I know this is old...but why take the rifle down from your shoulder when you work the action? Use the recoil to work the lever and you have a lovely fast action...
First off pushing a round in with another round will not set off a primer DUH. This is the fastest way to load a lever gun. You need to work the lever with authority not like your going to break it off if you use force. I have one of these rifles and it is a good copy of an 1892 winchester. While it has a few quirks, it operates very well little felt recoil and is a pretty accurate gun to around 200 yards. Of course you have to figure out the ladder sight. With practice you can hit a gong out to 500. The 44 mag will kill a deer or hog out to 200 yards if the bullet is placed in the boiler factory. The gun can be maintained at the shoulder while working the lever and reloading. It is very fast to dump 11 rounds. Almost as fast as a semi auto if you care about getting sights back on target.
... love the Chiappa 92s ... smooth & slick outa the box with no unnecessary safeties, rebounding hammers and the suchlike ... true to the original John Moses Browning design
Thanks for the video guys, it's a nice rifle and I certainly appreciate the effort you went to. Have to say, though, that the loading and cycling was painful to watch. With a little more experience with the rifle you'd probably find that it's buttery smooth to load, cycle, and shoot. Place the butt against your waist or thigh, grip the barrel and forestock with your left hand, load with your right, and don't push the round all the way in with your finger. Loading is generally pretty easy. I'd also recommend practising leaving the rifle at your shoulder while you shoot and cycle; watching the slow and laborious process of shouldering, aiming, shooting, dropping the rifle, looking down at it, cycling (awkwardly), shouldering, aiming, shooting etc etc was also a bit painful...
I'm glad you regulars can still have something that can hold more than 5 rounds. It looks pretty new, good lubricant and it shall run smoothly in good time.
Saddle rings are so a mounted soldier could tether his rifle to the saddle so he's never separated from his rifle in combat. Beautiful little rifle, and very hard to get ahold of one in 357. I want one. I've been searching online for years for one and can only find it in 44 mag, and 44 mag ammo has been unavailable for years now
Love the Chiappa 92.... these come WITHOUT that LAME import safety found on the Rossi bolt or the Winchester tang.... they come fairly smooth to operate and only get better with time... no checkering to get bumped or damaged as well. Best reproduction on the market... ( Have a suspicion they are made by Uberti anyway )... you can tell an Aussie trying to be an Anmerican Cowboy by loading each cartridge clear length instead of half way pushing each cartridge in with the next one.
"Just a bit fiddly" ...excellent. You gents need to cross the Atlantic and let your cousins show you how to run a Winchester! We'll get that loop stretched for ya and before you know it you'll be spinnin' that sucker like Chuck Connors!
Come to Idaho, any twelve year old girl here will show you how to operate and shoot a Winchester repeater properly. Since we are an open carry state, we also can show you how to carry and draw a Colt Peacennaker with skill and speed.
As a lefty I'll tell you that the only guns I can't use are bullpups because I'll be eating shells the whole time lol. Everything else just takes a little practice. Lever guns are easy to get used to
the revolver, the lever gun, the mauser, the 1911...some guns will never be out of style. Anyone who's never had any interest in lever guns because they're old tech and uncool, I don't see how their opinion wouldn't change after some range time. Lever guns are a blast.
Nice try, don’t mind the rude remarks, someone always has to bitch. The fact that you tried something new, is a plus and enjoyed doing it, is what counts. Going out, especially with friends and having a good time (with guns) is what’s its all about. NOTE: the ‘92 is the best for “Lefty’s”, better then the side ejection models, ejects straight up and out. A lill practice and you’ll be fine, be careful though, “Levers” are addictive, worse then crack. 👍🏼🤠
So this is a modern reproduction of the 1892 and they didnt add some stupid safety? Why cant the other companies making these things learn something from that?
Good try. Don't take this wrong but if you are going review an item, do something to educate yourself on simple nomenclature. That way you at least sound like you know what you are talking about.
You can see that you are uncomfortable shooting the rifle, the way you lower the rifle for each shot. It looks as though you were shooting an old daisy BB gun, with a heavy spring.. My Chiappa loads and fires with a simple opening and closing the right hand, and always sighting down the barrel.
Dont push the shell all the way in before you losd another one. Use that lever with authority and don't take it off upir shoulder, and last bit not least get the chiapas trapper skinner in 45 70. Then you'll have a rifle not a pop gun.
@@cs-rj8ru in my opinion the 357 is a little light. I know of more than one deer poached with a 22 and a 22 mag but I wouldmt use them unless I was starving. My favorites are the 30 30 winchester and the 32 special. The 45 70 packs a wallop at both ends but, it's too much gun for white tail and too little gun for grizzly.
Love these rifles, very nice video and I would love to see a Rack review of the walther under lever winchester 88g co2 pellet shooter, what does thou say Mr Racknload? love your video's Mr and hope you have a super Halloween. ;-)
I guess you've never watch a Hickock45 video... you'd have known how to load it.. ;)

