  • 2018 Hyundai Elantra Crash Damage Repair Part 1
In this video we conduct the assessment of the crash damage on a 2018 Hyundai Elantra SE to try and help a friend save some money. We are doing the initial parts list to make the car at least ambulatory so we can then repair the rest of the sheet metal to get the car back on the road.
Thanks to Burke over at the ‪@RoadOdyssey‬ channel for bringing a project that helps someone save some money they didn't have.

Family member related to Road Odyssey. So much thanks to Bryan for looking the car over and initiating repairs. Much appreciated.

Wow, it looked a lot worse. I'm glad the suspension wasn't too bad and the frame is still in tact. Good luck on the repair!

The next vid on this one shows how simple some cars can be with plug and play parts replacement...once I finish the vid of course. Thanks for watching Brother!

Ugh, hate to hear that on the insurance side but I've been there before when my daughter kissed a rear end of a truck. No damage to him but it made a mess of the my wife's car. Instead of making a claim, I told my daughter she can buy the parts and we'll do the repair ourselves. Funny, it was also a Hyundai. She worked with me on the whole repair before her Mom came back from a trip so she never knew it happened. LOL. Good learning experience for her. Thank God she loves working on stuff with tools. This will be a fun series. Thanks for sharing!

Sorry that happened but I'm sure she learned a valuable lesson. Thanks for sharing and glad she got some shop time with dad through it at least.

Pretty crazy how well together the suspension looks. I figured you would be ripping everything out but there is a lot of good left in that passenger side

I'll bet the impact couldn't have been any closer than an inch from crushing that whole corner.

I'm going to try to make the videos on this one goal specific so I hope they'll be more focused.

"Fender bender." Yep, those are the words I'd use. It'll buff out, right? I'll admit, seeing it at first, I figured things would be more extensive.

Surprised me too but it isn't done yet (let's hope nothing is hidden).😳

Heat the tie rod you might get it straightened enough to move it easily

I have the new parts now and I don't think it'll take too long to change out.
