Had a toy slide projector when l was very young with popeye & felix the cat slide showed them on bedroom wall was great then used to go to Saturday morning pictures good old times thank you my friend hope your well and ready for Christmas Peter t darlington 👍👍🎥🎥🎥
I love this video. Such warm memories of having my projector(s) and screen in the 70s. Particularly remember Derann Film Services in Dudley, which sadly is now gone. In the early 80s, I worked in the West Midlands for a few years, and my office was a few hundred yards from Derann! I spent hundreds of happy hours perusing all the latest Super 8 releases. Great times!
I remember going to the Granada cinema, in Bedford, back in the 60's, and being a member of the "Grenadiers" club. Also had a U.S. variation of the "Give-A-Show" projector. I also had a fair few 200ft, 7 minute, Super 8 films in the 80's. "Earth Vs The Flying Saucer" and "War Of The Colossal Beast" spring to mind. I remember playing the films backwards! There use to be a shop in Piccadilly Circus that I'd go to get my Super 8's from. I think they were around £8 per film.
@@sixtieschild1035 It may have been. I'm talking 1963/4, but it definitely would've been an American one, as we were living in the U.S. at the time, but remember playing with it here in the U.K. in 1965. For some weird reason, I can still remember watching Quick Draw McGraw!! 🤠
