I LOVE how you take Baileys feelings into consideration as well! That dopey anti-shed suit..when you said "Bailey doesn't look happy, I'd rather have hair in the house then have her unhappy" that hit home..and the bug zapper scaring her, lol..aww!
Not saying that I would use it because it looks so stupid. But if you're a person whose dog wears sweaters or you make your dog wear it for a while they might get used to it. My dog absolutely hated both her collar and her harness when I first put them on her. But now she'll run right over when I get her harness and tell her to get dressed.
Re: Stainless steel soap, I just use the inside of my stainless steel kitchen sink. No onion/garlic smell after I rub my hands. Didn't cost me anything either.
@Freakin' Reviews Thanks for the updates, James! I started off watching 4 or 5 different kitchen and household products review channels a couple of years ago, but you're the only one I still watch. I respect that you look at the instructions, and *wash* kitchen items before using them. Sorry that you're missing travel. Stay safe! Wishing you and your loved ones safety, peace, and as much lighthearted laughter as you can get in these crazy times. Love, from Canada 💕🇨🇦
It's been a year already??? It doesn't seem that long since the Golden Good Girl modeled those long johns LOL. I never get tired of seeing Bailey. "I'd rather have fur in my house than have you unhappy." You are almost as good a reviewer as you are doggy dad :-)
The only reviewing channel i love watching this guys really puts efforts in i always say "oh what if he did that or this " and i find out while watching that he thought about it and included it in his video with updates for more accuracy really thank you for making these videos you're saving lives during this quarantine
Thanks, James! I really appreciate your great videos! My go to can opener is a plug-in countertop Hamilton Beach smooth/side cut. I’ve been using it for about 8 years now with no problems. A cool thing is that the lid can be put back on a partially used can with an airtight seal. I don’t have to dirty a plastic container to put it in my refrigerator.
I bought the steel bar of soap just because of your info about the product . I work with spices all day every day and this bar has really helped to remove the onion and garlic smell from my hands .
I actually bought the metal straws and groceries hooks at your recommendation. Extremely happy with both. The straws stay clean long time, not hard to clean when not, never break. Only took a short while to get over the fear of stabbing myself in the eye. I live in an upstair apartment. You and the grocery hooks have saved me hours climbing from my truck to my door. It's funny how little things that cost almost nothing, can become so useful. Thanks.
I think of these as "clip shows" like TV shows used to do. I get weirdly nostalgic; "I remember when he reviewed that!" Bailey in the cap is gold. Hope you and yours are weathering the covid storm well!
Your love for bailey is beautiful! You've got a product that works but you don't want to use it cause it scares bailey. So sweet! Also love your videos so much, great reviews! Love from the Uk
What was that? LOL, so strange looking. I watched those parts several times and couldn't decide if there was really a tiger suited person in that car, or if it was an odd reflection.
Some great gadgets! I might invest in the nostalgia snow cone maker for my granddaughters. I actually bought the super sponge mat after your original review and I love it!
Its funny that the bag clips are the one thing he didn't keep using from that episode. It seems like the thing he was most excited about. I was actually thinking about getting some because I hate when I put the bags down to open the gate and I can't get them all back onto my hand again.
I know you didn't use it much, but I think the car mattress could be handy if you do a lot of road tripping - you could pull over at a rest stop and take a quick nap and drive safer - or possibly for dogs. Or, tbh, if you're homeless.
If your sink & faucet are actual stainless steel, you can just rub your hands on the faucet part & it does the same thing as the stainless steel soap. 9:52
Who'd have thought that an expensive tech gadget that "promotes relaxation and well being" didn't end up being useful? But now I can put that $300 you saved me towards a Juicero.
I don't usually go for "gadgets," but am occaisionally tempted to buy. I really appreciate this one year later review, as "will I still be using it in a year?" is a great criteria for how usefull a product is- otherwise it's just taking up storage space. (There's an "as seen on tv" french-fry cutter in my cupboard that has seen a lot of action over the past 7 years, and I dread the day it breaks.)
Love these updates! I needed a doormat. I decided on the Super Sponge, based on your review. I have been very happy with it. Even my "oh so particular" daughter likes it! A little side bonus for me, it matches the tile in my foyer perfectly! Thanks! Stay safe!!
Now THIS was a useful video. Consider how to “prescreen” dumb gadgets to achieve a higher success rate of those worth reviewing, those most likely to succeed. Based on your experience, we welcome your opinion about gadgets probably not worth testing so you can focus on testing only the most promising gadgets. Your product comparisons are the most helpful for us.
My dogs are afraid of a bug zapper too. I had to get rid of it, because they wouldn't go out on the patio to relieve themselves when it was on. Scared them and like you, my dogs' comfort comes first.
That's true. What's interesting is I recently bought two cans of cream of chicken. Same brand, same size - on the store shelf right next to each other. One had a pull top and one didn't. I still haven't figured that one out.
Those glasses are brilliant! Need to get some for me and my father. My dad always keeps his reading glasses in a case with his phone so that's a perfect match!
You can actually rub your hands on your stainless steel faucet for free rather than pay for steel soap. I always do it after chopping garlic, works every time.
I have those car LED strips (or ones almost identical) in two different vehicles and the best way to install them is with the cables running hidden under the car door sill then up from behind the steering column or glovebox for the driver's and passenger's sides respectively. That way the cables are well hidden and tucked away and they end up coming in from above instead of below the foot well so they don't get in the way of your feet.
My dad uses that first one in the can opener line, the handy can? He only has use of one hand and loves the thing. I myself adore my fur wizard. This year so far the wow bacon is WAY out front for product of the year in my book.
