Cheers David. Yes it was getting a bit dry in places, which is bonkers for this time of year. Luckily, although the rain stopped during the recording the video, the runoff from next door continued for a couple of hours & now the canal is full.to the top once more. We're both looking forward to hunting those snakeheads. We've not done a nighttime standing hook video for over a year!
Hey Toon and Leigh, great walk around and good to see that rain. It's not nice to wish the goats to be wet so much, but you can use the water. I remember how hard your grown is during the dryer season. I think that's when you really have to work the farm. Good thing you like it as much as you do. ❤
@@theadventuresofbrockinthai4325 hopefully the increased capacity in the drainage canal will help us through the next 3 years of predicted drought. Fingers crossed 🤞
@@donjordan8174 brilliant news that. We all need to try & hold on to as much water as we can if the weather experts are right about the next few years.
Wowzers! It's just started again here. We're really hoping for a week or so of this. Our fishing lake is still about 2-3ft down compared to where it usually is at this time of year.......fingers crossed 🤞
Great update video toon and leigh Really looking forward to the camp out video in the new hut etc please make a lengthy one with all activities included. All the best ❤
I still love her, just not as much as the others lol. Joking aside mate, she's a proper goat. She won't be the biggest but she's proper chunky. Perfect for the future of our herd.
All good to date thanks mate. None have gone over the retaining wall. It's the reason we selected the nearest pond to the house to grow them. The land is higher there than any other pond. It's the main thing that the Fisheries Department of Thailand look at when they come out for an assessment.
Love a walk around. As you mentioned about the other animals that reside on the land, how many of those giant centipedes have you come across over the years?
Excellent to hear that thanks mate. Yeah we see a fair few of those horrible things here on the farm. If we had chickens & ducks running all over the place we'd probably never see another one 🤣
That was an awesome video Ryan! You sure have captured the essence of the beautiful place! Thanks so much for sharing and cannot wait to watch your next video 😊
I wholeheartedly agree with you. It was a real driving force behind developing our canal so we could take advantage of any stormwater runoff from neighbouring farms.
We record one about 4 years ago when we were allowed to take out the old timbers. I'll have a look to see if I can track it down & post it's link......
I’ll have you know I paid 200b for that how dare you cast me off as a Cheap Charlie !!! 😮 and what have you done with the other 2 😢!! Probably used them as rain catching devices 🙈 Good catch up Leigh 👍 always like a good wander round the farm 🍻
No, the two smaller ones that Toon recommend, & were cheaper, are still going strong. This sort of outcome is bound to happen when you choose to ignore the one who should be obeyed 🤣
Don't they sell proper fisherman's brolly's over there Leigh .Ignore that Daft Question mate 🤦♂The water on the property is so inviting for a bloke who wants to Float fish with a Waggler 🎣Me weeks later 'Toon 'When you going to F***ing pay for fishing Thai licence Geno let alone the Som tam you was eating like it was going out of Fashion ''🤦♂Mate all joking aside ,Your land is bloody brilliant 👍Love to you both ❤Won't mention my love of Goats since i first started watching you guys 🤦♂
Brilliant mate lol. Yes you can get some pukka fishing umbrellas out here but they're a bit pricey! Happy to see you think the same as me about the waggler fishing. I do enjoy occasionally using the feeder & ball up in the water on a bung, but it gets tiresome easily for me. The waggler is my go to method so having a lake & species that suit it's approach is a match made in heaven to me. Now the poles aren't so much of an option (unless you fish super fine for the barbs) Toon has got into waggler fishing to.

Asian Golden Weaver nests.. Nice birds.
Top spotting thanks. We're lucky to have that spiky tall weed. We've noticed they prefer to make their nests high up over water.
Great to see some rain finally.
Look forward to the snakehead standing hook video.

Nice one Mark Twitcher ⭐

Always great watching the animals???
Thanks Robert. Yep, Porpeang farm wouldn't be the same without them.

The rain is great but the market not happy 😢
Absolutely. Our local market floods regularly & the stall holders takings stuffer badly.
But thay strong people thsy just get onwith things stay safe
They say this lack of rain will last 3 years due to the gulf stream. We must prepare as best we can ay!

We had light rain for most of last night. We'll take whatever we can get these days.
