You can for sure cook gold leaf. It's melting point is over 1000c. But I'm 99% certain they cooked the base pizza, then layered on the gold leaf,caviar, truffle and foiegra. That's why it's stone cold. Also, squid ink and gold have 0 flavor, and are very fkn cheap to buy. Total rip off

Expensive pizza always steers the wrong way for me. Specifically because of the effort involved in making good pizza dough and assembling the toppings. What you paid for is an expensive cracker with all kinds of expensive items on it and not a pizza. The Dough looked flat and the elements not well binded. For a luxury food item, it looked disgusting. You put that side by side with a 20 Dollar cheese pie and the most appealing factor to trying it is the price.
