I don't own a jeep, but I did purchase a Rebel wire kit. I stumbled on this video for installation. My 47' Dodge is wire harness is similar to the this Jeep, except mine has a single 30 amp circuit breaker. Your video is very informative and helpful. Thanks again for taking the time.
Hey Drew, would you recommend that same 9+3 kit for a '69 Wagoneer, or would you step up to something like their 16 circuit? My Jeep is all stock currently, I have thought about adding power windows someday far, far down the road, although I don't even know how involved that would be in itself... and I plan to add some additional interior lighting, but all will be LED and can probably run off a single circuit. I might convert to electronic ignition eventually but am planning to stay carbureted. Any thoughts on which Rebel Wire kit to use? I was looking at Painless bc they're the big name in wiring harnesses but if you guys as FSJ experts prefer Rebel Wire that seems like a pretty good testimonial...
I'm working on the same type of J series with the same Rebel kit but, I can't figure out what wire to connect the purple hot signal flasher to at the steering column. I tried connecting it to the white wire but It didn't work any info that can help would be great.
the 79 has a different styel harness than the one in the video. normally with mid 70's area jeeps and up, we clean up and fix issues with the harness that came in the jeep. We can use a few different harness "IF" you want it all redone. please give me a call or email. contact is on my website. www.thejeepfarm.com each jeep is different and price depends on what else is on the jeep, IE lights, stereo, fuel injection etc.
If you're talking about the RINO grill, there's plastic repop's on Ebay the last time I looked. A TON CHEAPER than getting an old metal one and re-chroming it.