honestly I've been using the airwirl to cool down my pc when I had to get a replacement fan and even after it was replaced,it worked pretty well and I still use it for a quicker cool down if I run it for too long working,it was pretty good because i used the tube to angle directly onto the hottest components
We put a Monster Zapper in our kitchen on top of the fridge and it works awesome keeping the bugs down especially the Flies. I hate Flies in my house. They just won't leave you alone. Then the added bonus being in the Kitchen is it keeps the Fruit Flies dead on arrival.
For that air cooler it is your basic fan powered evaporative cooler aka a swamp cooler. It can drop temps but only by a few degrees. If you want an explaimstion video Technology Connections uploaded as video today talking about those personal coolers. Other than that you never said if you actually tried those blue lenses again? Does it help? Do.l you get used to it? Great videos, love to the family including Bailey.
full size swamp coolers can do much better if the air is dry like in the desert upwards of 40F cooler central air is still better as swamp coolers are for poor people...
I always appreciate these follow up videos to see how useful these items are over time. It seems like your graveyard must be filling up as most items reviewed recently did not get much use.
So a stainless steel soap works, it will get rid of food odors on your hands, but if you have a stainless steel sink, you can use that instead of buying the soap.
I don’t own a computer so my Bluetooth keyboard is everything to me! Hooks up to my phone easily and quickly! I can’t remember the brand I got, I think it’s Logitech (something like soft touch, or similar) and cost a whopping $80 but totally worth it. Have used it for about 5 years and have only needed to charge it once. Thank you for reminding me about my sno-come maker! Totally forgot I had one and the days are quite hot here in Colorado! Always look forward to your videos! Many thanks!
We had a large zapper like that one and we couldn't run it when our long hair Chihuahua was in the house (we used it in summer when flies came in) - he definitely didn't like it. We thought it must have made a high sound that we couldn't hear, because he didn't like it even when it wasn't zapping! Interesting that Bailey didn't like it either!
10:1910:19 I quit using the steel straws. I kept spilling my drinks. Reaching for things the straw didn't bend. So I went back to plastic straws. I wash the plastic straws and last me a long time. I know, I could just move my drinks. But I use a small bedside table and put my water on it with a straw.
for the grocery bag holder clips, what I do, and what I have done for a long time, is take an extra bag or 2, after bagging my groceries at self check out, and place em in my back, drive home, open trunk, then I take the extra bag, pull it into a rope'ish form, and just tie it throw the bag handles of my groceries, leaving enough room for 3-4 fingers or so, and that's worked for me for a very long time.
That dog for thing would just make your dog miserable I could totally understand why you would not want to have her in it. It might be good for something like if it's really cold outside and you're camping to keep her warm if need be but that's about it
I love my black and decker hands free canopener. I can tend to my stove while its doing the work.. down side you have to clean it. Its not hard to clean though.
James, I suspect that this point was probably made to you on the original review, but the "Monster Trapper" is NOT supposed to zap bugs ... it's supposed to trap them so that they eventually dry out and die. I have a superior version of that concept (made by Dynatrap) that works phenomenally well! I have a 1-acre unit in the backyard and a 1/2-acre unit in the front - couldn't be happier with them! The "Monster Zapper" probably worked better than the "Trapper" because it appears to have a brighter and larger light. Of course, the fact that Bailey is afraid of it is a game changer... ;-)
I bought a couple of flimsy little phone stands that are similar and 3D printed. I use one every day, they are so very handy. I paid less than a dollar for each of them.
You know what is a nostalgic snow cone maker for me is the original Snoopy and Woodstock snow cone maker. Has anyone else ever owned one of those? It has a snow cone grinder in the middle that you turn by hand with the crank and then there is Snoopy outside laying on his doghouse and leaning up against the dog house is a little red shovel that looks like a snow shovel and it's made so you could scoop out the snow cones. I used to love that thing when I was little.
Do you not have the the spoon straws @17:57 at 7-11? In B.C. they have been the standard Slurpee straw forever (or at least as long as 7-11 has been around here).
I have the nostalgia snow cone for years, the only issue with it is that the blades eat away the rubber band in the mechanism. So sometimes I'm eating ice with rubber....
Kudos to you for being one dedicated reviewer. Showing a year after use is extremely helpful.
He is a professional. I have been watching him for many moons. 😁
Yes definitely, always nice to see if a product actually works long term
Totally agree.
The scoop straws remind me of the Slurpie
@Arrow Head I think it was meant in a good way.
I never realized how addicted to this guys channel i was until I remembered watching every single one of the original reviews in this update video
I LOVE how you take Baileys feelings into consideration as well! That dopey anti-shed suit..when you said "Bailey doesn't look happy, I'd rather have hair in the house then have her unhappy" that hit home..and the bug zapper scaring her, lol..aww!
Renee Brady same!!!
Not to mention that it looks like a real hassle to put on the dog...
This channel is really the golden standard for product reviews. So thorough and professional yet always enjoyable and funny.
Re: Stainless steel soap, I just use the inside of my stainless steel kitchen sink. No onion/garlic smell after I rub my hands. Didn't cost me anything either.
I use a stainless steel spoon or one of my measuring cups. They work great!
Other than the cost of your house!
Bailey looked like she was suffering in those red long Johns. 🐕
She’s not a LuLuLemon kinda girl.
@Freakin' Reviews Thanks for the updates, James! I started off watching 4 or 5 different kitchen and household products review channels a couple of years ago, but you're the only one I still watch. I'd rather have fur on my furniture than make bailey unhappy..feels😍
Love seeing the updates like this, and SICK Mutemath shirt at 5:21! It's always good to see Bailey too. Thanks for more fun content!
That's a great band!