Couldn't have said it better myself. I have one in .357 and I love it.

Do you always have trouble getting in the hole????

Very old video dude and a brand new loan gun that I was being extra careful with.
John Wayne, you're not.
Love your pommy reviews!! Classic mate!! Greetings from darwin in the Northern Territory 👍👊👍
I'm glad you regulars can still have something that can hold more than 5 rounds. It looks pretty new, good lubricant and it shall run smoothly in good time.
I don't think they can have anything now, due to communist rule
They really haven't changed at all, still making em 120 years later!
If you had watched a video about this, you would have known how to use the loading gate and how to reload the rifle properly from the shoulder...

What country are you in? I see them fairly often in 357 here in the US
.44 Mag is expensive as hell here. 50 rounds box of Federal is 99$ 😢

Close the lever! Never shot a lever gun before huh?

I like your review. I just won one of these in 44 mag. Going to try the Hornady revolution in it.
Saddle ring goes on a sling meant more as a design for a soldier to carry it on your back while mounted

Mate, as a left handed shooter, I'm not a fan of lever action rifles but cheers for the offer!
Yes it is because he is left handed and there are repeating arms out there for lefties, just not in a lever action.
As a lefty I'll tell you that the only guns I can't use are bullpups because I'll be eating shells the whole time lol. Everything else just takes a little practice. Lever guns are easy to get used to
The saddle ring is for a single point sling. Basically a loop of leather or webbing with a hanger. Search google for "cavalry sling"

Yeah guess so. Wish I could buy a new G98 Carbine repro today.
6:40 That would be the butt plate.
Enjoyed your video nice outdoor feature of a nice little western saddle carbine in it's natural element.
Nice rifle. How accurate is it?
That's not a wadcutter bullet. Flat point is a better description. Also not a semi wadcutter as there is no cutting shoulder.

Ok so you got an owners manual.... let's see the dang rifle...🤣🤣🤣
What kind of hoops do you have to go through to purchase this in the UK?
+BFerry10 Just need a firearms license.
What flaming hoops do you have to go through to get one of those.
Maybe a few more tattoos will help. You might want to stay with black rifles. Lever actions aren't for everyone.
rack the lever you will not break it, they are designed to be racked with authority. Levers are the best.
Great review as always :-)
Antique guns are for real man you know….😁😂
Green Horns
Nice bracelet 🤣

plaid13 Lawyers.....

Lol! What are you on about? I'll just check your channel to get some advice on how to review..... Standby....... Oh, hmmmm.....

lol I wouldn't call a Chiappa 1892 a pop gun. Younger brother has killed a couple nice bucks including a monster with his 357.

Mines 44 mag. Only I would have had 4 boxes through it by the time you got it loaded the first time! Haha!!
I agree lol!
subbed rack
Mieridlá sa síce podobajú originálu,ale sú veľmi nekvalitne vyrobené.
Leevers action? It's leveraction.
when you say ''Fever'' do you say Fevver'' or feever?
Man you just don't know how to load that thing! Push each cartridge against the previous one! Primer won't detonate!
Tenderfoot
Not with the Mrs....
Embarrassing.
What about?
Its pronounced lever action!
😂😉
fever is pronounced feever ,not Fevver, hahahahah twit

+Bat man Cheers buddy, I'll see if I can get hold of one. ATB, Rack
the AK47 of the old west love that rifel.
Friend, you don't know how to load the rifle ...
It went 'bang' when I pulled the trigger????
id be scared to fire that .....
Great fun gun, I really like them
