For those interested in history, the development of this stereo format was first used by the Royal Flying Corps in 1915, to show Recce images of the trenches in 3 D. That's what I was told by my Flight Sergeant, many moons ago.
I had a grey one (if memory serves). I spent hours looking at astonishing 3-D images of Popeye, Asterix and UFO. The UFO set was my favourite as I was a big Gerry Anderson fan as a kid.
I had a brown Bakelite one I think. Alibaba and the 40 Thieves.