Came for the reviews, stayed for the reviews, but mostly here for the Bailey content! She’s too adorable😍
Bailey looks about as happy as my dog Star does wearing her Thundershirt during fireworks or thunderstorms!
I've used the metal straws, & metal soap bar for years. Love them!
Thanks, James! I really appreciate your great videos! My go to can opener is a plug-in countertop Hamilton Beach smooth/side cut. I’ve been using it for about 8 years now with no problems. I swear it looks like someone's in the other car wearing a tiger suit. 😂
What was that? LOL, so strange looking.
I watched those parts several times and couldn't decide if there was really a tiger suited person in that car, or if it was an odd reflection.
i was scrolling to see if anyone else saw that! (at 10:15)
It's his own reflection but it's still odd how it reflects off his camera to both his car window and car next to him car's window😂💩😂
@@richiethev4623 i thought that at first but he doesn't have black stripes on his shirt. and the other person moves different at different times
@@kn3765 I suspect it's the polarisation on the windows being slightly offset.
10:08 Bailey was soooo adorable!!
I have an idea for a video you might make, top five items if they were to break I would buy again
Good idea, i would watch that

"I'd rather have fur in my house then have you (Bailey) unhappy" Omg love that statement! True dog love ♥️
But not gotten lie, she does look cute though.

I think he gets surprised pretty often by gadgets he thinks will stink, but turn out working.
Dmoke
I see where you're coming from, but I think that part of what makes this channel so fun is seeing these gadgets fail spectacularly.
I'd rather have fur in my house and have you happy. Aww we love you Bailey.
These update videos make me feel like time is flying by. It feels like I just watched the original uploads yesterday 😬
My dogs are afraid of a bug zapper too. I had to get rid of it, because they wouldn't go out on the patio to relieve themselves when it was on. Scared them and like you, my dogs' comfort comes first.
Thanks for the update on the previous items that you made and the ones you continued to use.
The fact you can use regular ice makes it better than most. The kind I'm not fond of are the ones that give a mold to freeze.
Wow i dident even know that you did this 1yr things!! Keep it up man!
I'll do my best! Thanks!
Love to see a new video
Love the vids to survive lockdown
I honestly love your reviews
I love your videos you have so much passion and I can’t say that about many people lately
Bailey is lucky to have you. Your a good poppa
I have the Black and Decker hands free ,Love it ,going strong since 2008
Yeah mine is about that old and still going strong.
10:15 Tony the tiger sitting in the car next to you in the passenger seat???? LMAO
Always enjoyed your work. Your doing a great job. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
I really love watching you review stuff. You're the review king.

I bought a pair of thinoptics when I needed readers. It sits in my bag nicely.

for the grocery bag holder clips, what I do, and what I have done for a long time, is take an extra bag or 2, after bagging my groceries at self check out, and place em in my back, drive home, open trunk, then I take the extra bag, pull it into a rope'ish form, and just tie it throw the bag handles of my groceries, leaving enough room for 3-4 fingers or so, and that's worked for me for a very long time.

For shaved ice I'll just continue to use my Snoopy Sno-Cone maker from the 80s. Nothing worked better and the syrup dispenser was way cooler!

I love my black and decker hands free canopener. I can tend to my stove while its doing the work.. down side you have to clean it. Its not hard to clean though.

James,
I suspect that this point was probably made to you on the original review, but the "Monster Trapper" is NOT supposed to zap bugs ... it's supposed to trap them so that they eventually dry out and die. I have a superior version of that concept (made by Dynatrap) that works phenomenally well! I have a 1-acre unit in the backyard and a 1/2-acre unit in the front - couldn't be happier with them!

if you have a six seater car, the back two rows frequently fold flat, but the back of the seats are not padded enough to lie on. Use the car mattress.
