- NASes are something more people should have in their houses.
But a tiny NAS like this one is an interesting proposition. It makes use of both SATA & NVMe SSDs and comes with Unraid!

What configuration do you recommend? 2 ssd for parity and the nvme’s in a pool?
Depends on what you can afford and need out of a NAS.
Some people just want ultra fast storage so they go in with no parity. Others have important data they'd like to preserve so they have one drive be the drive and every other drive be a backup copy.
Parity is generally a good idea. Just keep in mind that your parity drive pool needs to be equal to or larger than your main storage pool in Unraid.
Thanks for clarification 🙏🏻
What about the using pool instead of disc? Don’t see the reason for using cache when it’s already high speed drives
Cache is more for NASes that use mechanical hard drives.
My NAS is a 2013 Macbook Pro, so technically all-SSD lol
Technically correct
You can buy thunderbolt to dual NVME adapters too. I'm planning to make my ancient Mac Mini a NAS this way..
yeah man Docker, VMs, 4K streaming all with baked in licensed unraid, set up in 5 minutes is a killer home lab box. I just set one up with 4TB NVME's. But dude you need some NVMEs to do a proper review. This kills my 2015 ReadyNAS build with 4, 4TB mechanical disks with ARM processor. LTT hated the Celeron and so do I but for an ASAP build this thing is awesome.
Yeah I'll need to stock up on some NVMEs when I can.
Waiting for a sale so I can snatch some on the cheap
Why go to the expense of having an M.2 NAS and cripple it with poor networking connectivity? Not even 2x2.5GbE. That sux. And if your definition of 258/MB/s Read/Write is CRUSHING IT, then we're on really different wavelengths as to what an M.2 NASes performance should be.
That Intro Sounds are hurt with headphones :(

Correction, there is a fan in this N1. I know because I took apart mine and mod it to totally fanless.
And a recent new Bios update posted this week should quiet the fan down a bit when under load. I updated mine but I wouldn't know cause mine already fanless and ugly looking after the mod. 😂
We'd like to see your DIY LincStation in the group😆
@@Lincplus-Tech, I posted my pics in of modded N1 at your Indiegogo discussion page. Check it out. 😊
I also acquired this device and I find the fan to be quite loud. Did you replace the fan with what? Does it throttle without the fan?
