Promises are only made by God Himself never by man throughout all the Sciptures except, Nehemiah 5:23 and Joshua 9:21, where man made a promise for a negative outcome. So, we see from Scripture man’s promises result in a bad outcome. Beware of the promises made to you by man saying, I promise, in behalf of the God of Jacob, the Scriptures warn us. ...the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation...(2 Timothy 3:15) If ye love me, keep my commandments. (John 14:15)
