the first action taken. Communication.

Look at COD right now. Nick Mercs trashed the game to oblivion, and even switched to another game (Apex) and they just gave him his own in game operator skin.

It's scary and dumb. Dice have been incompetent and making wrong decisions, their work must be allowed to be criticized.

The weapons "expert" is just the best example of doing the exact opposite what the game needed. His statements, by his own name in Twitter and on the official streams show a bias that is bad for the game. Higher ups are letting him do it but that's another thing.
No one has been doxing, calling action against the devs or team. If it's harassment saying your bad at your job... Maybe do a better job. Grow a thicker skin.
Game's been fun with friends despite its problems. Many issues are still there, being pointed out near daily by many creators. Is EA and Dice going to go full Nintendo and silence them? That's going to hurt their profit in the long run.
Don't back down. Be a voice and use your platform for a use, we wish we had that opportunity, but we don't.

Yes, he expressed dissatisfaction with what EA/ Dice did. But he then went on to say he will be censoring himself and being careful what he says. So it doesn’t look like he’s stood up to it at all.
The thing is, where is the 'freedom of speech'? Everyone has a right to criticise. This to me indicates a frightening future where we will no longer be able to give our opinion unless it's the opinion people WANT to hear. EA wouldn't be able to have made the game better without the criticism. It would still be a piece of s**t otherwise.

i think EA need to focus on producing a better game and not worry about whats said on multiple platforms. I haven't pre-ordered a game since BF4.
Best thing to do is just skip and not purchase their shelf ware. They don´t give a fuck after you paid up. Cheaters stream without being punished, it´s condoned.

There is one channel from a youtuber called Niccaman, he used to do a lot of flight videos from BF i loved the channel but then one of his last videos is called why did EA silence me? he did a few more videos after that critizicing BF2042 as not being good and has not uploaded any videos for a year now. Who knows what really happened.
Guys, listen he deserved getting banned. He agreed for not harrasing anyone, you do too while creating an EA account. He agressively attacked 1 individual and played the victim afterwards. This is not tragetted ban its a desrved one and they still given him the chnace to say sorry he instead played the victim as I said.
